I guess y’all have read the title of this blog. Of course you have! Sooooooo, if you’re looking for anime regarding knights, then you have come to the right site.

Some of y’all might be wondering, what’s so great about knight anime? Well! The answer to this question is KNIGHTS!! Big, strong men wearing huge iron armors and using swords to fight is just sooo awesome, lol!

Just kidding! The most important aspect of any anime is the plot and the animation. The same is the case with this genre. I’ll be ranking the anime keeping in mind all of these points.

The next anime to feature on this list is Gudam Build Fighters. Ahhh! Another anime about giant robots. This is what y’all are probably thinking, right?

What makes this anime different is the fact that you can watch anime inside. Just kidding lol! Well! The main plot revolves around a competition named Annual Gunpla World Tournament. Gunpla are robots that users build.

The MC of this show, Sei Iori, is also a gunpla fighter. He wants to become a champion like his father. Even though he is quite talented in building gunpla, his fighting skills are not that great. Now, this marks the entry of our second protagonist, Reiji, who is an extraordinary gunpla fighter.

This marks the beginning of Reiji and Sei’s journey.

24. Tears to Tiara

Tears to Tiara is the first anime to feature on this list.

Talking about the plot, this anime features the story of a knight named Arthur and his sister, Riannon. I’ll tell you a bit about world-building. The homeland of our MC was attacked by the Holy Empire, and his sister was kidnapped to be used as a sacrifice.

Now, this is where the fun begins. Arthur managed to save his sister with the help of a handsome silver-haired man. To tell you the truth, I won’t trust a silver-haired man who suddenly appeared in front of me, lol!

And guess what? This silver-haired man is the demon lord everyone is afraid of. Arthur and Riannon were unaware of this fact. The demon lord decided to help them in saving their village and defeat the Holy Empire. Why? There are a lot of mysteries. And I definitely don’t want to spoil this anime for y’all.

I am awestruck by the theme used in it. It can really be dark at times and become incredibly

lighthearted at others.

23. The Familiar of Zero

The Familiar of Zero is the next anime to feature on this list. Are you a fan of OP Isekai MCs? I mean who isn’t? Everyone loves OP MCs.

Like other Isekai protagonists, the MC of this show was teleported to another world by a witch. He was supposed to be the HERO and fight evil. At first they thought that he was far too weak. But man they were wrong!!

Our MC has the unique ability to use any weapon to its full potential making him the most OP character in his verse. Interesting, right?

22. Tales of Vesperia

I believe that it was really difficult to chase your dreams in the past. The same is the case with Flynn. Becoming a knight and helping people is the dream of our MC.

Alongside his friend, Yuri, he was going in the right direction. Now, this is where the fun begins. Yuri, despite being a knight, started to tilt towards the evil side. It became really difficult to distinguish good and bad.

What is Flynn supposed to do in this situation?

21. Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash

If we’re talking about knight anime, then this one is a must-watch.

Grimgar features the tale of a group of friends who got stuck inside a game-like setting. No! This isn’t your typical isekai. It is much darker. The people who were teleported into this world, Grimgar, were forced to work as soldiers.

The protagonists of this show, Manato, Haruhiro, Yume, Shihoru, Mogzo, and Ranta, were deemed pretty weak and left behind. Now, they had to make a party of their own. All of them excelled at different attributes.

Well! Despite the game-like setting of this world, it was unlike one. Death means DEATH in this world. You have just 1 life. Can these teenagers survive in such a cruel world?

The darker theme of this anime is what makes it a masterpiece.

20. Break Blade

Another interesting addition to this list is Break Blade.

I have noticed one thing. Most knight anime are about giant robots we call gunmen. The same is the case with this anime. I’ll tell you a bit about world building. The world in which our MC, Rygart Arrow, lives is full of giants called Golems. Humans fight these golems using quartz as an energy source.

Now, this is where the fun begins. Rygart is not like other humans. I mean, he doesn’t have the ability to use quartz, so he is kinda weak. Like other protagonists, he starts off as weak and later becomes strong.

19. The Irregular at Magic High School

Is this an Isekai? Well! The title seems like one, but it is not!!

The MC of this show is Tatsuya Shiba. Tatsuya and his sister Miyuki live in a world dominated by magic. However, not everyone can use magic. There are special schools for people to learn magic.

Tatsuya and Miyuki got enrolled into one of these schools. The surprising fact here is that despite being a government representative and one of the best magicians, Tatsuya was judged below average. I mean, how is this possible? On the other hand, Miyuki was enrolled in the elite class. Interesting, right?

The animation of this anime is pretty dope as well. You will definitely enjoy it.

18. The Vision of Escaflowne

Hmmmm!! The basic plot of this anime is kinda long. So, I’ll just explain the basics.

This anime follows the story of a girl named Hitomi Kanzaki, a prince named Van Fanel, and a mysterious knight, Allen Schezar. Their main goal is to defeat the kingdom of Zaibach and get Van’s homeland back.

That’s it! That’s the plot. One more thing, Hitomi doesn’t really belong to Van’s world. She was teleported there after a strange event. I won’t spoil the story any further. I’ll just tell you that you will not regret watching this anime.

17. Granblue Fantasy

No, no, no! I am not talking about Grand Blue here. Read the title carefully, lol!

If you are a fan of game adaptations, then this anime is for you. Gran is the MC of this splendid anime. Gran also has a pet lizard named Vyrn. Both of them were adventurers. One day, they met a girl named Lyria who had run away from her country.

This marks the beginning of their adventure. What is the purpose of their adventure? Well! Gran is looking for his father who had left him a letter saying, “I’ll be waiting for you at Estalucia”

This gives me Gon vibes lol!

The most intriguing aspect of this anime is the vast world-building and the never-ending adventure.

P.S: I also want a pet lizard. Is that too much to ask?

16. Claymore

In case you still haven’t found an anime to watch, here is another one for ya.

I am sure you guys are familiar with vampires, right? The enemies of this show, Youma, are kinda similar. The only difference here is that Youma has the ability to shape-shift. Pretty handy, ig.

Getting back to the main topic, Raki’s, a teenage boy, village was attacked by a Youma. There was no chance of survival. However, a girl named Clare saved him and killed Youma. Clare was indeed a Claymore.

Even though Raki’s village was saved, he was exiled for unknown reasons. He decided to follow Clare on her voyage. In case you don’t know, Claymore’s are not born, they are made. Anyone can become a claymore. Why did Clare decide to become a claymore? Well! I won’t spoil this.

The world-building of this anime is splendid.

15. Million Arthur

Most of us think of the Knight sub genre as rather dark and depressing. However, this anime thoroughly rejects this outlook.

EXCALIBUR!! The legendary sword that grants the user immense power and the capability to conquer the world. But, there is one rule. There must be only one Excalibur. What if there are multiple Excaliburs? That would just shatter the power scaling of the world, right?

A mysterious event resulted in the awakening of multiple Excaliburs that destroyed the fabric of reality. The MCs, Danchou, Renkin, Kakka, Yameneko, Tekken, and Rorou, were sent to the past to destroy all of these legendary swords. Needless to say, all six of them are also Excalibur users, lol!

14. Lance N’ Masques

The next anime to feature on this list is Lance N’ Masques. Another anime with a weird title. Why can’t the authors think of easier titles? Like, how are you even supposed to pronounce it?

Suffering from a deadly disorder, White Knight Syndrome, Youtarou Hanafusa is a member of the Knights of the World. Despite his illness, he wants to help people, especially women.

One day, he helps a girl named Makio Kidouin. She was living alone, so our Hero decided to live with her in order to take care of her. Ohhh! I forgot to tell you the secret name of our MC. He was known as the “Knight Lancer”. I won’t spoil the further story. Y’all gotta watch the anime!

13. Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar

Another weird title! I’m sick with these titles. Why can’t they use some simple ones?

As you can already see from the title, it is an isekai. Ohh sorry! I used the English title, lol!

This anime features the plot of Masaki Kenshi. Masaki was teleported to the world of Geminar by a mysterious organization. They wanted to use him to kill the princess. They even threatened him.

Well! He failed the mission and was saved by Lashara. Who is Lashara? I won’t tell ya!!

What’s next? I won’t spoil the further story. You gotta watch the anime.

12. The Heroic Legend of Arslan

Getting betrayed by your own people is definitely what a king wouldn’t want.

The ruler of the Kingdom of Pars was betrayed by his own general, and that too during a battle with the neighboring country. His son, Arslan, had to leave the country as he would have been executed. Arslan was enraged! He had only one thing on his mind and that was REVENGE!

However, it won’t be that easy. He needs to gather some trustworthy allies. Even though his father was betrayed by his most loyal general, Arslan still believes that he can find some loyal friends in this cruel world.

This marks the beginning of his adventure as he seeks revenge and tries to reclaim his country.

I personally think this anime is pretty underrated. The concept of war and betrayal is pretty

fascinating.

11. Overlord

If you’re a fan of the Isekai genre, then you must’ve heard about Overlord. It is one of the most popular anime out there.

I have a question for y’all. If you got stuck inside your favourite game, how would you feel? Pretty happy I’m sure.

The same happened with our MC, Momonga. His favourite game was supposed to shut down, so he decided to play it for the last time. However, soon he realised that the time for shutting down has passed and he is still inside the game. Even the NPCs have personalities of their own, lol!

This marked the beginning of his journey!!

10. Akatsuki no Yona

Not all knight anime are dark and depressing. Akatsuki no Yona is another knight anime that primarily features romance.

The plot of this anime resembles a bit with the Heroic Legend of Arslan. Still, there are some differences. The MC is a princess. Princesses usually stay inside the castle and know nothing of the things that happen outside. The same is the case with Yona.

Yona came to know of all the troubles of the real world when her family lost power. Now, the main question here is, Is Yona a knight? Lol no! A guy named _______ is the knight who protects her. Nah, I won’t spoil everything.

09. Berserk

In case you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t heard about BERSERK, then I suggest that you stop reading this blog right away. I am not writing it for you, LOSER!!!!

Berserk is one of the most popular anime out there. It has millions of fans all around the world.

Have y’all heard about the Black Swordsman? Yess! I am talking about Guts. If you think that your life is difficult, I’ll tell you a bit about Guts’ life.

He was born from the womb of a dead mother. He was destined to be chased by demons. What’s more? He was betrayed by the man he considered a friend and looked up to. Still, he doesn’t want to give up. He thinks that he can defeat fate.

Personally, I would suggest that you read the manga of Berserk. It is 100 times better.

08. Ulysses: Jeanne D’Arc

Ngl the title of this one is kinda weird.

The story of this anime is set in the 15th century. Ahhhh! I know y’all love medieval age anime.

Montmorency is a French noble who studies in the royal knight training school. He is a student of Alchemy. Following France’s crushing defeat by the hands of the English army, the school was closed and Montmorency was wanted.

As he was trying to hide from the English army, he encounters a girl named Jeanne. This marks the beginning of Montmorency and Jeanne.

07. Fate/Stay Night

We have already featured a game adaptation on this list. Here is another one.

Animated by the infamous Studio Deen, Fate/Stay Night has arguably one of the best animations. Besides the fantastic animation, the plot of this anime is pretty awesome as well.

Shirou is the MC of it. Shirou’s entire family was killed in a mysterious event. After that, he was adopted by Kiritsugu Emiya. Emiya quickly became Shirou’s hero.

As we all know, good things don’t last forever. Emiya also died. Shirou somehow survived this trauma. However, one day, he got caught in an encounter between two servants. Servants? Well! Servants are powerful beings summoned by humans. As he was about to die, he accidentally summoned his own servant named Saber.

The story gets a bit darker after this, not that it was wholesome before duh! But, I don’t want to spoil everything.

06. Chivalry of the Failed Knight

Another wholesome addition to this list is the Chivalry of the Failed Knight. Romance is usually not a prominent element when we are talking about knight anime, however, you can see some decent romance in this one.

We all are familiar with MCs who are considered pretty weak in the beginning (take Asta from Black Clover as an example). The MC of this show, Ikki Kurogane, is another one of those SO-CALLED WEAK protagonists. He is attending a mage knight school, but his magic power is below par.

And what’s worse is that he got indulged in a duel with the strongest student, Stella. Like any other weak MC, Ikki is dynamic and hard working. He is always trying to improve himself. Romance makes this anime even better.

05. Garo the Animation

No! This anime is not about Garou from One Punch Man. It is about ummm…..another Garo. Though the MCs name is not Garo.

The anime is set in an era where witches were pretty common. The kingdom of Valiente initiated a mission to get rid of them. However, it did not go as planned and many of their knights were killed. The head knight, Mendosa, took advantage of this opportunity and gained control of the kingdom by exiling the prince.

This is where the REAL story begins. The prince, Alfonso, is now searching for a golden armor that is said to hold immense power. With this armor, he can get rid of Mendosa. Will he be able to get a hold of the armor?

04. Seven Deadly Sins

How can you not include this anime on this list? I mean it would be a huge SIN!!

Seven Deadly Sins is one of the most popular anime out there. The plot revolves around a group named the Seven Deadly Sins. This group was once a part of the famous Holy Knights of the kingdom of Britannia. However, they betrayed the kingdom and were exiled from it.

Now, this is where the real story begins. The rulers of this kingdom were overthrown by the Holy Knights. The third princess, Elizabeth, began searching for the seven deadly sins to help her regain the kingdom.

Pretty bland, right?

I have just told ya about the Holy Knights, there are other species as well, like Demons, Angels, Giants, and ofc Elves. I would rather not talk about the animation, lol! The first two seasons were OK. But, the third season was heavily butchered. It had one of the worst animations ever.

Just consider it a precaution.

03. Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion

Well! This anime isn’t technically about knights, It is about Gunmen AKA Giant robots. Still!!! I’d like to add it to this list cuz it is just soooo awesome.

Lelouch is the MC of this show. And if you haven’t heard about him, then I suggest you watch some more anime, you NEWBIE!!!! Lelouch is a prince of the kingdom of Britannia. They took over Japan, and Lelouch was sent there to live with his sister. No! Not as a prince, but as a normal citizen.

He was banished. Now, Lelouch wants revenge. He gains a mysterious power called Geass. And I guess this is where I should stop!

Tanya the Evil follows the plot of a 10-year-old girl named Tanya Degurechaff AKA “Devil of the Rhine”. Why? What did she do to earn this title?

Well! She might seem like a little girl. However, inside her is the soul of a man who once challenged the Being X. But, as you can guess, he lost and was reincarnated into another world. I don’t want to spoil ya any further. Let’s just stop it here.

Ahhhhhh! You just can’t make a list of knight anime without this anime. I mean, it is a literal masterpiece. The story, the characters, the plot twist, and ofc the animation, everything is just perfect.

I want y’all to enjoy this anime, so I won’t spoil much. Its plot features Simon and Kamina. Humans used to live underground in the fear of beastmen. These beastmen had gunmen they used to hunt humans. However, everything changed when Simon managed to acquire a gunman.
