We can all agree that it’s something super exciting and super satisfying when a character that looks like a nobody turns out overpowered and leaves everyone with their mouth wide open.

Personally, it’s my favorite kind of Manhwa and I can’t get enough of them. So I was thinking of sharing my passion with you guys.

So here is a list of Manhwas where the MC is OP and surprises everyone.

 Cha Yeon-woo lost his twin brother, Cha Jeon-woo, five years ago. Technically, he’s gone missing but after all this time, there isn’t much hope for him anymore.

One day, he finds a pocket watch on his porch. Inside the pocket watch, he finds a diary, a diary written by his brother. He tells him of a mysterious tower. When you enter the tower, you turn into an adventurer with stats and skills.

Inside the tower resides horrible monsters and you will have to face many challenging trails, of course, all those efforts won’t be in vain since if you manage to reach the top, the tower will grant you ANY one wish. Even the destruction of the Earth is okay.

In the diary, he also talked about the trials he cleared, how he leveled up, the traps that he faced, everything, and at the very end, told him that he was betrayed by his comrades and that he is most probably dead.

Filled with rage, Yeon discarded his name and endorsed his brother’s. He went to that tower in hope of finding the murderers who assassinated his family. He will get revenge no matter what, even arriving at the top isn’t too much of a stretch with all the knowledge that he has.

That light was called Rachel and she was his everything. As fulfilled as he was with her, Rachel, on the other hand, was not, she was after something far greater. So when she was invited to enter the Tower, she left Ban behind and went on an adventure.

When he understood that he was abandoned, Ban didn’t resent Rachel, on the contrary, he went after her and forced his way into the Tower. Amongst all the candidates, Ban had the most innocent of wishes, he just wanted to see Rachel’s smile once again and that humble wish became his ultimate strength.

 This Webtoon is extremely similar to Memorize but got higher points on it here and there. So our MC, Ryu Han-Bin, was also a soldier in the army. When he was discharged, he was transported to a weird place filled with monsters.

Like he didn’t fight enough for his life already, he was now faced with an even more dangerous situation, he never got a break from battle.

In order to survive, he had to become extremely strong, and a “Guideline” was supposed to help him on the road.

Lucky him, the guideline he got has a glitch and is piquing all the wrong routes for him. Which ultimately made him overpowered since he was faced with the most unbelievable trials and yet managed to make it, miraculously.

 As this Manhwa was introduced, it sounded like a very typical one. A tournament was going to be held across all schools around the world to determine who the strongest high schooler is. The winner of the tournament will have the right to ask the organizers to fulfill any one request.

It was supposed to be all about martial arts, however, there is a very exciting twist awaiting us. First of all, it’s not a simple contest that is being held, there is a huge conspiracy behind it.  

Second of all, the real martial artists are the ones who managed to awaken their “Charyeok”. It’s a sort of manifestation of their guardian spirits or something like that.

Anyways, guess who the Charyeok of the main character, Jin Mori, is. It’s Son Goku in the flesh. Not the guy from Dragon Ball, the God.

 

11. My 990 Thousand Past Lives Help Me

What he didn’t know is that he also inherited the Black Heart of the Shadow Monarch and is destined to become his successor. He was destined to become the Monarch that was feared by all the other Monarchs.

From the weakest being of Earth into a God that can control Death, that’s quite a big leap.

 

Conclusion

I won’t lie to you, I read every single one of those Manhwas and they are all awesome in their own way.

Thing is, I do believe that those interested in this genre already read the top Manhwas in this ranking, however, don’t hesitate to try the other options.

It’s just that competition is harsh and we have so many magnificent stories, the bar is set very high but I guarantee that all those stories are reaching it.
