A world wherein their notable skill could be of good use. Their notorious way of living made them win the many challenges this unfamiliar word offers.

Maybe you have noticed the ecchi tag from the information table, right? That, my friends, because this anime offers you a lot of fanservice. And may I add that the main characters are stepsiblings (;・∀・).

Citizens of Tokyo tend to avoid passing through the dark alleyways. As it became an everyday occurrence, especially at night: flesh-eating ghouls blend into the crowd, searching for another prey. Their human-like features made them adapt to society to widen their control over humans. Ken Kaneki, once an ordinary boy, found himself lying in a hospital bed and found out that his body is not the same as before.

I must say it is a beautifully written story that highlights both the human and ghouls. Adding it with the drama and horror elements made the story more intriguing, which is probably why Tokyo Ghoul deserved the hype!

The organization “Night Raid” strives to assassinate all those who are under the corrupted Empire’s orders.

Centuries later, humanity is still on the verge of extinction due to the existence of Titans. These creatures mindlessly look for human flesh just to eat for pleasure. Humans have survived for the past hundred years because they have built a city with a hundred-foot wall that keeps them away from the titans forever—at least that is what they believed.

The story’s theme gives so much depth to human nature’s approach to survival and fear. And there’s more to it as it dives into political lore. And the writing! The way the author used the element of flashbacks blew my mind ヽ(°〇°)ノ.

I guess we all approve that this is a classic! The characters in this anime are fascinating to follow through the story as they debate the beliefs they hold.

Goblins have a reputation for being brutal and devious. And worst, they raid every village they can find to breed females. Yet, when desperate times, a certain man covered in armor, known as the Goblin Slayer, would always appear.

Subjected to cruel experimentation by the government, Lucy was born with horns and psychokinetic hands. Living with the abuse of her captors, she had the chance to escape such a cruel place. The instability of her mind made her have a split personality that would cause her to shift from a harmless child to a mindless killer.

Of course, we would save one of the goriest ones for last! Some scenes gave me a scare \(º □ º l|l)/.

Conclusion

Tokyo Ghoul

Though anime offers diversity with its variety of genres, most are still repelled by its adult-rated themes. The list above highlights gory, psychological, and sexual themes, but that doesn’t stop us from enjoying the story itself, right? With the characters being one of the most vital elements in anime, the usual character development arcs are always so interesting that we can’t help but love them! So don’t let it stop you from watching the mentioned titles because you’ll surely miss out on the good stuff. Just watch out for your laptop and tv screens (`∀´).
