Everyone has their own personal character preferences. There are people who really like loner characters, while some like overly cool characters. But, we all know that there are really people who really love to see both. Just like me, I personally like those lowkey yet overpowered characters.

There are different levels of coolness and being a loner. There are mistakenly-loner quiet characters while there are some who are cool because they are an overpowered MC anyway. With these highly diverse characteristics of a combination of different lloner and cool altogether in one main character.

Okay, guys! Without further ado.For this list, I am going to present manhwa & manhua where the MC is both loner and cool.

 

MANHWA & MANHUA WHERE THE MC IS A LONER BUT ALSO IS SUPER COOL (RECOMMENDATIONS)

 

17. Weirdo (Manhua)

This next manhua is note something that has a loner yet cool MC, I would rather just define him as more-likely sad and overpowered.

Zhang Chulan, who was the Zhang Xilin’s grandson, hid his mystical powers for his years of existence as he patiently lived the life of an ordinary human. In the icy castle, there is a blind concubine, our MC. I personally dislike concubine culture but this manhua really is a popular hit.

There’s this snow-white cat that belongs to the concubine who is blind. He does nothing except sit on the patio of the icy mansion, where he has lived his whole life, everyday, every year. It is almost as though everyone working in the royal palace has already forgotten about him. It wasn’t until one day that the future emperor happened to stumble into him by chance.

You can clearly see how Writer J is being a loner and cool at the same time. Well, I find writers super cool, especially Writer J.

Big See could seem straightforward at first glance, but underneath its unassuming exterior lies an interesting story of a guy who is diagnosed with cancer. The reader is privy to the adventure that takes place inside his consciousness while he fights cancer, as well as the emotional war that his loved ones are engaged in as a result of his illness. This manhwa is really something that can make you the loner instead, well, fighting cancer really gives you the definition of being good.

Big See has become accessible to those in the English-speaking community after having a successful debut in Japan. What do you think it is like to go through the motions of everyday life knowing that your time here on earth is drawing to a close?

The players in this reality TV program, which is called “Money Game,” compete against one another to see who can spend the least amount of money while still coming out on top. There are 8 rooms, and everyone was assigned to their respective rooms, only the lone and coolest of them all is our MC, the person in room number 8.

They are stranded in a TV set that was carefully created, and the only things they have access to are a set of clothing and a rule book.  The cost of everything else they buy is one thousand times the initial cost. How much of their own money will each participant keep?

 

12. Rendezvous (Manhwa)

When we say loner yet cool, what comes first to our minds is a geek. Well, this is somehow about our MC, cool geeky Usoo, together with his greatest rival Tuji. But things get worse when they’re subjected to some quantum experiment. 

When a geek has to swap bodies and sides with the strongest man in school, nature and nurture are put to the test. Usoo and Tuji have switched places…with each other’s bodies! After volunteering to participate in an experiment that a crazed scientist was doing with her most recent creation, a quantum teleporter, both of their bodies were exchanged, but their brains and souls remained the same.

After being a perfect student in the past, Usoo needs to cope with life with Tuji, a troubled teenager who is really having a hard time living.

Despite the fact that he has never had an adversary in his lifetime, he must now contend with the few people on Tuji’s list; nevertheless, will his more kind and approachable manner to warn his competitors? Keep along with the man in the hat as he goes on his adventures. Where exactly does he end up? Well, at first, you might find him a bit lonely, but trust me, this character is really one of the coolest you’ll ever meet.

He doesn’t have a good grasp on who he is, but the many locations he visits allow him to interact with a wide variety of individuals, all of whom are on their own individual quests for joy, love, or even just themselves. A collection of introspective short tales, one each was drawn by a young girl in a remarkable manner and packed with vivid colors.

 

9. Revenge Is Best Served Cold (Manhua)

I know you might find the title of this manhua very poetic. But to give you some background, this manhua centered around Xiao Yue exacting her vengeance on her buddy.

Xiao Yue, our MC, who had just relocated back to her place, happened to observe her friends and buddies, Xiao Nai, fall from the building. You’ve read it right guys, even loners can make friends too, if you can just ignore the idea that she fell from the building. Xiao Nai had been planning to do it for a while. 

When she finds out the reasons why Xiao Nai took her own life, she makes the decision to get retribution for her buddy. Because she has so little time, she gathers as much information as she can on her targets. This really is the tale about Xiao Yue that single-handedly vanquishes all of her friend’s adversaries, one at a time.

 

8. Windbreaker (Manhwa)

This might seem very psychological and dramatic, but trust me, this MC really is someone that you’re looking for! Well, his brother died, so being loner is still reasonable tho.

 

6. Twin Detectives (Manhua)

It’s unexplainable how his younger brother, Xiaotu, was always able to see his soul. If you’re a character in this manhua, you’ll also find Xiaotu a bit weird and lonely, but as you look in a wider perspective, you’ll see how creatively cool Xiaotu is with the help of his twin. 

Following on, the two of them established a business that would focus on resolving issues with otherworldly occurrences. The events that lead up to the beginning of the manhua include a young woman in high school.

 

5. An Eye for An Eye (Manhwa)

This quote usually comes with the line “a tooth for a tooth” which means that any crime you committed will cost you the same amount of misfortune. You kill someone, you should also be equally killed. I know this sounds so vengefully good, but the thing is… our laws nowadays aren’t written that way, unless you’re Yongju.

 A tale filled with anger, hatred, and vengeance… Yongju, our MC, is  indifferent to the suffering of a fellow student who was being tormented by punks, and would eventually find himself the object of the same treatment.

When Yongju plans to get even with the bullies backfires horribly, his brother named Yong Jin makes a solemn vow to get revenge, which leads him down a road that is both careful and unnatural, but ultimately leads to brutal and vengeful punishment.

 

4. The Saviour’s Time (Manhwa)

After their youngest sister in the Yu family chooses to kill herself, her older brother starts looking into the circumstances behind her untimely passing. I don’t know about it, but I think this is a blessing for us. His sister died and we are able to experience his coolest sides.

The only piece of evidence that has been found so far is a record and log of her words that she posted on Savior, which is a mystery online forum for people who feel like they need to be saved from reality.

 

3. Trace (Manhwa)

Sa Ghang Gwon, our MC, grew up being abandoned by his family. Well, at the same time he discovers his special ability to control ice. Similar to Elsa from Frozen, Ghang Gwon is also a cool outcast.

But Chun-Woo isn’t going to take Shi-Woon beneath his wing so simply. Shi-Woon doesn’t even have a clue about how Chun-Woo got his fighting skills in the first place!

Kang Haneul, our social outcast yet cool MC, is a man who was formerly shunned by society, makes the decision to seek vengeance after seeing a terrible thing happen to a friend of his. He also discovers that he has a talent that he was previously unaware of.
