The concept of zombies has always intrigued me and considering the popularity of the trope, I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who feels that way. The thrill that follows in the series involving zombies is just too good. It gives you the best kind of adrenaline rush. The zombie concept has “infected” not only movies but also anime, manga and manhwa.

If you like the concept of zombies and the drama that comes with it, then you’re definitely in for a treat! Today, I’ll specifically be talking about Manhwa that involves zombies, A LOT OF ZOMBIES. In fact, there are a few Kdramas that have been adapted from Manhwa showing zombies. So, are you ready for a thrilling ride? Let’s go!

It features chickens and cats trying to survive the zombie apocalypse. The art of this manhwa is very unique as well. You might enjoy this light-hearted art if you don’t like too much gore.

One day, when he was returning home after killing pigeons, a zombie bit him out of nowhere. Apparently, there was a zombie outbreak all around the city. Instead of becoming a mindless zombie, he retained some of his humanity and became a half-zombie. How will a psychopathic half-zombie act in such a chaotic world?

Zombies aren’t the only beings that people should be afraid of. There are far more horrors waiting for them.

Can you imagine a zombie eating vegetables? Because I really can’t! This manhwa will cater to a lot of other weebs with a bit different tastes. I hope you know what I mean!

This manhwa deals with a lot of themes, including horror, supernatural, comedy, and action. What’s interesting about this manhwa is that it includes both vampires and zombies. A vampire wakes up after a long time and comes across a zombie. The city he’s in has been destroyed and is full of zombies.

He was actually experimented on by Dr. Lee and that’s why he was not like other zombies. Dajeong doesn’t know the fact that he’s a zombie. He keeps asking Dr. Lee about his illness but never gets a satisfactory answer. When Dr. Lee takes him outside, things get really complicated.

There is a zombie outbreak suddenly, and he’s probably the only one the zombies can’t harm even if they eat to their fill.

Re: Survival opens with a zombie apocalypse. All the governments around the world couldn’t handle it and that resulted in anarchy. There was chaos and destruction everywhere without the presence of any law or controlling authority. People were even fighting each other. There was a battle between the two groups.

Yohan is our MC whose group was defeated by the other group. He accepted his fate and closed his eyes. However, when he opened his eyes, he found himself 6 months in the past when the zombie outbreak hadn’t happened. He’s the only one who knows about the zombie outbreak that’s going to occur.

A zombie was going to bite our MC, but he was saved by his best friend. This is a game of survival and smart moves in order to avoid a gruesome death. This one has a very interesting storyline so you guys definitely need to check it out!

 

9. The Ethiopian Pilgrimage

He wanted to keep his friends protected from the zombies but the other zombies did not care about what Seong Hun wanted. They kept eating humans because their minds didn’t work as Seong Hun’s did. Will Seong Hun be able to protect his friends and refrain himself from eating other humans?

One day, Ruby comes across a man named Arvan who had pale skin and had no heartbeat. Everything changed for Ruby and her father after that.

The characters are so good-looking. I can’t help myself falling in love with Arvan. I’m sure you’ll fall for him too if you read this manhwa. I totally recommend you to read TACIT.

 

6. Wake Up Deadman

4. Dead Days

They’re the ones who won’t be able to survive in the long run. The story of Dead Days is really engaging so this one is also highly recommended.

 

3. Hive

Hive has a slightly different take on the zombie apocalypse. This manhwa introduces us to Eun Sung Lee, who is a typical office man. It’s a normal day for him until he finds out about Seoul getting infected by giant insects.

These insects infect people and turn them into mindless zombie-like creatures. Eun Sung Lee, along with his coworker, Ji Eun Seong, and an old man, Eun Sun, travel in order to find Eun Sung Lee’s family in order to keep them safe.

 

2. All of Us are Dead

All of Us are Dead takes us to Hyosan High School where a teacher had been experimenting on a mouse with a virus. A student comes across that mouse and gets bitten by it. That’s when she turns into a zombie. 

She’s tied and locked up inside a room but escapes from there. She bites a student and that’s how most students of the school get turned into zombies. The rest of the students are now trapped inside the school. Will they be able to escape this situation?  

A Netflix adaptation of this manhwa came out in January 2022 and was loved by the fans all around the world. You definitely need to check that out as well!
