How to Watch Baki Series?
There are a lot of martial arts anime out there. It’s not known that most of the top-ranking anime out there would be based on martial arts, am I right? You know I am. One of the upcoming underdogs is Baki. This anime is an amazing and most parts of it involve martial arts because the sole plot of this anime is about fighting and to be honest that is the best aspect of this anime.
Baki is amazing and it’s pretty straightforward too. I don’t think it is that difficult to follow, but the main problem with this series is that the various seasons were not released in order but no need to worry about that. I have got you covered. The best advice immediately after this article is of course, to make sure to watch the anime especially if you are someone who is into boxing.

Baki Series Order
In the anime, there are about five series. Why don’t we take a look at what happened in some of the series?
I. Baki The Grappler
So the first series we would take a look at is Baki The Grappler, this is the first series of the anime to be released, and with two seasons at that.
The first season is called Baki The Grappler: Kid Saga/Underground Arena Saga, this series has about twenty-four episodes and it shows us how much Baki hates his father and how Baki is trying to get stronger to defeat his father in a battle.
We see him travel around the world for different training just so he can get stronger, when he gets back he ends up dominating a secret underground fighting arena that was filled with some of the strongest fighters in Tokyo.
Then the second season is called Baki The Grappler: Maximum Tournament Saga. This season is about twenty-four episodes and we see that a worldwide tournament takes place in the underground arena.
So you should know that a lot of fights took place in this season but at the end of the series we see Baki ends up fighting his half-brother Jack Hanma. If you are watching this anime you need to watch this part.
II. Baki (Netflix)
Here is the first take of the anime adaptation by Netflix. It has about two seasons with two different storylines, the first season has been discussed properly under the OVAs Order and the title of the first season is Baki: Most Evil Death Row Convicts Special Anime.
While the second season is called Baki: The Great Chinese Challenge Saga, it follows Baki and various characters in the anime as they journey to China to participate in the Great Raitai Tournament.
Over here we see Baki’s father also participating in this challenge that only takes place once every hundred years, this challenge aims to determine the strongest person in the world.
Another series that was released was also made by Netflix, this was a crazy one, we see an evolution take place in Baki’s life as he aims to be the strongest.
III. Hanma Baki: Son of Ogre
This series follows Baki on his journey to become the second strongest person in the world so that he can become strong enough for his father to view him as a worthy challenger.
So what Baki does is kidnap the President of the United State so that he can get arrested and put in one of the most supermax prisons to meet Mr. Unchained who is said to be the second strongest person after Baki’s father.
So he gets into prison and watches a rivalry between Mr. Unchained and Guevaru Jun who also just wants to see if he can beat Mr. Unchained.
So who do you think will win, Baki or Mr. Unchained? Why don’t you watch the anime and find out?
Baki OVAs Release Order Baki Spin-off Release Order
1. Baki The Grappler: The Ultimate Fighter(1994)
This is a forty-five-minute-long animation that follows the first few volumes of the original manga of this anime. In this animation, we follow Baki Hanma as he fights Shinogi Kosho.
So for those of you who don’t know, Baki is actually a high school student that is extremely athletic, he is a martial artist in the no-holds-barred MMA and he is in an underground tournament.
Doppo Orochi watches the last battle of his karate school’s youth tournament from his seat. One of his followers, Atsushi Suedou, squares off against Baki Hanma, a young teen who breezes through all the matches.
Doppo, along with another of his followers, Kiyosumi Katou, is intrigued by the boy’s strength and takes him to the infamous Tokugawa subterranean ring, a secret freestyle combat arena that only allows any way of fighting except the use of weapons in its battles.
He is quickly and steadily climbing to the top while proving to be a force to be reckoned with as he only leaves the dead and defeated are left behind. The question now is if he would be able to keep his streak going or end up getting defeated by some of the present top fighters.
2. Baki The Most Evil Death Row Convicts (2016)
This is the first take on the Baki anime from Netflix, the series kicks off by introducing us to a group of extremely deadly criminals.
They are extremely powerful and attack without notice. They all escaped from Supermax Prisons, some even survived their Death Sentence, and they all ended up in Tokyo. But what is the reason for this weird synchronized meetup in Tokyo?
Well, none of the escapees have any history together; they simply chose to break out of their separate jails throughout the world, coincidentally at the same time, all for one purpose, which is to know the concept of “defeat.” Because not one of these single individuals has ever been defeated, and they’re all coming together to face each other…
And which individual do you think they head towards, to satisfy their so-called deranged “know defeat” mindset, well obviously it will be the main character of this anime, Baki.
Want to know how the fights end up well, read the article and follow the watch order while watching the anime to find out.
