Good old drama has its charms. It’s an extremely popular genre to the point where attempting to create something out of the ordinary is close to the impossible.

Well, Manhwas and Webtoons really outdid themselves by giving us very unique titles far away from the clichés.

The main character of this Korean Manhwa is a high schooler called Park Hyung Suk. We all know that for a student, what matters most is looks and charisma. Those two qualities lead to them getting more popularity, and popularity will give you the best high school experience ever.

However, Park Hyung Suk was neither good-looking, nor particularly smart, nor funny in any way. He was just fat, ugly, and pathetic.

That makes him an easy target for the worst kinds of bullies. He was harassed every single day, and at that, he was miserable. Every day was a nightmare for him.

Unlike many others, his nightmare ended when a miracle happened to him. A miracle that propelled him to the top of the school’s hierarchy.

There, he stumbles on a shotgun. He takes it intending to use it against the monsters that are running his life.

Well, upon returning to the school, he actually witnesses real brain-eating monsters about to devour his classmates.

Their lives are now in his hands. He can save himself or help them all thus turning into the class Hero and earning their eternal gratitude.

Did you realize that the “Shrimps” are always the most savage and arrogant of all people? It’s like they have to prove that small people can have a huge impact. Gray certainly proved that point magnificently.

They think they are violent delinquents, ha! Don’t make me laugh, he’ll show you what violence really means.

One day, she accidentally ends up laying her lips on her boss’s neck and sees herself in a bed with him next to her.

She was horrified, although I don’t understand why, the guy is gorgeous. Anyway, her plan is now to make sure that never happens. That’s not something that should be particularly difficult, just don’t go home with him.

However, it will prove to be more of a challenge than expected since I repeat, her boss is dreamy and he seems to have genuine feelings for her.

You had your fill of cuteness and cheesy romance in the previous one, let’s get back to business with some badass macho MC just the way we like it.

Drastic situations need drastic measures so the “Education Protection Bureau” sent their best agent to fix the situation. That agent is known as Na Hwa-jin.

Na Hwa-jin is a very peculiar educator as he is most probably more ruthless and more violent than any of the puny delinquents that believe they are on top of the world.

He took the job determined to put them all in their right place without any mercy. If punishment isn’t enough, he’ll escalate his measures, and if this is still not enough the bullies might just disappear one after another, who knows…

Thing is, she’s super passionate about make-up and wants to build a career around it. She was about to forget that idea when she piqued the interest of a famous make-up artist who made her his muse and introduced her to the industry.

From there, she started to learn from him and got to the conclusion that makeup hides the true identity of an individual, it shatters their natural state. It’s a poison to society, however, in her hands, it can be turned and twisted into something much more than mere cover-up material.

10. Nice to Meet You

This manhwa comes very close to reality. You will find characters that you will be able to relate to and connect with emotionally.

It follows the story of a student called Mew. One day, she finds an identity card on the floor. She picks it up and was on her way to return it to its owner when another use for the card popped into her head.

The clumsy girl changed her mind and kept it to herself until the owner came to find her and directly confronted her. This is where the drama begins.

That simple meeting threw her life into chaos. Until now, she is not sure if the decision that she took will turn into the best decision she ever made or the worst possible one.

Time passed and yet he always felt like he was out of place, like he didn’t belong. For some reason, he kept getting dragged into all the school’s drama, from gossip, to fights, you have it all.

Something didn’t feel right there, he just couldn’t put his finger on it and when he finally managed to make a friend, that feeling amplified.

Her facade completely fell apart when she met a boy. He was the most popular student in the school. He was kind and gentle, also smart and most importantly he was gorgeous.

When she saw him, it was the first time in her life she felt that sudden urge to bite his neck.

I don’t know about you but when I read that title all I could think about are dogs soaring through the clear night sky like in some Disney movie. Don’t worry the manhwa is nothing like that. Just sharing my weird imagination.

Poppy is a cute and reserved book editor. Her life was refreshing, peaceful until she fell in love with the son of a Mafia Don. She was thrown into a world of blood and danger but she didn’t really care

His love for him was blinding and good for her, he loved her too. There was just one problem in their relationship, the boy’s bodyguard is determined to throw her out of his boss’s life.

His method is quite peculiar since, to drive her out, he decides to take advantage of her. She may be mundane but she’s still beautiful so why not make the best out of a sticky situation?

2. True Beauty

Sam has a dream, she wants to become a successful game developer. She already created some nice games and was on the road to fame… or at least  that’s what she thought until a famous gaming personality decided to try out her invention and give it a review.

Sucks for her, nothing good came out of his mouth and he put a tall on her career thanks to one single video.

She just wanted to kill him, hit him, rip him apart and it just might be possible since he is now her new neighbor.
