My Hero Academia Filler Episodes

Episode 39 (Game Start)

episode 39

This episode takes us to the League of Villains’ hideout where they watch All Might on TV. He realizes why he is annoyed by Midoriya and All Might so much. He plans to show the world how weak their system is and how he can run the world without All Might.

Midoriya is seen training in his room when Kaminari and Mineta interrupt him and invite him to train at the pool. At the school, Shota Aizawa and Vlad King are looking at the performance of the students of their respective classes. Just then, Midoriya, Kaminari, and Mineta arrive there to ask Shota Aizawa to grant them permission to train at the pool. Shota tells them that they can train at the pool.

The reason why Mineta and Kaminari wanted to go to the pool was that they heard the girls of their class that they’d be going to the pool as well. Midoriya, on the other hand, invites all the boys to train with them. The girls appear wearing the swimsuits that the school had provided them and Kaminari looks visibly disappointed.

episode 39

All the girls start playing volleyball while the boys are just relaxing and taking a break from the hard training. As soon as Bakugo arrives there, he challenges Midoriya to a duel but he refuses. Tenya decides to hold a competition in order to determine who can swim the fastest in a fifty-meter pool. All the boys are allowed to use their quirks and Midoriya ends up winning, leaving behind even the swift Tenya Iida.

The scene changes and we see All Might meeting Detective Tsukachi to discuss with him about the League of Villains. On the other hand, our top three contestants from the competition, Midoriya, Bakugo and Shoto, are ready to swim. However, Shota Aizawa arrives there and sends everybody home. Bakugo and Kirishima and walking home together while Bakugo expresses his anger at Shota as he stopped the competition before he could beat both Midoriya and Shoto.

At night, Shota and Vlad King decide to change the location of the students’ training in order to ensure their protection because the League of Villains had been on the loose.

Episode 58 (Special Episode: Save The World With Love)

episode 58

This episode is basically the prologue for My Hero Academia: Two Heroes Movie. It shows us Cementoss and Midnight watching a special show about All Might and his training in America. All Might is there as well and starts thinking about his days in America. He smiles when his friend David Shield is mentioned.

Shota Aizawa had been taking special classes with a group of a few students at a time. The class he’s taking currently includes Midoriya, Bakugo, Uraraka, Shoto, Tenya and Tsuyu. This class is a little tough because they’re tasked with taking down a fake villain. There is going to be a scene of crime where the group is going to investigate. The instructors for this mission include, All Might, Midnight, Cementoss, and Present Mic.

Our group meets Shota and he tells them the situation that a jewelry shop was attacked by a number of villains and they’ve also held some people hostage at the shop. The police are unaware of the number of villains as well as the hostages. Tenya tries to ask Shota about something but he refuses to answer him. He tells the students to use their brains and resolve the situation as heroes.

episode 58

Their mission begins and Uraraka is instructed by Bakugo to look through the window of the shop and determine the number of villains. All Might is playing the role of the villain and Shoto tries to distract him. Uraraka finds out that there are three hostages that are being held by Cementoss, Midnight, and Present Mic. Bakugo instructs the group to save the hostages while he will attack the villain.

As they enter the shop, they’re shocked to see that the villain had been killed. They come across a knife covered in blood which apparantly is a murder weapon. The group thinks that one of the hostages might have killed the villain.

Now, the group is asking the hostages about the situation and Present Mic reveals that he was buying the jewelry while the villain attacked. Cementoss was working at the shop and Midnight entered the shop just when the villain was attacking. Midoriya and Uraraka check both Present Mic’s and Midnight’s wallets in order to confirm if they even had enough money to buy some jewelry. As Tenya goes through the whole shop, he comes to the conclusion that it is indeed one of the hostages who killed him.

At the end, it was revealed that Midnight was the one who called the police and the villain killed himself in order to hide his relationship with Midnight.

The group thought that the case was solved as Shota entered the shop. However, he gives the students zero marks as the dead body of the villain had vanished because he didn’t really kill himself. Todoroki tells the group that they made a grave mistake not tying up the villain’s body and thinking that he was dead the whole time. The group is greatly disappointed because they failed the mission.

After getting done with the training, All Might receives an email from Melissa Shield, David Shield’s daughter, that he should go to I-Island in order to meet her father. As All Might is heading towards his home, he finds Midoriya and asks him to go with him to I-Island

Episode 64 (The Scoop on U.A. Class 1-A)

episode 64

This episode opens with a newspaper office named Juko News telling a story about the retirement of All Might. However, the Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper office wants something bigger and better. He gets some help from a journalist named Taneo Tokuda to make the story look better

He realizes that the message All Might gave after his fight with One For All was for a student and not for any other villains. He believes that he’s telling that specific student to be ready to become his next successor.

The Editor-in-chief asks Taneo if he knows who that student is. Taneo tells him that at first he thought  that it would be Mirio Togota but it’s actually someone from class 1-A.

Taneo goes to interview class 1-A. He explains to the students that he will be taking their photos while they are spending their days normally and will ask them questions randomly. As he carefully observes class 1-A, he comes to the conclusion that it is Midoriya who will be All Might’s successor.

episode 64

Later, All Might arrives at the dorm, treating everybody with meat buns. He then finds Midoriya outside, training by himself. He tells Midoriya that he was at the hospital for his regular checkup and on his way back, he got the meat buns from the shopkeeper as a gift. All Might talks to Midoriya about becoming the next symbol of peace for a bit and then leaves.

Taneo then approaches Midoriya after All Might leaves him and tells him how All Might saves his father from the bombing 18 years ago. He was so happy that he took a picture of All Might and it’s All Might that inspired him to become a photographer and also write stories about heroes. Taneo then reveals to him that he knows about Midoriya being the successor of All Might and this perplexes Midoriya.

Taneo decides that he won’t be publishing the story about Midoriya being All Might’s successor as he was there only to make sure that there was some hope for the future. He then took a selfie with Midoriya and promised him that he will not publish it until he writes his own book about Midoriya.

Taneo tells the Editor-in-chief of Juko News that he wasn’t able to find out the successor of All Might but he has a better story to tell. It was about All Might eating Meat Buns. This idea was loved by the Editor-in-Chief.

Episode 104 (Long Time no See, Selkie)

104

This episode is a prologue to My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission Movie. We see Uraraka showing her upgraded costume to Ryukyu and her fellow internship members. Nejire asks Uraraka about why she decided to upgrade her costume. Uraraka remembers what happened back then when she tried to calm down Midoriya when his powers got out of control. She then blushed and brushed off the question

The next day, the girls from Ryukyu’s group were discussing a about fire incident in the forest of Kaflin. The fire was due to an explosion at an illegal drug factory and the girls believed that the factory was deliberately destroyed in order to vanish the evidence.

uraraka

Meanwhile, a group of rogues is hiding inside a cafe and waiting for the sunset to make their move. Uraraka and Tsuyu are with Selkie who are monitoring above water while Ryuku and Nejire are flying and monitoring from above. The rogues are on the move under water but are located by Selkie’s team. However a plane had been secretly sent which is carrying the triggers. Our heroes try to stop the plane but it’s just too fast. Uraraka is able to board the plane and defeats the pilot. But she has trouble controlling the plane. However, with Ryukyu and Nejire’s help, Uraraka is able to control the plane and it lands safely on the ground

The rogues, on the other hand, were just ordinary couriers who had no idea about the drugs. The scene shifts to a mysterious man who gets to know about the plane being captured by the heroes but he seemed to be quite chill about it as he had enough of the “Trigger” needed to carry out his mission.
