Beyblade is among the most popular and entertaining anime series ever created. Particularly because Beyblades exist as toys in real life. This anime had kids and adults in stores buying Beyblades once they became internationally available.
Considering its goal was to promote sales of Takara Tomy’s Beyblades, it succeeded greatly. If you’ve never watched Beyblades, now’s a wonderful time too!
Initially titled in Japan as Explosive Shoot Beyblade (or Bakuten Shūto Beiburēdo), is the start of the original Beyblade series. Beyblade or Bakuten Shoot Beyblade is the scripted anime to the Beyblade manga series written by Takao Aoki. It is about a bunch of young children competing against one another in championships (or unofficially) with their Beyblades.
The plot of the Beyblade series is focused on Beybladers as they travel the world looking to reach the highest Beyblade title, World Best. These Beyblades are called the “Bladebreakers.” Slowly, they realize they have more to risk than they had thought.
Tyson Granger is the main character, a young kid who loves Beyblades. His Japanese name is Takao, after the creator. Very cool! Tyson becomes friends with another Beyblade lover, Kenny.
After defeating Carlos, the neighborhood Beyblade gang leader “Bladesharks,” Tyson discovers from his new rivalry with Kai that his Beyblade holds mystical spirits just like Kai’s. From there, Tyson competes in Beyblade competitions.
With our help, you’ll be guided on the correct watching order of Beyblade. So sit back and we will help you! Go on, keep reading as you get to see the best way to watch the Beyblade series in order.
HOW TO WATCH BEYBLADE IN RELEASE AND CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER
Beyblade Series (RELEASE ORDER)
The series release order of Beyblade anime is as follows:
1. BEYBLADE (Season 1) – 2001
Beyblade original can well be considered as the first season of this Beyblade series anime. Start off with this series to enjoy it better.
Standing as season 1 to Beyblade, this 51-episode series was the start of the televised anime series based on Takao’s manga series Beyblade. From January 8 to December 24, 2001, the series aired on television. It later aired to the United States, and Canada to mention a few in 2002.
This is where the whole plot begins, where Tyson gets caught up in the Beyblading sport and tries to balance Beyblading with martial arts. Tyson then ends up battling Kai, who easily won. Kai’s Beyblade already has its wielded bit beast, but Tyson is yet to unlock his mythical bit beast.
Kenny faces some friendship issues with Tyson when this new kid Max comes in. They all compete in Beyblade competitions against other teams to see who will become World Champions and rulers of the Beyblade ring!
Would the Bladebreakers team win the competition? You have to watch to find out. On to the next one, don’t want to drop any major spoilers.
2. BEYBLADE V-FORCE (Season 2) – 2002
After that season comes season 2, Beyblade V-Force. Did I mention all the series in Beyblade were produced by Madhouse? Yeah, they were, and Yoshio Takeuchi directed them.
From January 7 through December 30, 2002, V-Force was available for viewing. Want to know what to watch after the first season? well this is the one to watch.
So, current Beyblade world champions, you guessed it the Bladebreakers, are broken up and no longer a team. Max returns to the United States, Ray goes to China, Kai’s well, I don’t know, and Tyson spends his time arrogantly looking to rematch Mr. X
We find out who Mr. X is, Ozuma. Tyson’s friends Chief and Hilary get kidnapped, and he tries to track them down before they get defeated by the same mysterious bladers himself, Ray, and Max lost to.
Team Psychic and Saint Shields try to steal the Bladebreakers bit-beasts which lead to them reassembling to defeat their new enemies. Hillary joins but takes time to learn. Tyson defeats both teams and finds out Zeo from Saint Shields is a Cyborg!
3. BEYBLADE G-REVOLUTION (Season 3 Finale) – 2003
Next on the watch list is season 3, G-Revolution! It was aired from January 6 to December 29, 2003.
Kai, Ray, and Max leave Tyson and go their separate ways to rejoin their old Beyblade teams giving them all a chance to beat one another at the world championship as opponents.
New rules, tag teams of two, get brought into the World Championship and cause changes.Kenny makes an effort to keep the rest of the group together.
Tyson, Hillary, Kenny, and the new character Daichi along with Tyson’s older brother Hiro now make up the Bladebreakers. The two other teams are Battalion and F Dynasty.
Boris the secondary villain creates BEGA. Beyblade Entertainment Global Association and tries to take power and control over all Beyblade activity and bladers. Kai returns for a final match against Tyson! Juicy!!
There were only three seasons of the show at the time, and this was the order in which they aired. You’re welcome.
Beyblade Movies (RELEASE ORDER)
Now let’s investigate the order of the Beyblade movies.
Beyblade has two movies up and running! Namely, the Fierce Battle and the Metal Fight Beyblade VS The Sun: Sol Blaze, the Scorching Hot Invader.
1. BEYBLADE: FIERCE BATTLE THE MOVIE – 2002
In the Fierce Battle movie, the Bladebreakers are on a little holiday but Daichi Sumeragi, an annoyingly hyper kid, continues to seek Tyson for a rematch after he was defeated by Tyson in the Beyblade World Championships.
Tyson chooses to ignore Daichi, although they eventually did have a rematch on a boat with limited space.
Their little vacation gets cut short when they meet mysterious Beybladers, the Shadow Bladers who say they are dark spirits sealed inside a strange temple controlled by Daichi.
These Shadow Bladers are intending to destroy the world using their dark Bit Beasts. Daichi gets possessed by them and is used as a puppet for world domination.
Together, the Bladebreakers try their best to destroy the Shadow Bladers. In the end, they save not only Daichi, but the entire world! The movie is worth a watch.
2. METAL FIGHT BEYBLADE VS THE SUN: SOL BLAZE, THE SCORCHING HOT INVADER – 2010
This movie has a lot of points and areas to touch on, but I’ll just sum it up. It is centered on Gingka’s and Helios’ battles. During yet another summer vacation after playing in a recent tournament, a mysterious Helios visits.
Along with his grandfather, Bakin, they plan to use Helios’s Beyblade (the Sol Blaze V145AS) to battle Gingka Hagane.
Matters are heightened as the battle leads to more drastic consequences. The Sol Blaze holds too much power alongside Gingka’s Bey and causes extreme weather. The two fight head-on in a worldwide heated battle!
I could tell you who won but you have to watch it to find out! (Sike, Gingka eventually wins after losing the first time and Helios asks for another battle.)
