Chainsaw Man is one of the best anime released in 2022 and became more popular than ever after getting its adaptation. A lot of the main characters were already introduced in the series and now we’re gonna look into more of them who are yet to be shown in the anime! So here we are, with the list of both major and minor characters from the Chainsaw Man series!

CHAINSAW MAN CHARACTERS!!
30. Tsugihagi
Tsugihagi is an unknown type of fiend and is also a part of Quanxi’s harem in the series. Even though Tsugihagi never speaks at all, her actions can tell that she is very devoted to Quanxi and her fellow harem. Tsugihagi is unable to have contracts with others due to being a fiend, and her abilities are far less powerful than in her devil form. In fact, among Quanxi’s harem, she’s the only one who has an unknown ability (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 54).
29. Cosmo
Just like Tsugihagi, Cosmo also belongs to Quanxi’s harem and is known to be the Cosmos Fiend. When talking to other people, all she says is Halloween in a cheerful manner. Since Cosmo is also a fiend, she doesn’t have the ability to make contracts, but it is still very powerful due to her being able to control dimensions. When she uses her powers called Total Understanding, she sends her target to a library dimension making them say Halloween until they die. She first appeared during the International Assassins arc along with Quanxi’s other girlfriends (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 54).
28. Tamaoki
Tamaoki’s role in the story is very brief, making him a very minor character in the series. When you see a guy with a mole on the forehead, then that’s him. During the International Assassins Arc, Tamaoki was one of the Public Safety Devil Hunters dispatched by Makima to deal with the Darkness Devil. Sadly, he didn’t last long and was killed off by the Devil along with the other Devil Hunters (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 65).
27. Kusakabe
Kusakabe was one of Tamaoki’s subordinates when they dealt with the Darkness Devil. He is also a Public Safety Devil Hunter who has a contract with the Stone Devil. Before they engaged in the fight, Kusakabe tried to use the Stone Devil against the Darkness Devil hoping to petrify it. But unfortunately, the enemy got the upper hand which led to Kusakabe and his Devil getting crumbled like stones (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 65).
26. Madoka
If you’ve watched the series, Madoka makes his first appearance during the 7th episode of Chainsaw Man. After Denji and the rest of his Division finally defeated the Eternity Devil, they went on a welcoming party for Denji and this included other Devil Hunters such as Madoka. His contracted Devil was unknown, and he retired from his job as a Devil Hunter after the Gun Devil killed almost all of his friends (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 28).
25. Fushi
Fushi appeared in the anime and manga the same time as Himeno since he was also one of the Devil Hunters who attended the welcome party. He’s also a Public Safety Devil Hunter and has no contracted Devils, however, he does have a partner who is an unknown Fiend as he mentioned it in his conversation with Aki.
Even though his time was short in the series, he is known to be a very respectable guy to his superiors as he tells everyone to thank Makima for paying their meals. His life ended during the Katana Man Arc where they were ambushed by the Gun Devil’s subordinates along with his Fiend partner (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 23).
24. Michiko Tendo
Michiko Tendo was one of the Devil Hunters who came from Kyoto. She first appeared during the Katana Man Arc when they were waiting for Makima’s train to arrive. When it comes to her contracted devils, then it’s called the Punishment Devil. Its abilities are unknown but it made an appearance when she, Makima, and the other Devil Hunters dealt with the Gun Devil. All we know about her personality is that she can be a considerate person especially the time when she and Kurose found Aki crying alone and decided to give him some space partner (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 29).
23. Yutaro Kurose
Just like Michiko, Yutaro Kurose was also a Devil Hunter from Tokyo and appeared at the same time as Michiko during the Katana Man Arc. For unknown reasons, he and Michiko both have identical horizontal scars on their faces when they were shown in the manga (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 26). He is also contracted with the Punishment Devil similar to Michiko’s case.
22. Nakamura
Nakamura first appeared during the International Assassins Arc when he and several other Public Safety Devil Hunters were dealing with Santa Claus. He was one of the Devil Hunters dispatched by Makima to defend Denji from threatening Devils. His contracted Devil is shown when he fought against the dolls of Santa Claus. Its name is the Fox Devil and is similar to Aki’s contracted Devil. He was able to fight for a while but was easily dealt with by Quanxi, the Crossbow Devil (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 60).

21. Masaki Ando
Masaki Ando is a minor character who appeared very briefly in the series. The only thing known about him is skill in using handguns and always requests permissions before using it. During the Bomb Girl Arc, he was instantly killed by Reze’s explosion ending his role in the story (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 46).
20. Tanabe
Tanabe is one of the Public Safety Devil Hunters introduced during the Bomb Girl Arc. When the Bomb Devil user, Reze, raided one of their facilities, Tanaba used his Mold Devil to fight against her. His Mold Devil abilities is that it can create mold within the body of its target. However, Reze immediately detached her head from her body with an explosion. Rize’s headless body then explodes towards the Devil Hunters killing them including Tanabe (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 46).
19. Kato
Kato is also another Devil Hunter during the events of the Bomb Girl Arc. You can easily tell him due to the big scar on his face. His only appearance is when he and Aki attempted to fight against Reze but persuaded Aki to escape while he stalls her. Kato then uses his contracted Devil called the Fox Devil, but it seems to be rendered useless against his enemy due to her agility. He was easily dealt with by Reze and presented his severed head to Denji and Aki (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 46).
18. Haruka Iseumi
Haruka Iseumi is one of the students from Fourth East High School and is the Devil Hunter Club’s Presidents. He also proclamied that he is the Chainsaw Man when Yoru asked him the Chainsaw Man’s identity and revealed a pull cord on his chest similar to Denji’s. But since we know that’s not true, Asa and Yoru didn’t also seem to believe him (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 112).
17. Pochita
Pochita is the Chainsaw Devil himself and you can consider him as Denji’s first friend ever since he was a kid. Unlike other Devils who take on horrifying appearances, Pochita takes the form of a cute-looking orange dog during his weakened state. He has a chainsaw protruding on his head and is deemed to be useful by Denji in cutting trees. Just like a chainsaw, he also has a handle over his body and a cord as his tail which activates the chainsaw.
Additionally, Pochita’s real form as the Chainsaw Devil is similar to Denji’s hybrid form. The only difference is that Pochita’s has a larger build and has more muscle (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 83).
16. Santa Claus
Santa Claus takes on the form of a woman who is known to have a contract with the Doll Devil. She can control as many bodies as she likes and even one of them is a Devil Hunter who came from Germany. Santa Claus is also considered by Makima as one of the most dangerous Devils if they were to go against Denji (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 54).
Other than that, she is also contracted with other Devils and not just the Doll Devil. These Devils are the Curse Devil, Hell Devil, and the Darkness Devil. This makes Santa Claus one of the strongest opponents during the International Assassins Arc.
15. Akane Sawatari
Akane Sawatari first appeared during the Katana Man Arc as one of its primary antagonists. She once worked with the Gun Devil before, and she also possesses the Snake Devil. After Katana Man was beaten up by Aki, it is then she made her first scene in the chapter and managed to revive Katana Man in an instant.
As the user of the Snake Devil, she commands it by uttering words like “Devour” and “Release”. This was once used against the Ghost Devil and completely devoured it along with its user. By saying Release, this allows Akane to command anyone that the Snake Devil has devoured after bringing them back to life (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 25).
14. Hirofumi Yoshida
As a guy in his high school years, Hirofumi Yoshida is deemed by Makima as one of the best bodyguards among the Private Devil Hunters along with Tamaoki and Kusakabe. Even though he’s a student, he never falls short in his Devil Hunter work and is dedicated to protecting Denji in any way he can.
Yoshida is also currently contracted with the Octopus Devil which takes the form of giant tentacles. He can create several tentacles to clear enemies and its ability to produce ink is best when it comes to stalling his enemies and escaping the scene when needed (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 61).
13. Reze
Reze or also known as the Bomb Girl is obviously the main antagonist during the Bomb Girl Arc. She is one of the most powerful adversaries of the Devil Hunters due to her explosive abilities. As the user of the Bomb Devil, of course, she specializes on bombs and explosives. She can even make herself explode due to her impressive regeneration ability. Just like Denji, Reze is also a hybrid and undergoes a physical transformation when she uses her Devil powers (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 44).

12. Katana Man
The Katana Man is another hybrid Devil just like Denji , Quanxi, and Reze. Its Devil appearance is somehow to Denji’s transformation due to the swords protruding from his arms and another one above his head. The main reason why the Katana Man is always out to kill Denji is all because of his yakuza grandfather. In fact, he is the grandson of Denji’s boss who Denji killed in the early chapters.
As the Katana Man, it is already a given that he has a big advantage when it comes to swordplay and is very quick when battling others. His only weakness is that he becomes incapacitated after he returns to his human form unlike Denji, who can transform again anytime as long as he has enough blood (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 27).
11. Quanxi
Quanxi is a hybrid due to the Crossbow Devil she merged with. She first appeared during the International Assassins Arc along with her harem of girls. Her harem consists of different Fiends namely Pingtsi, Long, Cosmo, and Tsugihagi. She is also called the First Devil Hunter for obvious reasons.
As a hybrid, Quanxi transforms into a humanoid creature full of arrows on her body with spikes on her arms and head. She’s an incredible mob killer as she can kill a lot of enemies in a short time due to being able to shoot several arrows (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 67).
10. Angel
Angel or also known as the Angel Devil itself is one of Denji’s subordinates in Tokyo Special Division 4. Aside from being a Devil, she is also a Devil Hunter and does not show any hostility at all to any humans unlike other Devils. One of her abilities is to create weapons by offering a portion of the lifespans she collected (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 60).
9. Princi
Princi is the Spider Devil herself and is also a part of Tokyo Special Division 4. She first appeared during the events of the Katana Man Arc with the form of a female upper body and eight legs that are similar to a scythe. One of her special abilities as a Devil is teleportation. She can’t teleport herself but the zipper across her face allows other people like Makima to be instantly transported to the place she’s in (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 66).
8. Hirokazu Arai
Hirokazu Arai is a Devil Hunter contracted with the Fox Devil just like Aki Hayakawa. Aside from having high standards, Arai really cares a lot for his subordinates like the time when Kobeni was panicking when they were trapped by the Eternity Devil. Though he didn’t last long during the Katana Man Arc due to getting ambushed by the Gun Devil’s subordinates. He sacrificed his life so that Kobeni would have a fighting chance to kill their pursuer (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 28).
7. Galgali
Galgali is the Violence Fiend from Tokyo Special Division 4. He always appears wearing a plague mask with his hood on. He may seem intimidating at first but he’s a very polite type of guy and can also be a bit wholesome since he enjoys watching other people’s reactions while he treats them. The only time that Galgali took his mask off is when he fought against the Darkness Devil revealing his 4 white eyes (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 65).

6. Himeno
Himeno is the user of the Ghost Devil and is also a part of Tokyo Special Division 4. In order to make a contract with the Ghost Devil, Himeno had to offer her right eye so that she could use the Devil’s power. This is also the reason behind why she’s wearing an eyepatch. She uses the powers of the Ghost Devil by creating an incorporeal hand. It can’t be touched but the hand can touch anything it wants to be just like when she pulled Denji’s cord to power him up again (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 19).
5. Kobeni Higashiyama
Kobeni Higashiyama is one of the new members of Tokyo Special Division 4 along with Hirokazu Arai. She is also contracted to an unknown Devil since she refused to disclose it to others during their welcoming party. Even though not much is known about her Devil powers, Kobeni is shown to have high agility since she was fast enough to be able to dodge the attacks of the Snake Devil (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 28).
4. Power
One of the most popular characters from Chainsaw Man is Power, the Blood Fiend herself. She first appeared when she was tasked to be one of Denji’s partners when dealing with the Sea Cucumber Devil. As the Blood Fiend, she can create any weapon using her own blood like how she created a giant hammer with it to take down a Devil. Power can also manipulate the blood of others but finds it as a real challenge when controlling them (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 18).
3. Aki Hayakawa
Aki Hayakawa is one of the first characters introduced in Chainsaw Man. He is a member of Tokyo Special Division 4 and is very loyal as one of Makima’s subordinates. He has formed contracts with several Devils such as the Curse Devil, Future Devil, and the Fox Devil. He also wields a sword which he almost never draws due to the fact that it can significantly decrease his lifespan when using it (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 18).
2. Makima
The head of the Tokyo Special Division 4 is none other than Makima who is also the Control Devil herself! Makima is introduced as a gentle, kind-hearted woman just like the time when she first met Denji. Unknown to everyone, Makima has her own beliefs and agenda which will eventually lead to the demise of her Division.
As the Control Devil, she is a very powerful individual since she can easily manipulate anyone she wants or even kill them in an instant if she wishes to. One thing you’ll also notice is her way of giving orders to some of her colleagues like Power. She commands by instilling fear into them to show dominance and that’s one of her abilities as the Control Devil (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 5).
1. Denji
Lastly is of course the Chainsaw Man himself, Denji! He is a hybrid devil who merged with the Chainsaw Devil, Pochita, after dying at the hands of the Zombie Devil’s men. By Pochita merging with him, this gives Denji a second chance at life but as a hybrid. He was also able to defeat the Zombie Devil because of this and was eventually recruited by Makima to join Special Division 4 (Chainsaw Man, Chapter 1).
CONCLUSION
Looks like this is it for the Chainsaw Man Characters we have for now. You may have only known some of them if you only watch the anime but since the manga is still ongoing, it’s still not too late to catch up because more characters will surely be introduced in the coming chapters!
