ANIME QUOTES FROM MUGEN TRAIN THAT’LL TOUCH YOU (WALLPAPERS)
Kyojuro Rengoku Quotes
1. Set your heart ablaze!
-Kyojuro Rengoku, Demon Slayer
This quote is probably the one that stuck to people’s memories the most. It showed Rengoku’s sheer strength and determination. Rengoku is the OG and you can’t deny that. Even when he was taking his last breath, he couldn’t stop himself saying some words of wisdom and determination with a kind smile on his face.
2. No matter how devastated you may be with your own weakness or uselessness, go ahead and live with your head held high.
-Kyojuro Rengoku, Demon Slayer
Rengoku said this at the end of the arc. He was beaten, bruised, and defeated but he kept on smiling. He was giving very valuable pieces of advice to Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke who were beside him crying, because they knew it was going to be a great loss for all of them. His golden words should push us to be bigger than what we are now. He truly impacted the three of them and urged them to be more confident. That’s the true essence of a Hashira.
3. Don’t feel bad that I’m going to die. As a Hashira it’s natural I’d protect you all.
-Kyojuro Rengoku, Demon Slayer
During his final moments, Rengoku prioritized the safety of Tanjiro and the others. He finished his duty as a Hashira and somewhat of an older brother to the new generation of Demon Slayers. He didn’t want Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke to feel bad because he threw away his life in order to keep them safe. He told them that as a Hashira, it was his duty to protect them at all costs and he’s glad that he was able to do that.
4. Both growing old and dying are part of the beauty of being an ephemeral creature like a human.
-Kyojuro Rengoku, Demon Slayer
Just as Akaza was convincing Rengoku of being a demon to reach his full potential, Rengoku countered him with a line that proves that the fragility of human beings is beautiful as well. Human beings long for being immortal, but they don’t know the complexities that follow immortality. At the end, they are going to want to be dead because that’s how it works. So what even is the point of wanting to be immortal?
5. I will fulfill my duty! I will not allow anyone here to die!
-Kyojuro Rengoku, Demon Slayer
Regardless of how wounded Rengoku is, this quote really emphasizes the act of not giving up. His Flame Breathing revealed an extreme amount of fire as a sign that he was a lot stronger even if he had deep wounds. Kyojuro was fixated on saving the lives of Tanjiro and the others, fulfilling his duty as a Hashira. That’s why he grew stronger despite being heavily wounded. The sheer will of saving everyone made him push past his limits even more.
6. If you bare your fangs at innocent people, my bright red flame blade will burn you to the bone!
-Kyojuro Rengoku, Demon Slayer
As a warning, Rengoku unveils his protective side. Well, even nature will agree that innocent people should stay unaffected when disastrous events like this one took place. Also, this quote is quite similar to that commonly heard line in some epic and heroic battles: “leave the innocent people alone!” As a Hashira, Kyojuro can’t allow anyone to hurt innocent people. He puts the lives of the weak before his own. This is the spirit of a true Hashira who doesn’t even care about his own life.
7. Life is a series of decisions. You never have unlimited options or unlimited time to think, but what you choose in that instant defines who you are.
-Kyojuro Rengoku, Demon Slayer
Well, you might think this quote is a little poetic, yes, because this is from the last speech of Kyojuro. His last words are truly inspirational for the new generation of Demon Slayers. Looking into perspective, Kyojuro has stated the facts. Making decisions to be good or bad, to be a hero or a villain, to be yourself or the image you admire–relative to the decisions you make, what you choose is what you are. What your future looks like is currently in your own hands. The main thing that shapes everything is your decision. It’s all in your own hands.
8. Whatever path you walk you’ll be a great person! You have a burning passion in your heart! So let’s do our best! Let’s work hard in life! Even if we’re lonely!
-Kyojuro Rengoku, Demon Slayer
These are the words of Kyojuro to Sejuro before something happened, well, I can’t further tell you that. This line gives emphasis on the life lesson we can get from Renguko. It gives significance to working hard and applying some passion into it. One can get through anything if he/she puts some effort, some passion in it. Even when one feels like there’s no support for him, he should keep moving forward with a “burning passion”.
Tanjiro Kamado Quotes
1. Don’t run away! Don’t run away, you coward! Don’t run away! The Demon Slayer Corps is always fighting you Demons in the dark of the night where you have the advantage!
-Tanjiro Kamado, Demon Slayer
In this quote, you can clearly hear Tanjiro raging, well, because he is. He’s furious because Akaza took away the life of a precious Hashira he admired. He doesn’t want him to get away with what he did. He hated the fact that Demons could use the darkness of the night to their advantage. You can actually find it in Episode 1 of Season 2. After Tanjiro threw that sword, hitting the target, slicing him through but still alive. He would’ve killed Akaza if he didn’t run away. Tanjiro was raging with murderous intent right then.
2. No matter what, my heart will always be with you!
-Tanjiro Kamado, Demon Slayer
These are the last words of what Tanjiro said while departing from the dream world. He didn’t want to leave that dream. He didn’t want to leave his precious family again. Well, what he said is kinda long, but this last line really strikes the most hits. Wishing that he could stay there, but the only thing he can say is that his heart is always with them. He will keep remembering his family who were killed so brutally, so wrongfully and will avenge their deaths.
Akaza Quotes
1. Let me tell you why you can’t enter the realm of the highest. Because you’re a human. Because you’re going to grow old. Because you’re going to die. Become a demon, Kyojuro.
-Akaza, Demon Slayer
If you haven’t watched it, this line kinda spoiled you here. Well, it’s kinda obvious that this line is for Kyojuro before dying–saying that he is not even worthy of entering the highest realm just because he’s a human. Akaza suggested Kyojuro to become a demon and live. He must have been feeling exalted, making a strong Hashira kneel before him.
2. Watching the hideous decline of someone blessed with extraordinary powers… It pains me! I can’t bear it! Die, Kyojuro… while you’re still young and strong.
-Akaza, Demon Slayer
This line, again, was said by Akaza to Kyojuro. During their battle, a large volume of blood evaporated and filled the air. Well, these words result in making Kyojuro get more enraged. Akaza was insulting Kyojuro here. He was surprised at how a Hashira with exceptional skills and powers could become so weak before him. He was expecting a lot more from Kyojuro.
3. If you were a demon, you’d heal in the blink of an eye. Those would be mere scratches on a demon. You can struggle all you want, but a human can never beat a demon.
-Akaza, Demon Slayer
This line, once again, is for Kyojuro. Saying that being a demon really has the most benefits than being a human. Saying these exact words to the wounded Kyojuro. He kept urging Kyojuro to become a demon. He challenged Kyojuro that he can’t beat a demon like him no matter what, for humans are fragile and mortal. They have no chance against immortal demons.
4. There were never any Flames among all the Hashira I’ve killed until now. And no one ever took me up on my offer, either. Why do you think that is? As a fellow martial artist, I just don’t get it.
-Akaza, Demon Slayer
These words were said after Akaza felt his blood pumping for the first time again in a few years. It could mean a lot and was a witness to Kyojuro’s sheer skill.
Ruka Rengoku Quotes
1. You made me proud.
-Ruka Rengoku, Demon Slayer
This line means a lot more than the words it directly tells. Ruka, the mother of Rengoku, has really said these words, telling him how proud she is. This was when Kyojuro was taking his last breaths. He saw his mother telling him these words. That’s when he took his last breath while smiling brightly. This shows how much he wanted to hear them.
Enmu Quotes
1. All human hearts are the same. So fragile and weak like glasswork.
-Enmu, Demon Slayer
When Enmu said this, he was actually telling us the truth. Not only the characters of Demon Slayer, but we all are made of fragile hearts. Demons really love mocking humans and their fragile nature. Enmu is no exception. He will keep reminding humans that they are mortal beings and will break as easily as glass does when pushed to their limits.
2. I must say, I like to show a nightmare after I show someone a good dream. I love to see the contortions of a human face! To gaze upon someone struggling with their grief and suffering—so much fun!
-Enmu, Demon Slayer
Well, what can you expect from a sadistic antagonist? Nothing, but pain. He loves noticing the expressions of those who are initially having a good dream and then transitioning towards having a nightmare, facing their worst fears. Enmu actually has the power to control one’s dreams. It gives him a sense of satisfaction. So twisted!
3. To be able to die while dreaming… just how lucky are you?
-Enmu, Demon Slayer
Again, what to expect from a sadistic antagonist? Nothing else but dying. He’s actually talking to himself here. He loves the idea of dying while one is dreaming. The one who’s dying doesn’t have to deal with the pain that comes with it, apparently.
4. Falling deeper into their sleep, deep in their dreams. Forget to breathe, deep in their dreams. And even if a demon comes, deep in their dreams. Even in the stomach, deep in their dreams. You are falling… you are falling… into a dream. It’s a deep slumber. They can… no longer awaken.
-Enmu, Demon Slayer
This is one of the sadistic smirks of Enmu. These are normal words for those who enjoy the pain and suffering of humans. He enjoys saying these words to himself. Here, he’s actually talking about his ability to send a person into a long slumber. The person who goes into a deep sleep is the one who is never going to wake up again. Enmu keeps showing his twisted nature to be honest!
Kaguya Ubayashiki Quotes
1. No matter how many lives the demons take, the one thing they can never crush is a human’s will.
-Kaguya Ubayashiki, Demon Slayer
Kaguya is very calm with his words. Saying these words really shows how he really emphasizes that sheer will can overpower physical capabilities. Kaguya is well aware of the weaknesses of humans but he doesn’t believe that human weaknesses will stop them from moving forward. He also explains the weakness of the demons. They can kill as many humans as they want. But there’s this one thing in humans that they can’t kill, their indomitable will.
2. No matter how battered we are, we’ll always rise up again to fight.
-Kaguya Ubayashiki, Demon Slayer
Similar to Kyojuro, Kaguya has said these words to show dedication to their cause. These are some words to expect from Kaguya. As a leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, he must show his unbreakable spirit and will till the end. He must have suffered a lot in his past. But he wants to keep moving forward no matter how badly he was injured.
Inosuke Hashibira Quotes
1. Don’t cry even if you have regrets! No matter how pathetic or humiliated you feel, you still have to go on living!
-Inosuke Hashibira, Demon Slayer
You know Inosuke, and these words are really one of his highlights. His behavior really gives emphasis on not giving up. He found himself crying after Kyojuro’s death but he patted himself on the back and told himself not to cry anymore. He must keep living even though life gives you unlimited lemons.
Zenitsu Agatsuma Quotes
1. People don’t simply recover instantly. No matter how strong someone is, they can feel pain and sadness. But hiding from it doesn’t solve anything. You must rouse your aching heart and stand back up. I’m sure Rengoku was that kind of person.
-Zenitsu Agatsuma, Demon Slayer
These are the words of Zenitsu Agatsuma in regards to the death of Kyojuro. He simply gives emphasis on the things the Kyojuro would do, and that is not giving up. This was his own version of patting himself on the back and rising up from the grief of losing Kyojuro.
