Plot

A Spy, an Assassin and a child with mind reading abilities! What do you think is missing? Ah, yes, a fake family scenario.

Spy x Family revolves around the story of a top-class Spy with the nickname “Twilight,” he was given an important mission labeled as “Operation Strix,” what’s the first goal you ask? Well agent Twilight is tasked to find a wife and also  have a child!

Therefore, our secret agent set out to find a wife and child in order to fulfill the following steps needed to uphold the state of tranquility between Ostania and Westalis. However, the child he picked turns out to be a psychic with a special ability to read people’s mind, and the girl he chose to marry is a secret assassin, oh, boy, oh, boy, it smells like trouble and make it double! Will things turn out the way he plans it to be? Or will it fail and turn the world upside down. Follow the story of a Fake but wholesome family, each having their own secret to keep them safe from the dangers that lie around.

Loid Forger (Twilight)

 Meet our main man, a spy under the alias of “Twilight.” Now under the guise of Loid Forger. A spy who has nothing to lose, and devout himself for his country. He took on the mission of creating a fake family for the sake of the world. How hard can it be right?

Daddy Twilight is a character you’ll fall in love with, I mean blue eyes paired with short blond hair? How can you not? Along with the slick back hair! He is a handsome character that made women fall in love, he gets his mission done with that alluring face of his.

 This is a character who has cold eyes, and analytical thinking but will face a lot of exhausting moments, stuff that he never experienced before. Then I guarantee to you that this is worth watching!

Yor Forger

The next character I would like you to meet is none other than Mama Yor. She is the pretend wife of Loid Forger. She works as a clerk but is secretly an assassin. She is a hire to kill, and has a specific weapon that is slim and thorny, earning her the title of “Thorn Princess.”

Despite her godly-like ability as an assassin, Yor has a funny airhead personality. She may look naive and suck at cooking, but she is a kind person and acts motherly to her “daughter.”

Watching the show will introduce you to funny, charming, and sometimes an airhead but also a loving and kind mother!

Anya

Anya, the adoptive child of Loid Forger. Short, pink haired girl with mind reading power! I promise you with cuteness and wholesome moments as you watch the show! Get loud of awe moments and laughter that almost opened the scar in my stomach!

She likes peanuts and spy shows. She is a character that you could resonate with, especially if you hate studying! Anya acts at her age, she is funny and bubbly! She says whatever she wants and is not afraid to risk everything just to protect her friends.

Conclusion

This series promises a lot of iconic moments and memes that summon a hearty laugh from the depths of my heart. It has taken the hearts of many even the people who don’t really watch anime. It is very charming and refreshing—definitely a breath of fresh air from all the shounen-packed shows that I’ve watched recently. There’s also this ongoing joke in the fandom that the reason why this is even more unrealistic than the fantasy genre is that you don’t really get this family dynamic in real life. All in all, this is a really fun series and I recommend everyone to try SPY X FAMILY!
