Major Characters
Hinata Shoyo

Hinata Shoyo is one of the main characters of the series. He’s shown to be very energetic, cheerful and friendly. He can be quite loud and annoying sometimes. Hinata is shown to be a bit naive and can be manipulated easily. However, he’s shown to be very kind and empathetic towards others. He’s hands down one of the most determined and strong-willed anime characters I’ve ever come across. Even though he’s playing around most of the time, we’ve seen him getting all serious and pumped up when it comes to playing volleyball. Hinata used to have a short temper before and never admitted his mistakes. But he became quite humble as the series progressed. Hinata is truly a sweetheart!
Tobio Kageyama

Tobio Kageyama is quiet, serious and arrogant. He knows his skills and takes great pride in them. He also has a short-temper and tends to lash out on his teammates when they’re not playing well. He’s crazy about winning and is a pure perfectionist. He was nicknamed the “King of the Court” because of the exceptional volleyball skills that he showed and how he always wants to rule during a game that’s supposed to be for a team. He appears to be very mature and serious but in reality, he’s very childish. He’s also very sensitive and can’t control his emotions. Kageyama loves playing volleyball and is very passionate about the sport. He never turns down any opportunity to train and works to improve himself every single day. Even though it doesn’t seem like that, Kageyama cares for his fellow players and is also always there for them.
Daichi Sawamura

Daichi Sawamura is the captain of the Karasuno High Volleyball Team. He’s shown to be a very friendly yet level-headed individual. He keeps the whole team together. He rarely gets angry but when he gets angry, he becomes very scary. He’s also shown to be strict with his teammates. He cares for his team a lot and is very understanding. He’s also very reliable and his team can always count on him. He always pushes his team to do their best. Though he acts mature and dependable all the time, he’s seen to be pretty childish at times.
Koshi Sugawara

Koshi Sugawara is the vice-captain of the Karasuno Volleyball Team. He’s shown to be extremely gentle, kind and calm. He’s one of the biggest support of Karasuno High team. He’s quite dedicate to play volleyball. Even though he’s not a regular setter for the team anymore, we can see him still sticking to the team. Sugawara is shown to be very mature and intelligent. E analyzes the situation quickly and comes up with the best possible way to combat it. His tactics prove extremely useful for the team. He’s very humble about his skills even though he’s really good at playing volleyball. Despite his maturity, his seen to be quite mischievous sometimes.
Kei Tsukishima

Kei Tsukishima is the middle blocker for Karasuno High. He’s very bold and is seen to be quite rude with his teammates most of the time. He takes great pride in his skills. Even though he mostly mocks his teammates, he’s seen to be a little intimidated by the senior players. Tsukishima appears to be very cocky about his volleyball playing skills but in reality, he’s very insecure. He doesn’t consider himself a good player and thinks of himself as inferior to everybody else.
Even though he appears to be playing volleyball just because he has to, he actually enjoys playing it but never admits. Tsukishima is rarely seen to be agitated and mostly keeps his cool. He’s also not a very passionate volleyball player. However, Kei Tsukishima is a hard working guy who wants to get better at playing volleyball.
