It’s surely not everyday that we get to see anime characters transported to another world using some electronic device, be it a phone, T.V. We get to see this concept in Persona which is mainly based on an Role-Playing video game series. The story of Persona is overall quite dark but that’s an interesting perspective of this anime. Characters in this anime have unique abilities. Also, the concept of this anime is quite unique itself. PLOT + SUMMARIES 

Persona 3 Movie 1: Spring of the Birth 

A High School student named Makoto Yuki observes a bizarre phenomenon that takes over the city. The phenomenon was nothing more than all kinds of technologies shutting down. All the humans are being closed inside a coffin. Makoto goes to the Iwatodai Dorm and meets a weird guy with a contract, after some time he meets his fellows. 

The very next day, Makoto decides to enroll at Gekkoukan High School. With his presence at this school, he was being investigated by the chairman due to his uncanny behavior which can be called his “potential”. 

These characteristics might have something to do with his parents’ death. Dark, isn’t it? After some time, Makoto finds himself inside the Velvet room where he has an assistant and a master named Igor. What could this whole phenomenon mean? To find out, watch Persona 3 Movie 1! 

 

Persona 3 Movie 2: Midsummer Knight’s Dream

As our main characters unveil the mysteries one by one behind the Dark Hour, Makoto along with his new friends face many new challenges. This movie begins with the SEES’ battle under a full moon. Junpei, Akihiko, and Mitsuru fight Shadow Arcana Hierophant along with Fuuka Yamagishi. He’s providing full support for them. 

On the other hand, our MC and Yukari are held by the Arcana Lovers under its magic but they free themselves somehow. After defeating the Shadow Arcana Hierophant, Junpei and his buddies come to save Makoto and Yukari from the Arcana Lovers and end up defeating Arcana Lovers. 

 

Persona 3 Movie 3: Falling Down 

Movie 3: Falling Down starts off with Junpei being kidnapped by Strega, Chidori, and Yoshino. Meanwhile, Makoto and his other buddies are fighting Takaya, Jin, and Shadow Arcana. It’s true that there’s no peace. After one trouble, another trouble steps in. Makoto gets unconscious as he sees a slight vision of Pharos. The Pharos threaten him that he will be leaving despite him not wanting to. 

However, due to endless determination, our boy awakens and ends up defeating 

the Shadow Arcana along with the help of his friends. After defeating him, they decide to celebrate the victory. Of course, it makes sense that you want to party after defeating all the 12 Shadow Arcana. Isn’t that right? 

 

Persona 3 Movie 4: Winter of Rebirth 

This movie tells us the story that happened ten years ago. It tells us how Makoto’s parents ended up dying and how Makoto was the only one to survive. Well, his parents died in a car accident. After this accident, he saw the battle between Aigis and Ryoji. These were known as the Shadow of Death. Since Aigis was unable to defeat him, he decided to seal the Shadow of Death within Makoto’s body. OMG! That sounds dark but thrilling. 

Till the present day, our boy clearly remembers what happened to him ten years ago. Our boy surely saw too much. Isn’t that right? The SEES’ members arrive and they decide to attack Makoto after hearing about his true identity. Imagine someone finds something dark about you, of course they’re going to attack you. 

 

Persona: Trinity Soul 

After the events of Persona 3, Persona takes place in 2020 in the city of Ayanagi. This city is located right near the Sea of Japan. At this location, the police are busy investigating reverse cases where victims turn inside out. 10 years ago, this city was suffering from the Apathy Syndrome though it recovered. 

During such a crisis, two siblings decide to visit Ayanagi city to meet one of their elder siblings who had become a big part of the police now. These siblings meet after ten years! Can you guys believe that? 

 

Persona 4: the Animation 

Imagine you’re an average person but through some electric device, you gain a superpower. What would your reaction be? Would you love having some super power? Yu Narukami is a guy belonging to the city of Inaba. In this city, a mysterious event of murders has been taking place. Our boy, after getting superpowers, decides to uveil the mystery behind these murders. He decides to investigate the criminal activities along with his friends. It’s always dangerous when you’re taking on a big challenge for yourself. Isn’t that right? It’s good to have friends by your side. 

 

Persona 4: the Golden Animation 

Persona 4: the Golden Animation is quite similar to Persona 4, but the Golden Animation has some of the exclusive scenes included in it. So, if you’re the type of person who doesn’t want to miss out on anything, you should definitely watch Persona 4: the Golden Animation. For instance, in the first episode of Persona 4, they cut some scenes including the one where Marie highlights Yu’s long nose. So, scenes like these exist in the Golden Animation.  

 

Persona 4: the Animation: The Factor of Hope 

Persona 4: the Animation: The Factor of Hope is actually a film adaptation of the anime series. So, it’s like a summary of events from the original Persona 4. Therefore, if you have no time to watch the whole anime, you can simply turn on this movie and catch up to the anime. It’s a smart way of watching. However, if you want to recall some of the scenes from the anime, you can always watch Persona 4: the Animation: The Factor of Hope. It’s always good to recall the main events and then move on with the story. 

 

Persona 4: the Animation: No One is Alone 

Imagine you’ve cleaned up most of the mess to find out there’s more. UGH! Well, our MC was going home after leaving Inaba City. However, at the very last moment, he could figure out who was the real mastermind behind the T.V. World. OMG! That’s very thrilling. Yu’s about to expose who really invented the T.V. World and drove them crazy. To find out who was the real mastermind behind it, watch Persona 4: the Animation: No One is Alone. Are you excited to find out? 

 

Persona 4: the Animation: A Brief Lesson On Izanagi and Izanami 

Persona 4: the Animation: A Brief Lesson On Izanagi and Izanami is one of the movies of Persona 4. It tells us about Izanagi and Izanami. So, this episode of 1 minute begins with a teacher asking their students about the first god. The students looked at him in a boring way since they didn’t know the answer. That’s when the teacher told the students about the gods Izanagi and Izanami. He also explains how Izanami died while giving birth to the god of fire. The students continue to look at their teacher as if they don’t care and some even fell asleep. 

 

Persona 4: the Animation: Mr. Experiment Shorts 

Persona 4: the Animation: Mr. Experiment Shorts is included in Persona 4 the Animation Collection 2nd DvD Box Set. These shorts are quite funny, if you want to see some comedy, you better watch Mr. Experiment Shorts. It wouldn’t be a wrong decision. Some anime are just too dark so we do need some comedy shorts for them, just like that, Persona 4 fulfils this desire. Therefore, make sure to watch these shorts, at least you’ll be refreshed. 

 

Persona 4: the Golden Animation: Thank You Mr. Accomplice

Persona 4: the Golden Animation: Thank You Mr. Accomplice has a similar ending just like the Golden Animation series. In this animation, Yuu finds out about the past and some circumstances of Adachi. Therefore, he makes a decision just to save him. 

 

Persona 5: the Animation 

Persona 5: the Animation revolves around a group of uncontrollable teenagers who form up a group of Phantom Thieves to get rid of slavery and corruption. WHOA! Pretty inspiring! Isn’t it? Let’s see what is the impact of these teenagers. 

 

Persona 5: the Animation: The Day Breakers 

The Day Breakers is a single episode which tells us the summary of anime adaptation. The anime uses the same characters as well. So, if you wanna watch everything in a single episode, Persona 5: The Day Breakers is the perfect pick for you! 

 

Persona 5: the Animation: Dark Sun 

Persona 5: the Animation: Dark Sun is actually the opening song of the animation. The entire story lives up to this one moment where Shido might prove to be a huge threat and the traitor is responsible for the historical device. There are some twists within this story too. Due to Ren Amamiya’s suicide, the Phantom Theives members are quite heartbroken and are left with no purpose now. Sae Niijima brings on the news to the Phantom Thieves and now they have to pull off another heist. On the other hand, the members of the metaverse are trying to prove that they’re helping people and are fighting for justice. These members are also aiming to turn down a traitor who once belonged to their team. Anyways, watch these warriors closely they might as well just steal your heart!
