At the beginning of the manhwa, Jushin has already been destroyed and broken up into many kingdoms, which are mostly run by evil warlords. When we say “Shadow,” the first thing that comes to our mind is that dark thing that keeps following us, but that is not the Shadow I was referring to. I was referring to the Super Human Assistance Department Office Worker. They usually have this idea to clean up the mess that superheroes have made upon fighting.

You can now have some ideas why this manhwa made into this list, but to tell you, this manhwa is really something worth reading. It has some superheroes, superpowers and actions that are quite similar to the Superhuman Era.

9. Tower of God

Tower of God

This manhwa introduced Twenty-Fifth Bam–just a moniker of our next kid MC.  He spent many years locked under a large and enigmatic Tower, only with his close companion, Rachel, to cheer him up. Bam was distraught as Rachel entered the Tower.  Somehow, Bam was able to unlock the entrance, hence qualifying him to also enter the Tower. He will walk whatever distance it is just to see Rachel once again even if it costs him his life.

Tower of God also gives highlights on action-fantasy adventures of our MC the same way Lim Kang of Superhuman Era have experienced. This manhwa also has some monsters-MC fight scenes as they addressed relevant social issues similar to the Superhuman Era.

8. Vulcan

When we hear the word “vulcan”, the first thing that comes to most of our minds is Volcano or something that is related to fire. But the story of this manhwa is all about fighters—I mean firefighters.

The MC of this manhwa is quite similar to the Superhuman Era in some ways. Just like Lim Kang, Vulcan, our MC, is also a superhuman with ultimate abilities.

7. Hero Co., LTD.

Hero Co. LTD.

Similarities Theme Plot Art Total

This manhwa from 2009 gives a little bit of resemblance to the Superhuman Era. In the distant past, when threats to Earth were on the horizon, there were individuals who used their superhuman abilities to protect the planet, to aid the helpless, to vanquish evil, and to advance the cause of justice. This is something similar to what Lim Kang of Superhuman Era has in goal.

The planet Earth has never had a problem sacrificing such creatures. These individuals were set aside from everyone else, and the helpless respected them by referring to them as heroes. On the other hand, the age evolved in some other way…

6. SideKicks

SideKicks

Similarities Theme Plot Art Total

The only difference between SideKicks and Superhuman Era is that Superhuman Era is a story about saving the world from the monsters by being a superhero with ultimate powers while this manhwa tells the journey of our main character on becoming a true hero. Well, simply, SideKicks and Superhuman are both epic superhero stories.

In this manhwa, simple rules were applied to their daily lives. Even though humans are characterized by its ability to use superpowers, in order for them to become superheroes themselves, they must first work as the sidekicks of other heroes.

Lamia, also known as Dream Girl, has the ability to cause others to fall asleep. Darkslug, who’s not nearly as heroic as his reputation would have you believe, has chosen her to be his sidekick. Following morning, Dream Girl as well as Theo will join forces to cleanse the world of evildoers as well as rescue it.

5. Mercenary Enrollment

Mercenary Enrollment

If you’re looking for some kind of drama but still kinda similar to the Superhuman Era, then this next manhwa is really something you should read. This also includes a student for an MC—an OP transfer student to be exact… caught your interest yet? Just like the Superhuman Era, this manhwa is also on-going at the moment in its 86th chapter.

The story of this manhwa begins with Yu Ijin. He grew up without his family knowing that he was the only one to survive an airplane disaster. After ten years of struggling to make a living as a mercenary, he eventually made his way back to his family and hometown. This somehow reminds us about some imbalanced social standards that were emphasized in the Superhuman Era.

4. Savior

Savior

These people, gliding along in complete silence on a lake… well, they are the souls of the departed traveling with the Grim Reaper. Soon after that, the Grim Reaper is killed, it is then discovered that the names of the dead were not really even on their death list?! Who do you think they are?

Other than they are both on-going manhwa, the arts and the actions  of this manhwa really is giving me some Superhuman Era vibes that we like! They are also both fantasies, only that the Superhuman Era gives highlights on superhumans while Saviour puts their spotlight on vampires and the undead!

3. unOrdinary

When we say manhwa like the Superhuman Era, unOrdinary is something we should never miss. In this manhwa, having powers and special abilities is part of the norms. Look how amazing life is having special powers. Similar to the Superhuman Era, the presence of a superhuman was also normalized to fight the monsters trying to take over the world.

The story of this manhwa revolves around John Doe, a teenager attending Wellston High School, a prominent school in which every student has various sorts of exceptional talents. John Doe is a student at the school. John endures everyday harassment and violence at the hands of his peers as a direct result of the fact that he is a cripple.

One time, he runs across the God-Tier, Seraphina, as well as Wellston’s Ace, who  assaults him just because of the school’s treasured chocolate cake; nevertheless, over time, they begin to have a connection and end up being friends. But, John is keeping a terrible secret from everyone else, and as a result, things start to go badly for him at Wellston very soon.

2. God of Blackfield

God of Blackfield

Similarities Theme Plot Art Total
17/20 9/10 9/10 10/10 45/50

Some of you might have heard about this anime. Kang Chan, our MC, also known as the “God of Blackfield,” that inspired terror in the hearts and minds of his opponents by leaving a trail of nothing but black soot as well as dead victims in his wake. However, one day as he was in the midst of the pandemonium of war, his life was suddenly cut short.

After being resurrected three years have passed, their so-called “god” is currently a cowardly teenager coping with serious issues, including vicious bullies, questionable business transactions, and even girlfriends. At first glance, exacting revenge seems like a simple task; but, high school has its own unique battleground! The settings on these chapters really remind me a lot about Lim Kang of the Superhuman Era.

1. Solo Leveling

Solo Leveling

Similarities Theme Plot Art Total

Superhuman Era, similar to Solo leveling, revolves around characters who aim to save the world against the annihilation plans of the monsters. Their MCs differ in a way that Sung Jingwoo of Solo Leveling starts off as a weak hunter while Lim Kang of Superhuman Era was introduced as a strong superhuman with great strength and agility.

The history of this manhwa begins in the phenomenon known as “the Gate” that first manifested itself ten years ago and established a connection between our world and the world of magic as well as monsters. Ordinary people were imbued with superhuman abilities and given the title of “Hunter” so that they can fight horrible creatures. You can now actually notice its similarities to the manhwa Superhuman Era.
