15. Rosario + Vampire

Also known as Rosario to Vampire, this series introduces us to the Youkai Academy. It seems like a pretty normal boarding school. However, the students residing there are no ordinary humans. They’re actually monsters who are learning to live with humans.

All the students have to stay in their human forms and study the usual subject that every normal student studies. The one rule that makes Youkai Academy horrifying is that there must be no humans found there. If they find any human in the academy grounds, he is to be killed on the spot. 

Enter Tsukune Aono. He’s an ordinary student who failed to get into any school because of his horrible grades. The only school left is Youkai Academy where Tsukune’s parents enroll him in. They’re unaware of the fact that this is a school for monsters.

Tsukune comes across a beautiful girl named Moka Akashiya inside the academy and falls in love with her. He decides to stay there in order to get close to her. Little does he know that Moka is not a human but actually a vampire!

 

14. Blood C

Blood C is extremely disturbing and definitely not for the faint of the heart. This anime introduces us to Saya Kisaragi who appears to be a normal high school student. But there’s something about her that nobody knows. As night falls, she goes out to slay monsters that have been terrorizing Japan. 

She equips a sword that was given to her by her father and slays every monster in sight. One day, she comes across a monster who tells her about a broken agreement. Now, she has no idea about what agreement that monster was talking about.

Suddenly, a strange dog appears before her and asks her about who is the one she had a promise with in order to protect the village. She’s really confused now. Everything around her starts shattering and that’s when things start to get even messier. There’s more to the havoc created in her village than it seems.

 

13. Blood Lad

This one is quite funny and interesting. Blood Lad tells us the story of Staz Charlie Blood who is an overpowered vampire. Now, it is believed that Staz is an absolutely ruthless and scary monster. However, in reality, he is obsessed with Japanese culture and is an otaku. Even as a vampire, he doesn’t crave human blood and has no interest in slaughtering them either.

Staz loves being lazy and doing everything an average otaku loves to do. One day, Fuyumi Yanagi, a school girl, accidentally comes into the world of Staz and he gets all excited to see her. He also starts falling for her.

Just when all of this is happening, they are attacked. This resulted in Fuyumi’s death and she became a ghost. Staz promises to her that he will resurrect her and even go to the human world for her. He had always wanted to go to the human world and his dream is finally coming true.

 

12. Vampire Knight

Vampire Knight introduces to us the Cross Academy where there are two kinds of classes; the Day Class and the Night Class. Enter Yuuki Cross and Zero Kiryuu who are a part of the disciplinary committee of the academy.

They’re supposed to be checking the discipling between the two classes when they’re switching out. It doesn’t seem like a tough task, right? However, the biggest concern is that the Day Class has no idea that the Night Class houses a bunch of Vampires.

We’re introduced to Kanam Kuran who is a vampire and the leader of the Night Class. He was the one who saved Yuuki from a vampire attack ten years ago and now Yuuki can get close to him again. Her feelings for him grow day by day.

On the other hand, Zero despises all the vampires and believes that vampires can never get along with humans. Everything at the academy changes because of a secret from Zero’s past.

 

11. Strike The Blood

Kojou Akatsuki is an ordinary high school student in the Demon District. He lives on Itogami Island. One day, a chance encounter turns his life upside down and he becomes a very powerful vampire. He gets all the attention when it is revealed that he’s truly a legend, the fourth primogenitor. 

Now, people are getting scared of him and considering him to be a threat. An organization named the Lion King Organization appoints a sword shaman named Yukina Himeragi whose job is to monitor Kojou’s activities.

She must kill him immediately if his activities become even a little suspicious. While they were supposed to be enemies, they ended up joining forces together because of certain circumstances. Now, both of them must protect the city from the evil forces that want to take it over.

Blood Blocakde Battlefront also known as Kekkai Sensen, introduces us to Hellsalem’s Lot. All types of creatures and supernatural monsters reside there. That’s because there was a gate that opened between Earth and another realm three years ago. A bubble was created where both humans and monsters have to live together. That bubble could not be broken no matter what. 

An organization by the name of Libra was created which was supposed to keep law and order in check so that chaos doesn’t spread between humans and monsters. We’re then introduced to Leonardo watch who is a young boy living with his parents and sister.

One day, he receives the “All seeing eyes of the gods” but the eyesight of his sister disappears. He decides to go inside Hellsalem’s Lot in order to find out the truth behind the mysterious power he obtained. 

He learns about Libra, the organization, and decides to join. However, he realized what he always believed was never true. The members of the organization are very strange and he has a tough time adjusting there. But he will still face all the obstacles and will unveil the secret behind his power. 

 

9. Dance in The Vampire Bund

Dance in the Vampire Bund introduces us to the ruler of all vampires, Mina Tepes, who declares that the Vampires are going to be living on the Earth and she’s going to create a sanctuary by the name of “Vampire Bund” in Japan. The Japanese government agrees with her decision as she also pays off the nation’s debt. However, there are many people who don’t believe Mina when she says that there would be peace between the vampires and the humans. 

Akira Kaburagi is a guy who does not believe in the existence of vampires. He gets uncomfortable whenever anyone talks about them. He had a head injury a year ago and lost all the memories of his past life. When he comes across Mina, something in him triggers and he remembers everything about his past life. He suddenly gets the urge that he must protect Mina.

Though, he doesn’t have any idea as to why he should be the one doing that task. Soon. It is revealed that Akira is actually a werewolf who is supposed to be protecting the Queen of all Vampires, Mina Tepes, even though he has to die in the process. This is what’s written in his fate and he must be by her side at all times.

 

8. Sirius The Jaeger

Sirius the Jaeger takes us to the past, in the year 1930. Vampires have taken over Tokyo and are devouring innocent humans. This resulted in the authorities hiring the Jaegers, a bunch of very strange individuals tasked with the duty of exterminating all the vampires around the world as ordered by the V Shipping Company. They must not reveal their identity to the world and carry musical instruments with them. 

They slay the vampires mercilessly whenever they come across them. Yuliy is the leader of the Jaegers and the most powerful fighter. He was the only survivor from his village when a bunch of vampires attacked them.

He does not have ordinary blood. He actually has werewolf blood that grants him immense power. Along with other Jaegers, Yuliy is helping the police combat the vampires. However, they also have another goal in mind. They must retrieve the Ark of Sirius in order to change the condition of the world. They must not let it get into the hands of vampires who want nothing but the destruction of the world. 

 

7. The Case Study of Vanitas

The Case Study of Vanitas is a relatively new one. It introduces us to Vanitas, a vampire who was born under the “Blue Moon”. Because of that, he was not liked by his race. He grew up very lonely and scared of his own kind.

It was believed by the other vampires that he created the “Book of Vanitas” that he would use sooner or later for the destruction of the vampires born under the “Crimson Moon”.

Enter Noe Archiviste, a traveler looking for the Book of Vanitas. As he arrives in Paris, he’s attacked by vampires and is saved by a self-proclaimed vampire, Vanitas. He then notices that Vanitas is carrying the book he was looking for.

This Vanitas is not the original one but has inherited the name and the book from his master. That’s how Noe becomes involved with Vanitas and that’s when their misadventures began. 

 

6. Bakemonogatari

This one is quite bizarre, to be honest. We’re introduced to Kiyomi Araragi who was once under attack by a vampire. However, he was saved by a strange man named Meme Oshino,

Even though he has turned back into a human, Kiyomi Araragi is still suffering from the side effects. Anyway, Araragi tries his best to live a normal life along with his friend, Tsubasa Hanekawa.

One day, Araragi saves a falling girl named Hitagi Senjougahara and finds it very strange that she has no weight at all. It is revealed that the demons and gods are behind it. With the help of Meme Oshino who has a lot of knowledge about the supernatural, Araragi decides to help Hitagi Senjougahara.

 

5. Noblesse

The Noblesse anime was adapted from a manhwa and it’s so sad that the anime ended so soon. It introduces us to Cadis Etrama di Raizel who is a vampire. He wakes up from his long slumber on Earth and decides to enroll in Ye Ran High School that is run by his loyal servant, Frankenstein. Frankenstein wants to keep Rai hidden from an organization who are after his blood.

Enter M-21, a member of the organization who decided to betray it and takes up the job of the same school’s security guard. There are also a bunch of other vampires like Rai that enroll in the same school and that’s how things become complicated. 

 

4. Seraph of the End

Seraph of the End introduces us to a world where a mysterious virus has emerged and it kills everybody who is above the age of 13. Seeing this as a golden opportunity, Vampires decide to take over the world and offer protection only if the humans give them some of their blood but the humans actually end up as livestock.

We’re introduced to Yuuichiro and Mikaela who are orphans and are taken captive by the vampires.

They hate the fact that they’re being used by the vampires. Mikaela plans to escape but the plan fails and the only survivor is Yuuichiro who goes to the Moon Demon Company on the outside world. The company’s sole purpose is to destroy the vampires. 

Many years have passed and Yuuichiro is now a part of the Moon Demon Company. He’s adamant on taking revenge from the vampires who killed his family. 

 

3. Hellsing

We’re introduced to an organization named Hellsing that exterminates all kinds of monsters threatening humanity. The authorities need their help because in the village of Cheddar, vampires have wreaked havoc and are turning humans into ghouls.

The leader of the Hellsing, Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing sends in Alucard, her most skilled asset. Alucard is actually a vampire and only uses a gun for the killing. He easily exterminates all the vampires disrupting the peace of the Cheddar Village.

During the extermination, Alucard comes across a police officer named Seras Victoria who is critically injured. Alucard gives her the choice between living as a vampire or dying as a human. She chooses the former and becomes a part of the Hellsing Organization. Here begins the journey of a newly inducted vampire in the centuries old organization.

 

2. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures is a series of adventures among the people of the Joestar lineage. Each adventure/anime season goes through separate protagonists from the Joestar family. The struggle against their sworn enemy, who is also a vampire named Dio Brando, starts with Jonathan Joestar. Dio Brando was also the adopted brother of Jonathan Joestar.

Although he was not originally a vampire, he became one after accidentally wearing the centuries old stone mask. He may not have been originally a vampire but he did have a twisted personality. That’s when all the bizarre adventures of the Joestar family began.

The story begins with his involvement in a city besieged by monsters under the command of Dracula, a being all of us may know as the original father of all vampires. And so begins the tale of Trevor Belmont’s hunt to slay the infamous Count Dracula.
