Soooo, I’ll be talking about Tower of God recommendations. Tower of God is one of the most popular manhwa out there. It is one of the few manhwa that got adapted into an anime and became a big hit. Others include God of Highschool and Noblesse. 

I’ll explain the plot of this amazing manhwa. It talks about the story of a teenager named Bam. Bam lives in a world in which exists a tower named the Tower of God. People worldwide try to conquer as they believe there are endless riches at the top. However, these people are supposed to be chosen by the tower itself.

On the other hand, there are people who can climb the tower with their own free will. These people are known as irregulars, and Bam is one of them. But, our MC has just one goal. He wants to find his friend, Rachel. There is plenty of action in this manhwa.

Let’s just start the list.

The plot of this manhwa features the story of a teenager named Gangryong. Gang is not your typical teenager. He is pretty strong. He has a big dream. He wants to become the strongest martial artist. In his high school, he was the strongest. However, everything changes as he encounters a martial artist who defeats him.

Gandryong decides to become his disciple. He trained really hard and got even stronger. After one year, he discovers that his master is dead. What will he do now? He ultimately decided to carry his master’s duty and find people with supernatural abilities.

Like Bam, Gangryong is pretty determined to achieve his dream.

 

27. The Breaker

The Breaker is another confounding addition to this list.

Shi-Woon Yi is the protagonist of this manhwa. Shi is portrayed as a weak student who is bullied a lot in his school. He even wanted to commit suicide because of this. 

However, everything changes as he discovers that his teacher, Chun-Woo, is an amazing martial artist. He begs his teacher to teach him. At first, he denied it, but after some time, he decided to conduct a test. A test for Shi-Woon to prove that he is indeed worthy of being taught martial arts. And guess what? Shi-Woon passed this test.

Just like Bam, Shi-Woon has some intense determination. He can do anything to achieve his goal.

 

26. Weak Hero

Weak Hero is another amazing addition to this list. The plot revolves around the story of Si-Eun Yeon. Si-Eun is a transfer student. He was transferred to a school full of delinquents. Weak students are bullied all day and there is no one to help them.

However, all this changes after Si-Eun’s transfer. Despite being short, Si-Eun is a pretty strong fighter. His technique is pretty flawless. Now, the main question here is, can he alone stop all these bullies and change the system? Well! It won’t be that easy.

The main similarity between TOG and this manhwa is the somewhat dark theme. 

 

25. The Gamer

Another pretty interesting manhwa on this list is the Gamer.

Han Jee-Han is the protagonist of this manhwa. Han Jee has the unique ability to transfer the world into a game setting. Meaning, he can see the stats of other people and level up as well. The shocking thing here is that he is not a shut-in NEET. He has friends and even goes to school.

Now, the main question here is, can he manage his school with his new found ability? 

Most weebs consider this manhwa as a reverse isekai. I guess y’all are really into that underrated genre, huh? 

The main similarity between this manhwa and TOG is the fact that both MCs have pretty unique abilities.

 

24. Hardcore Leveling Warrior

Hardcore Leveling Warrior has a pretty simple premise. The story revolves around our MC, Ethan. Ethan was considered the best player in a game named Lucid Adventure. The game itself was proclaimed the best game in the entire world.

However, this is a manhwa. Something has to happen. Someone was surprisingly able to defeat our MC. WHAT??!!!! After that, his level fell from 99 to 1. Now, he has to level up again. Otherwise, he would be considered a cheater. 

Can he do it? I’m pretty sure he can. What do you guys think?

The main similarity between this manhwa and TOG  is the fact that both MCs are fallen greats. 

 

23. 4 Cut Hero

Cut Hero is another interesting addition to this list. The plot of this manhwa might seem a bit too generic, but the author has done an amazing job in keeping the audience interested.

Zeed is the MC of this show and is also the HERO. As he is the MC, he defeated the demon lord and saved the princess. It was supposed to finish everything and make everyone happy. However, the afterevents turned out quite disastrous. It became a literal nightmare for him. 

I won’t spoil further the story to y’all. It would just ruin the fun. And if I tell you the similarities, it would still spoil everything, so I won’t.

 

22. Flow

Unexpected gifts are always good. The MC of this show also received an unexpected gift, but from whom? Well! He received a gift from the Guardian God, and this gift just changed his life. 

He was given some unique powers as well that made him pretty strong. Now, the main question here is, what is he supposed to do with these newfound abilities? Is there some evil entity he has to defeat? You’ll find the answers to these questions in the manhwa. 

The main similarity between TOG and Flow is the fact that both MCs were given some strange abilities.

The premise of this manhwa is pretty interesting. 

I’ll tell you about the world building of this manhwa. The world in which our MC lives was once pretty ordinary like ours. However, after the discovery of mana, people were able to use magic. 

Of course there were some restrictions. The story continues as a red robed villain appears in the town. He used his magic to kill criminals. You can’t just call him a villain, but he was doing it the wrong way. A detective named Kim was tasked to catch him. However, it is not that easy to catch him in this world of magic.

The main similarity between this manhwa and TOG is the dark theme and the mystery aspect.

 

20. Dungeon Reset

Dungeon Reset is another underrated gem. It resembles TOG in many ways. You can call it a lighter version of TOG.

This manhwa features the story of Jung Daeun. Jung was mysteriously teleported inside a dungeon. Some other peeps were also teleported. As Jung is the MC, he was the only one capable of leaving this dungeon. But, for this, he had to pass many tests. 

The main similarity between this manhwa and TOG is the factor of tests. You have to pass some tests in order to proceed to the next level.

Gosu is another interesting addition to this list. I am a huge fan of unique manhwa/manga, and this manhwa is just perfect.

The plot of this manhwa revolves around revenge. The MC of this show is named Gang Yong. He is a pretty strong martial artist. His master was considered one of the strongest martial artists. However, everything changes as he discovers that his master was attacked and is on the verge of death. 

He wants revenge. Now, this is where the fun part begins. The people who attacked his master were already killed by someone else. What will he do now? All he has on his mind is REVENGE!!

The main similarity here is the fact that both Gang Yong and Bam are dead set on finding what they desire.

I Am The Sorcerer King is one of the most underrated manhwa on this list. The story, characters, and the art style, everything is just so good. The plot might seem a bit generic, but it still somehow manages to keep its audience interested.

I’ll tell you a bit about the world in which our MC lives. This world used to be pretty peaceful like ours, however, a strange event led to the appearance of monsters. On the other hand, humans also gained some unique abilities to defeat these monsters. We have seen this plot in many manhwa. 

Our MC is also one of these special humans. You can already guess from the title about the MC’s identity, lol! I won’t spoil ya any further.

The main similarity between this manhwa and TOG is the amazing leveling system. 

 

17. SSS Class Revival Hunter

The MC of this manhwa, Kim Gong-Ja, resembles Natsuki Subaru in many ways, lol!

Kim was considered weak in the world he lived in. However, like other manhwa MCs, he got a special power up. He gained the ability to copy other abilities. Now, what? He should become the most OP character. But, he was killed by the number 1 hunter.

This is where the fun begins. He suddenly gains another special ability, the ability to return back into time. Lol! This manhwa feels like a weird mixture of random manga. This is what makes it enjoyable.

Ahhhh! This Korean webtoon is something else. Noblesse is also one of the most popular manhwa out there. 

The thing that makes this manhwa great is the presence of Vampires. Yess! You read that right, VAMPIRES!! I firmly believe that the presence of vampires makes any manhwa/manga 100 times better. This amazing manhwa features the plot of a vampire named Rai.

Rai has been asleep for the last 820 years. After he woke up from his deep slumber, he realized that he knew more about the humans of this Era. So, he decided to enroll in a school. Ofc, he has to face some difficulties. He was even targeted by an evil organization.

 

15. Kubera

Kubera is the next manhwa on the list of manhwa similar to the Tower of God.

The plot of this manhwa is a bit dark. 

Kubera’s entire village was destroyed on her sixteenth birthday. Pretty tragic, right? After this event, a magician named Asha came to her rescue. You can call Asha her savior.

Together, both of them decided to uncover the truth of this world full of magic, gods, and other beings. I don’t want to spoil the rest of the manhwa to y’all I’ll just tell you this, Kubera is the key in solving all of the mysteries. 

Both Bam and Kubera are quite mysterious, and the theme of this manhwa is pretty similar to TOG.

The plot of this manhwa is relatively simple. The main thing that makes it amazing is the amazing set of characters. It features the story of Iremi, Enzu, and an immortal magician named Ethermask.

All three of them have different goals as they wander around. However, they do have a common goal as well, and that is to find the secret behind Ethermasks immortality. This manhwa has over 500 chapters, and if you are into manhwa with slow pacing like TOG, then you will surely love it.

Ahhh! This list is incomplete without this manhwa. Desir Arman is the MC of this manhwa. 

Desir and his comrades were trapped inside the shadow labyrinth for the past 10 years. They were trying to conquer it as it would completely wipe out entire humanity. Despite being quite strong, Desir was not strong enough to conquer it and it resulted in the loss of his own life. 

However, he is the MC, so he was reincarnated back in time. This time around, he promises to protect his comrades and become strong. Both Bam and Desir are similar in the sense that both of them want to protect their comrades at any cost.

 

12. Dice

The MC of this manhwa is named Dongtae. Dongtae, despite being the protagonist, is the weakest character in the entire series. He is good at nothing. However, he was given a chance. A chance to improve his life. How? Well! He had to roll a dice that would decide his fate.

Is it really worth it? What if he gets even worse luck? He thinks that it wouldn’t get worse than it already is. So, he decides to take the bait. The characters of this manhwa are pretty interesting in my opinion. 

The main similarity between this manhwa and TOG is the fighting pattern. 

 

11. unOrdinary

unOrdinary is another great addition to this list. The plot of this manhwa is not that special, but it still manages to keep you on edge somehow.

I’ll tell you a bit about the world where our MC, John, lives. John’s father wrote a mysterious book that granted people special abilities. Of course, it changed the way this world works. People who got special powers started to dominate other people. 

Despite his father, John was pretty ordinary. The school he attended was full of supernatural ability users, and the hierarchy was according to the abilities. The fun part here is that no one knows about John’s past. If they knew, it would just destroy the school’s hierarchy. 

Interesting, right? John and Bam are pretty similar in this regard. Both of them have some mysterious past that can destroy everything.

 

10. Red Storm

Red Storm is an underrated gem in my opinion. It has an amazing set of characters and a pretty interesting story.

Yulian Provoke is the MC of this show. Yulian has one goal in his life. He wants to become the strongest warrior in his village. The village he lives in is at the border of two enemy nations, and it is named the Red Desert.

One day, Yulian saved a man in the desert. At that time, he did not know that the man was pretty strong. After knowing about his strength, he demanded to become his student. That man accepted. This marks the beginning of Yulian’s amazing journey.

 

09. Tomb Raider King

Tomb Raider King is a manhwa that feels like a blend of multiple manhwas including TOG.

It features the story of See Joo-Heon. The world in which See Joo is full of mysterious tombs. And of course, there is treasure inside these tombs. There are also some strange artifacts that grant the user some strange abilities. Using these abilities, the tomb conquerors started to rule over the weak. 

Our MC was against all of it, hence he decided to rob these rulers of their artifacts. He thinks that he is destined to conquer all the tombs.

The plot of this manhwa is pretty interesting. Rood is the protagonist of this manhwa. Rood is a magician and a pretty strong one as well. He is known as the Black Magician. Despite all this, his agency has been giving him mundane tasks. He was pretty tired of this routine.

However, everything changes as he was given the task to protect the son of an important person as he was going to school. Pretty simple, right? Now, this is where the fun begins. The school is not ordinary. There is some mystery behind it and Rood has to uncover it soon. Otherwise, the whole world could be in trouble.

 

07. Hellper

I really love the plot of this manhwa. It has many twists and turns. 

The MC of this show, Gwangnam, was the leader of a biker gang. He dies in a bike crash and is sent to the underworld. He also received a black bracelet. He was pretty devastated. However, he still had some hope as he was told that he can trade 100 black bracelets for a white one.

The white one would allow him to reincarnate. How are TOG and this manhwa similar? Well! The main theme of both manhwa is to never give up. Both Bam and Gwangnam gave it their all to achieve whatever they wanted. And man! I really love this concept!

Sihoon is the MC of his manhwa. Sihoon’s parents died when he was young. He was living with his sister. He was living a pretty ordinary life. However, everything changes as he meets a mysterious being named Mephisto. Mephsito was looking for Faust. Sihoon promised to help him. 

This marks the beginning of his journey. The only similarity between this manhwa and TOG is the amazing set of characters and the same dark theme.

The MC of this manhwa is named Jin Mori. Jin is not your ordinary teenager. Why? Well! I’m afraid I can’t tell you that. I’ll tell you the main premise of this manhwa. The plot revolves around a tournament named the God of Highschool. High Schoolers from all around Korea participated in it including our MC.

The main prize of this tournament is to grant any wish. However, things escalated pretty quickly and the show turned into a battle between Gods, lol!

The main similarity is the fact that both the MCs have some secret identity about which they don’t know.

The MC of this show is named Hyeon U-Kim. Hyeon was mysteriously trapped inside a tower full of strange monsters and beings. He was tasked with defeating these monsters. 

After 12 long years, he was able to kill all of the monsters inside the tower—making him the strongest human alive. Now, he was free to go outside. After gaining such strength, he wanted to take revenge from people who trapped him inside the tower. Well! He is the STRONGEST human after all, he fears no one now, I bet.

Omniscient Reader is one of the most popular manhwa out there. Fans are crazy about it. I mean, they should be!

Dokja is the MC of this show. He is your ordinary salaryman who has nothing going on in his life. However, his life changes as the world suddenly transforms into the world of a web novel. I’ll tell you a bit about this web novel. The most interesting thing here is that Dokja was the sole reader of that novel.

He knows anything and everything about it. He knows about the ending as well. Even though he is not the protagonist, he still is the most powerful character as he knows every detail. 

The main similarity between this manhwa and TOG is the fact that both MCs are considered pretty weak in the beginning, but have proven themselves in the long run.

Finally, the second to the last manhwa on this list—Second Life Ranker. The plot of this manhwa revolves around revenge and betrayal.

Yeon Woo-Cha is the protagonist of this amazing manhwa. Yeon’s brother was killed as he attempted to climb the tower of the sun god. Yeon Woo did not know about this. After some time, he received a watch that told him the entire story of his brother, like how he was betrayed.

Now, he wants revenge. The only thing on his mind is REVENGE. Using his brother’s leftover knowledge, he decides to climb the tower by himself. Can he do it?

If you are a manhwa fan and you tell me that you haven’t heard about Solo Leveling, I wouldn’t believe you. I mean, it is not even possible. Solo Leveling is the most popular manhwa out there. It’s sad that it doesn’t have an anime adaptation.

Sung Jin-Woo is the main character of this manwha. Jinwoo lives in a world full of gates and monsters. And of course, there are humans who conquer these gates. These humans are known as hunters. Jinwoo, despite being the protagonist, was known as the weakest hunter. 

As I’ve already said, Jinwoo is the PROTAGONIST. Some strange events led to him being able to level up. It is said that hunters cannot become stronger after their rank is already specified, however, Jinwoo can!! 

There are some similarities between this manhwa and TOG, and that is mostly the theme. Solo Leveling has one of the best art styles. No wonder it is this high on drugs. 

 

Conclusion

Sooo, here is the list guys. I sincerely hope that you will like it. TOG is an amazing manhwa. The concept is pretty unique, so finding other manhwa like it was a really difficult task. And ranking them was even more difficult.
