Hello, everybody! I hope my dear readers are safe and well. I am back again with more anime recommendations that you might want to wanna add to your watchlist!

This list is purely based on my opinion and through heavy research that may or may not have given me more eyebags.

The story starts in the year 2021 where an epidemic of Gastrea, a parasitic virus, has occurred. People who were infected by this deadly parasite will gain some abilities that may or may not be life threatening. This forces the people to live in a varanium-made wall that subdues Gastrea.

The story focuses on Rentaro Satomi, a high schooler and a promoter in the Tendo Civil Security Agency. He and his team go on a constant mission to fight the virus. As they continue forward, they are able to uncover some mysteries as well as experience an increase in their special abilities.

This series will give you a lot of mixed emotions because of its plot twists that are very unexpected.

30. Charlotte

Charlotte is a series that has a lot of plot twists and will leave your blood boiling with rage. The story is about a tiny number of children who attain special abilities once they’ve reached puberty.

The main focus of this series is Yuu Otosaka who is a self-centered, cold blooded teenage boy that would only do things for his own gain. This boy is quite threatening since he has an ability where he can possess people.

Oh, did I mention that the only person he loves is his sister? Well, he is a simp for his own sister.

To continue, Yuu’s abilities are kinda scary in a way because he can possess a person for 5 seconds and be able to steal their abilities. Hence, I added this to the recommendation list because you would be able to see Yuu progress further and attain the title of the One-Eyed Grim Reaper.

29. Aria the Scarlet Ammo

An anime series with the perfect combination of romance, action, and drama. This classical anime is interesting and the character development is quite satisfying to watch.

This series follows a guy named Kinji Toyama. Because of his trauma, he used to be an S-rank of the Assault department, but is now an E-rank Inquesta. The twist in this story was that he was being chased by some criminal who was after Butei members.

Do you think he would be able to beat those criminals who are after him?

28. Gangsta

A crime and action anime where you will be captivated by the stories presented in each episode. This series is set in a town where crime is a normal thing in the city of Ergastulum. From mafias to dirty cops, all kinds of people live in this city.

The story revolves around the duo of Worick Arcangelo and Nicolas Brown, who go by the name of “Handymen.” Basically, both of them take on any kind of job, from something shady to police work.

If you’re planning to watch this series, I would like to warn you that some of the parts of this series have mature content, so watch at your own risk. Aside from that, the characters are quite unique (and simpable) as well as the plot.

27. Alderamin on the Sky

Another underrated series that people need to watch.

The story is set in the Katvarna Empire, where a war took place with the neighboring country, the Republic of Kioka. Ikta Solork, a Katvarna citizen, who is known to be lazy and loves women (a playboy) suddenly joins the army as a military officer. This is coming from a man who does not have any interest or whatsoever about war.

Basically, Ikta simply wants to live a peaceful life but suddenly his life had a 360 degree turn. Wanna know what happens next? Well, watch the series and let me know what you think!

26. Kiznaiver

Another series that is quite underrated in a way, but if you plan to watch it, then you have acquired a gold mine.

Katsuhira Agata, is a high school student, who seemingly doesn’t feel any pain and is perceived as someone emotionless. He became a part of an experiment where seven high school students (including him) had scars on their bodies. These scars indicate the bond they have together.

Are you curious how Katsuhira Agata became a bad guinea pig for the experiment? Find it out by watching it! This anime is something I recommend to my dear readers! You surely won’t regret watching it!

25. Gakuen Alice

A classic romance anime series that is so underrated that you will be forced to read the manga out of curiosity. This series screams nostalgia and comfort, series that will surely charm you.

The series is set at the Alice Academy, a school where children who are born with a special ability called “alice”. In the school the students were categorized based on their power via “Star Ranking.”

The story will focus on Mikan Sakura, the female lead, and Natsume Hyuga, the male lead. You would be able to see how they both develop their feelings together and rise up through their ranks as Alice.

24. Big Order

The story revolves around Hoshimiya Eiji, an introverted high schooler who is extremely powerful. Further, he has a secret, and that is – when he was younger, he wished for world destruction. With that, he blamed himself from the Great Destruction that happened ten years ago.

You can see in this series how he hid his power from the people around him. This is because he was traumatized by what he manifested as a child.

As the story goes on, your jaw will drop once you find out the plot twist. So, my fellow weeb, I recommend you watch it and be mind-blown!

23. Anti-Magic Academy: The 35th Platoon

The Anti-Magic Academy specializes in raising their students to be witch hunters, whose main task is to neutralize any magical threats. Now here comes the 35th platoon in the academy, who are viewed as the weakest platoon or the “small fries”.

Well, I tell you, these small fries they were talking about are secretly OP characters. The only flaw in this platoon was that all of them were “self-centered” people who have issues. Do you think they’ll be able to work their way up through the ranks?

22. Wiseman’s Grandson

The story is about a young salaryman who died from a car accident. He was then reincarnated into a world where demons and magic exist. As a baby, with his previous memories still intact, he was picked up by an old man named Merlin Wolford. Merlin gave him the name of Shin and raised him as his own grandson.

With the teachings of Merlin, Shin was able to slowly get stronger as he grew. And at the age of fifteen, he was set to go to a magic academy suggested by his uncle. When he arrived, the first thing our main boy did was, he chose violence.

This series will surely keep you entertained with the life of our boy Shin. What do you think he did to wreak such havoc on the Academy?

21. Chivalry of a Failed Knight

Ikki Kurogane, dubbed by many as a “failure” as a knight, the only F-class student at the prestigious Hagun Academy, wherein students that study there are going to be future Mage Knights. With that, Ikki tries to prove his strength to a world that sees him as the weakest.

This series is engulfed with much comedy and mystery mixed up together to the point that would keep your eyes glued through the screen. Wanna know how Ikki was able to rise through the ranks? Watch it, I’m sure you will feel the satisfaction I felt seeing him upgrade.

20. Unbreakable Machine Doll

Raishen Akabane, a puppeteer, enrolled in the field of Machinart, at the Walpurgis Royal Academy of Machine Arts in England. However, our main character failed the entrance exam (poor kid). So, one way to get into the school was to have a battle with one of the top 100 students in the academy.

A little about Machinart, it is a combination of magic and technology that applies military principles. This series will give us a glimpse of what a beautifully concocted revenge looks like. Surely, if you plan to watch this series, it will be worth your time.

19. Assassination Classroom

Assasination Classroom is a series where students are required to kill the lovely but deadly Octopus, who is also their teacher, Koro-Sensei. This is so that they would be able to graduate from high school, talk about trauma for the kids.

I tell you, don’t be fooled by Nagisa Shiota. He may look timid and weak, but this boy has some hidden tricks up his sleeve. I, too, was fooled into thinking how weak he was compared to Karma (a simpable character), but nope, he is strong. You’ll see what I mean when you watch this series.

This series starts with a GOD level adventurer named Olivia who was trapped in a labyrinth dungeon for 200 years. This is after she tries to go into the hidden dungeon.

The main character here is not Olivia but Noir, who has a very unfortunate life. But his life slowly started to change once he became an adventurer and a student of the strongest adventurer whom he made a deal with. In this series you would be able to see the progress of Noir as an adventurer and how he rises from the top.

Surely, this series is quite fun to binge-watch and worth your time.

17. Magi: The King of Magic

Don’t we all love a main character who is carefree and funny? Our boy Alladin here will surely make you love him and his wit! He is one of the four Magi, a magician who is believed to be someone capable of shaping the world.

But let’s focus on the other main character, Alibaba Saluja, a former prince who turned into a cart driver that befriended Aladdin. Throughout the entire series, we could see how Alibaba slowly became stronger as he fought alongside Aladdin.

16. By the Grace of the Gods

Ryoma Takebayashi, a corporate slave in Japan, died in a very disappointing way. With the help of the three great gods, he was reincarnated as a young boy in another world in which he was blessed with a ton of magic power and the knowledge he had from the previous world.

From the start, he is already quite a powerful character, but due to his childlike (well, he really is a child) appearance, the people around him view him as a weak child with no one and ends up as dependent. With that, his journey starts as a kid who lives in a forest to a successful child.

15. Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?

A gifted girl named Kurihara Misato, who is a genius but has no friends, was killed right after she graduated from high school. Basically, she saved a child from getting run over.

Misato then meets God and asks to be reincarnated as having average abilities. Thus began her life as a 10-year-old girl in a magic-filled world.

Did God do his job well in making our girl average? Did he understand the assignment? Or maybe he got “lost” in translation?

Well, you should figure that out on your own! Watch the series’; it will surely blow your mind at how “average” her abilities were.

14. Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun

This series centers around a fourteen-year-old kid, Iruma Suzuki, who lives an unfortunate life because of his lazy parents. I mean, the trauma the kid has to go through so he could just make a living for himself because his parents couldn’t care less about him. However, his life turned when he was adopted by a Demon named Sullivan, who took care of him.

Iruma became the grandson of a demon and was enrolled in a demon school in which, apparently, his grandfather is the Chairman! This forces Iruma to have a chaotic student life. With that, his life as a human in a demon school will be full of bizarre situations that will leave you laughing till your stomach bursts!

13. Classroom of the Elite

A series that will make use of your critical thinking skills as well as appreciate the bigger picture of each situation the characters are in. It’s something I would recommend to my dear readers to binge-watch.

Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, enrolled in a government-sponsored high school, was put in Class-D. This class is where they put the inferior students who are viewed as incapable. However, little did they know that our boy here has an unrivaled intelligence, which he just doesn’t show.

But right after he met two of his other classmates, his life started to change as he involved himself with the drama that’s happening in his school. How do you think he will show his unrivaled intelligence to the people who look down on him? Let’s find out through watching this series!

12. Bleach

An anime that is considered by many as one of the best. This series is one of the BIG THREE action anime of all time. This should always be part of your watchlist.

This anime series follows Ichigo Kurasaki, who can see ghosts. With that peculiar skill, he was able to save Rukia, a shinigami, from the Hollows which then turned him into a substitute Shinigami. This changed Ichigo’s life as he slowly began his journey as a sub-shinigami.

This series will blow your mind as you follow Ichigo’s life. From uncovering secrets, the origin of the hollows, bankai’s and more! Let’s not forget how our boy grew stronger and rose through the ranks. This series is sure packed with so many things!

11. Deadman Wonderland

One of the best anime series ever, with the biggest plot twist ever! Similar to The Rising Shield of the Hero, Ganta Igarashi, was framed by the Red Man. It’s not what you think, though – it’s much darker and more sinister than that.

Ganta was framed for murdering his entire class. Hence, he was sent to a private island-prison called Deadman Wonderland Prison. If you’re wondering why it’s a wonderland, it is because above the prison is an ACTUAL amusement park.

With that, the journey of Ganta Igarashi begins in his quest to enact revenge on the person who framed him. This bloody series will surely leave your jaw dropping, once you find out who the Red Man is.

10. Black Clover

Another all time favorite of an anime series that has a top tier storyline and character development. Black Clover is a fun anime series that will charm you, from their humor to its action scenes, you won’t get over how great this series is.

This story follows the Nun-loving simp, Asta, who doesn’t have any powers but is physically strong. I mean, he consistently trains himself everyday to be strong regardless of not having any powers.

I tell you, this child’s consistency in working out everyday is something I could never do.

Anyway, our boy aspires to be the next Wizard King in the Clover Kingdom. So the first step to achieve that dream is to be part of the magic knights of the kingdom. Do you think he will get to join the magic knights with his lack of magic power?

9. The King’s Avatar

Have you heard the song “Traitor” by Olivia Rodrigo? Then this series suits this song well. The story follows Yu Xie, who is known to be the “Battle God” in an online MMORPG game called “Glory”. Basically, a professional gamer.

Now, if you are a gamer, you know that one needs to have a sponsor and a group of teams where you guys would embark on online battles. However, he was betrayed by his most trusted team, which forced him to end his career as a professional gamer. With that, he now works at a nearby cafe.

After a little while, he returned to playing “Glory” once he found out that there was a 10th server. Together with his new friends, they played the game with one goal in mind: to be “the best”.

8. The Irregular at Magic High School

However, they are both in different classes. Miyuki is viewed as one of the best students in the school, while Tatsuya is perceived as magically inept or an irregular at their school, this is because he is different from any other magic user. With that, the siblings’ roller coaster journey starts.

7. The Misfit of Demon King Academy

A rom-com series that would surely give you lots of butterflies! The story follows the strongest and unbeatable Demon King Anos Voldigoad, who decided to be reincarnated as a student from the future. Since his previous life is full of bloodshed, he hopes that this new life of his will give him some peace and tranquility.

Little did he know that his peace would be disrupted because he found out that his name had been forgotten. Instead, the people remembered the wrong name of the previous Demon King from 2000 years ago. With that, his journey began at the Demon King Academy.

6. Mob Psycho 100

A series that is close to my heart. Mob Psycho 100 is about a student named Shigeo Kageyama who has a secret: he has telekinetic powers that are too OP.

If you’re wondering how he is part of this recommendation list, then, it is because he was seen as someone weak at first. But once he started to show his true powers, people started to fear his strength and capabilities.

With that, if you haven’t watched this series yet, then I urge you to watch it, my fellow weebs!

5. My Hero Academia

One of the trendiest anime series that gets you hooked in right away.

Our main boy, Izuko Midoriya, is a kid who has no powers or quirks, but aspires to be a superhero one day, just like his idol, All Might. When he thought that he would never achieve such a dream, he suddenly met his idol, who changed his life forever. After swallowing a strand of All Might’s hair (yes, he ate a hair), he suddenly gained the power of All For One.

With that, he applied to the academy where All Might used to study, and his journey to being a superhero began.

4. Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest

Most of us weebs would agree that we dreamt about wanting to be isekai’d to another world. Hajime Nagumo, a weeb, got to experience our dream of getting isekai’d. However, when he thought it’s gonna be a fun experience, his life turned into a much darker turn compared to his life in the modern world.

Spoilers ahead! He was betrayed by his friend and was left on the Abyss. With that, he decided to go back to his world. With the help of his baby girl, Yue (the best waifu), he became stronger as he leveled and scoured through the entire abyss. This is where his journey starts, and along with that, he gets to have more baby girls that fall in love with him.

3. The Rising of the Shield Hero

If you follow the lawsuit case of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, then The Rising of the Shield Hero is an anime series that will surely leave your blood boiling with rage and the satisfaction you’ll get once justice is served. Seriously, it’s pure bliss once you have seen how the MC was able to prove his innocence.

Naofumi Iwatani, a college student who was suddenly isekai’d to another world that is encroached upon by a lot of monsters. Along with him are four other people (who are useless). He was chosen as the Shield Hero and was praised by everyone, but suddenly things started to change (this is where your blood starts to boil) when he was falsely accused of harassment by the Princess. With that, he was stripped of his honor and was discriminated against by the people.

This is where his journey began and how he became stronger. Wanna know how he was proven innocent? Watch this series! It will surely entertain you in many ways!

2. That Time I Reincarnated as a Slime!

Tensei is a story that focuses on Mikami Satoru, who is a corporate slave, died at the hands of a robber. After that, he reincarnated as a slime in a fantasy world. With that, he decided to lead a peaceful life in his new world, but will he though?

In that world, slimes were perceived to be the weakest creature in the hierarchy of monsters. But with his special skills (that are way too OP) together with his partner, Veldora Tempest, his simple life has turned into a fun adventure.

In this series, you will be able to see how Rimuru Tempest was able to increase his rank as he continues to develop himself and his kingdom. With that being said, I truly recommend this anime series to my dear readers who haven’t watched it yet. I tell you, this is truly worth your time.

1. One Punch Man

This anime was the first thing I thought of that screams OVERPOWERED and yet has the lowest rank. If you know this anime; then you too will agree that he is one of the best known OP MCs in the weeb society.

Saitama, a superhero that could beat any type of monsters. His special move? With just one punch, the monster will be yeeted to another world.

However, what’s funny in this series is that, no matter how OP is, he was ranked low compared to his subordinate, Genos, who was ranked S (the highest rank). With that, you would be able to look into how Saitama slowly rose through the ranks. If this piqued your interest, I recommend you watch this GODLY anime!
