Hello there, Ninjas! I hope everything is great with you. We’re back with another blog today, and as the title suggests, we’ll be talking about 23 anime where the main character looks like a girl.

When I first started watching Naruto, I was immediately charmed by Haku, but when I discovered he was a boy, I was shocked.

It tells the narrative of Hime Arikawa, a boy (COUGHS, I’m not sure if I should call him a boy or a girl) who appears to be a gorgeous girl that everyone wants to marry.

Hime Arikawa’s life is full of difficulties since he is moving from one place to another, hiding from the debt his parents have taken on his behalf and money lenders are hunting him.

Luckily, he’s been saved thanks to Shimoshina High School’s student council, although they are not as kind as they appear to be.

They’ve made Arikawa their servant, and he’ll have to serve them for the rest of his life by dressing as a girl. What will our MC do in such a situation? To find out, watch the anime.

After spending some time there, he was pushed and cheered on to become the campus’ princess due to his good looks. It’s difficult to be a princess since you have to charm everyone on campus by wearing a cute dress.

It is focused on Izumi and his adorable love story with Shikimori. Izumi is a guy who appears to be a gorgeous short-haired girl. Izumi is in love with Shikimori, who is basically the greatest girlfriend anybody could have, but she is hiding something that can only be discovered by watching the anime.

Hayato has been frail since childhood, and as a result, he has never been good at making friends.

Now that he has fallen in love with our beautiful MC, the issue is whether she will embrace him and his manhood, or will she treat him the same way everyone else does, criticizing him for looking like a girl?

Makoto has a great crush on Haruka, and he pays a visit to her house to see her. Chiaki dislikes his classmate, so Kana, the problematic sister, offers Mokoto a makeover, which is absolutely hilarious.

When he came to Tokyo, he met a lovely and kind-hearted girl named Sunohara Ayaka, and he now has no choice but to live with Ayaka and three other females from the school’s student council.

While everyone thinks of him as a female, how can he change himself into the one he’s always wanted (by change, I mean looking like a man)? If you love watching anime where the MC looks like a girl, then this one’s for you.

 

9. Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens

 On number 10, we have an amazing anime that is all about action, mafia, and secrets of the underworld. The anime revolves around the story of Lin, a long-haired man who dresses up as a woman and looks exactly like a woman.

The main reason for his cross-dressing is revealed in the anime which is kind of sad. Our MC was separated from his sister, and to feel her presence; he used to dress up like a girl.

In a city full of assassins and detectives, our MC is assigned to kill Zenji Banba, but instead of killing him, he forms a team with him, and together they start their journey to become a dynamic duo that is feared by everyone.

This anime is perfect for you if you are looking for an anime where the MC looks like a girl.

 

8. I My Me! Strawberry Eggs

His father works as a producer, his mother is an actress, and his brother is a rock star. While everyone expects him to be a superstar, he is the total opposite.

Our main character is a die-hard Otaku who wants to be a manga artist. The plot gets more interesting when a boy from a magazine shoot (of which our MC was a part) falls in love with Izumi without realizing he is a guy, and the situation becomes hilarious.

Don’t forget to watch it if you like watching comedy anime where the MC is mistaken for a girl.

 

6. Baka & Test – Summon the Beasts

The plot centers around Hideyoshi Kinoshita, who enrolls in Fumizuki Academy, and this is where the exciting adventures begin. All of the bad students are in class F, and our MC is one of them. Everyone thinks Hideyoshi is a girl who is kind of funny.

Not only that, but there are other supernatural and magical elements that contribute to the fascination of this anime. So, what are you waiting for? Start watching this anime as soon as possible.

  

5. Otoboku: Maidens are Falling for Me!

You probably believe it’s not a big deal, right? Let me tell you, the school is only for girls, and our MC is a boy; thus, he will be unable to study there.

As I previously stated, our MC adores his Grandpa, and to fulfill his dream; he disguised himself as a woman. What occurred next is just hilarious.

 

4. Demon Slayer

ROAR LIKE A BOAR because we’re about to talk about Inosuke from Demon Slayer. The plot of Demon Slayer centers around Tanjiro and his pals, who are on a quest to get rid of the demons that destroyed their lives.

The trio consists of Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke. Inosuke is one of the main characters. He is an extremely strong guy who wears a Boar mask to hide his face. When his face was shown in the anime, everyone thought he was a girl because Inosuke had an extremely pretty face.

Even in the Entertainment District Arc, everyone mistook him for a girl, and he was regarded as one of the most beautiful girls there.

Watch this anime right now, you won’t regret doing it.

 

3. Princess Jellyfish

It revolves around a girl named Tsukimi Kurashita who is simply obsessed with jellyfish the same way I am obsessed with Spy x Family.

She is a 19-year-old girl who wants to be an expert illustrator. Kuranosuke Koibuchi, a guy who appears like a woman, approached her one day and impressed our MC by saving a jellyfish.

He gradually became interested in Kurashita and her friends, and they constantly mistook him for a lady.

Why is Kuranosuke keeping this secret from her? Is he madly in love with our main character? Hmmm, the answer to this question can be revealed by watching the anime. So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and watch this fantastic anime.

 

2. Assassination Classroom

This anime is also known as Ansatsu Kyoushitsu, and I love this anime because it has given us many unforgettable characters, one of which is Nagisa Shiota, one of the MC’s in this show and one of the most talented students in class 3-E.

He gets compared to other girls in class because of his short height and appearance, but our MC never really pays attention to what everyone is saying about him. Rather than answering them, he waits for the right moment and stuns everyone with his abilities and intelligence.

The Assassination Classroom is not limited to that. In this anime, a whole new world of wholesomeness and action is introduced. It is indeed a masterpiece.

 

1. That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime

For our number one spot, we have an anime that simply tells the basic plot of the series through its name. As the name suggests, this anime is about a guy who was reincarnated into another world as slime.

This is the story of Rimuru Tempest, who now looks like a girl due to some events that happened after he successfully lived as a slime and even built his own village.  

Not only that, but after being reborn, he gained some amazing powers. How can our MC survive in this world filled with monsters, magic, and adventures? Start watching this anime right now and find out for yourself.
