Hello there, weebs! We are back again with some anime recommendations that have the best—I mean—TOP TIER GOD LEVEL BEST animations!
Since we all have our own preferences, I scoured through the net and talked to people I know, which anime they find is captivating in terms of its animation.
Additionally, of course, I also did my research. And with that, I came up with this list of 28 Anime with the Best Animation.
Without further ado, let’s start, shall we?
ANIME WITH IMPRESSIVE AND ENJOYABLE ANIMATION!
28. Tokyo Revengers

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 6/10 | 6/10 | 6/10 | 18/30 |
A series that focuses on Hanagaki Takemichi who died and woke up 12 years in the past. Knowing all of the unfortunate events that took place in his teenage life, he decided to change his fate and the fate of the people close to him.
This series will give you a glimpse on what the early 2000s look like in Japan. Basically, being part of a gang is a norm for most teens. From the plotline, animation and its art quality, this series hooks you in to hypothesize on what’s going to happen, once Takemichi returns to the present.
Do you find this series interesting? Wanna know more on how the story builds up? Then, my dear readers, watch this series and let me know what you think of the story.
27. Assasination Classroom

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 6/10 | 7/10 | 5/10 | 18/30 |
If you’re into a serious-action packed genre with unexpected humor as the “spice”, then this series is for you! Assasination Classroom (spoilers ahead!) is about an extremely powerful Alien Octopus named, Koro-sensei, who plays the part of a teacher in a group of students who are considered outcasts in the school. For these students, they only have one goal, and that is to assassinate their teacher before the school year ends.
One of the best episodes for me is, no doubt, season 2, episode 24 (Assasination Classroom, Season 2, Episode 24: Graduation Time). This episode will remain in your head as a core memory in the entire series. It’s the most emotional and heart wrenching episode (at least for me) to the point that it leaves you with a lot of unanswered questions.
26. K-On!

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 8/10 | 6/10 | 6/10 | 20/30 |
K-On! It’s a series that involves Five female high schoolers who aspire to be musicians. With that, they joined a club called the “Light Music Club” and built a band together- with Yui the lead guitarist, Tsumugi the keyboardist, Mio the bassist, Ritsu the drummer and Azusa the rhythm guitarist. These 5 girls began their journey as musicians together!
One of the best scenes in this series is, of course, their performance during their School Festival (K-On! Season 2, Episode 20: Yet Another School Festival). The songs played were Fuwa Fuwa Time and U&I. This episode was iconic and at the same time emotional, since it was their last performance before graduating.
If you are into J-Pop, then I suggest you listen to their music too! Watch the series and you’ll have a good time vibing with the Light Music Club.
25. Tokyo Ghoul

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 7/10 | 7/10 | 6/10 | 20/30 |
Tokyo Ghoul follows the life of a normal college student, Ken Kaneki, who suddenly turned into a half-ghoul, after experiencing a deadly encounter with his date, a ghoul, who tried to eat him. Talk about a crazy first date. Ghouls are creatures that eat human flesh, like vampires, to survive.
One of the most noteworthy scene in this series was the part where Ken Kaneki was tortured by Yamori (Tokyo Ghoul, Season1, Episode 12: Ghoul). Which led Kaneki to unpack the repressed memories of his childhood and his relationship with his mother. The scenes that were portrayed were gorey and at the same time, you could feel the emotions seeping through but nevertheless, I think the animation in this scene is on point.
24. Overlord

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 8/10 | 6/10 | 6/10 | 20/30 |
Overlord, an anime that screams too OP! Every single character is too powerful and the main character is the strongest among them. Oh, did I mention this anime is an Isekai-type of series, but truck-kun wasn’t involved?
We follow Ainz Ooal Gown, an undead, and his followers who plan to build his own kingdom. This series will provide you with so many lessons about how every single one of us will do anything to achieve our own goals. As well as to protect those people we love, basically, surviving in this world.
In addition, this series is induced with “craziness” and “obsession” since some of the side characters are overly obsessed with the main character. Aside from this, the animation is quite exceptional. Overlord is a series that I would recommend to my dear readers if you are into an anime that is quite serious in a way but still has great animation.
23. Darling in the Franxx

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 7/10 | 7/10 | 6/10 | 20/30 |
A mecha, science fiction-romance anime where your heart is on the line. This series flutters and breaks your heart into a thousand pieces as you go through the whole season. You’ll be needing a lot of tissues and a pillow when you watch this series.
Darling in the Franxx is a story that focuses on Hiro, a former prodigy and Zero Two, a hybrid pilot who wishes to be a full-pledged human. This series can be considered as an underrated anime and a gold mine, if you really dwell yourself into the plot.
One of the best episodes that I find quite captivating is episode 13 (Darling in the Franxx, Season 1, Episode 13: The Beast and the Prince). This is the origin story of Hiro and Zero Two, how they met and fell in love. This episode would leave you enamored with how the animation quality is shown as well as how the story was portrayed.
22. Dr. Stone

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 7/10 | 7/10 | 7/10 | 21/30 |
Are you into an anime that also helps you learn a thing or two about science? If so, I highly recommend this to you!
Dr. Stone follows the modern world, where every human was mummified after a sudden flash of light lit up the whole world. A few millennia later, a high schooler, Senku Ishigimi, awakens and finds himself lost inside a forest full of human statues. With this, he decided to build the modern civilization back through the power of SCIENCE!
From its plot, origin stories, art quality and animation, this series is something worth binging! Not to mention, the beautiful characters that you would most probably simp for, especially Tsukasa Shishio.
If you are curious about this anime series and how the story goes, go watch it! Come back after and let me know what you think!
21. Black Clover

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 7/10 | 8/10 | 6/10 | 21/30 |
An anime series that is quite similar to Fairy Tail, but has its own spice. The similarity between these two anime is that both of the main characters are the type of people in which the term “giving up” is not part of their dictionary.
The story starts in the Clover Kingdom wherein, everyone has some sort of a magic power. On the other hand, Asta, our nun-loving simp MC, who doesn’t have any powers, wished to become the next Wizard king (because he wants to marry the nun). Although he doesn’t have any magic powers, because of his strong will to “not give up” he was able to join the Black Bulls, a knight squad in the kingdom.
Do you wanna know what’s going to happen next? Well, my dear readers, I urge you to watch this fun series. You would be amazed at what secret powers Asta has and to top it off, the animation quality is something you should look forward to!
20. Naruto: Shippuden

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 8/10 | 9/10 | 6/10 | 23/30 |
One of the best classic anime that we all grew up with! Everyone (or maybe not all) might probably know who Naruto is, what he aspires to be, and the challenges he has to encounter. This series can ultimately be considered as a fan favorite (well, for me).
As most of you guys know, the story focuses on Naruto Uzumaki who has the nine-tailed fox, Kurama, sealed inside him. Naruto is basically possessed by a demon. He aspires to be a Hokage someday. With that, he will experience a lot of challenges and heartaches along the way. In this series, we will be able to see how Naruto grows up as a person and his never ending character development.
One of the best fight scenes in this series, which I think most of us will agree, is the final fight between Sasuke and Naruto (Naruto Shippuden, Episode 476: The Final Battle). This fight was emotional and at the same time, you would be able to see the real feelings both of them had for each other. One of the most iconic scenes in this fight was how it ended with both of their hands touching, which is considered as a form of friendship.
If you hadn’t finished this series or watched it, then I recommend you to watch the entire series!
19. Bleach

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 7/10 | 9/10 | 7/10 | 23/30 |
Another best classic anime out there! A childhood anime series that I think most weebs grew up with, together with One Piece, Naruto and Inuyasha. If you don’t know any of these anime, then you might probably be living inside a rock! Just kidding!
A little synopsis for this series is that it follows a high school student named Ichigo Kurosaki, who turned into a substitute Shinigami and attained his power through Rukia Kushiki, a Shinigami herself. This began his journey to save the world from the “Hollows”. Along with that, there would be secrets that are uncovered and some hidden plot twists that are unexpected.
One of the best battles in this series is the fight between Ulquiorra vs. Ichigo (Bleach, Season 14, Episode 7: Ichigo vs. Ulquiorra, Conclusion)! You could see how astonishing the animations were, it’s so fluid and smooth. You could feel the emotions and the reasoning as to why they both fought.
18. Hunter X Hunter

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 9/10 | 8/10 | 6/10 | 23/30 |
Hunter x Hunter is about a kid named Gon, who was left behind by his dad (he should’ve named him Gone instead) to journey around the world as a Hunter. This made Gon to also embark on a journey in finding his absent father. With this, he was able to uncover and experience a lot of things.
One of the epic scenes was the Chimera Ant arc, there was an episode wherein the battle of the strongest Nen users, Netero and the Chimera Ant King, Meruem took place. For me, this fight scene was the best, in terms of animation and storyline. It would leave you astonished and in awe with how detailed the artwork was.
17. Great Pretender

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 8/10 | 7/10 | 8/10 | 23/30 |
A Netflix Anime Series that you can binge-watch in one day! The story focuses on a small-time con man from Japan named Makoto Edamura, who was swindled by Laurant Thierry, a French thief who targets wealthy people. This forces Makoto to go with Laurent and swindle countless rich people from around the world. This series is full of mischief (like Loki, if you are into marvel), wit, manipulation and a lot of scheming.
Aside from the amazing plot line, the animation is something you would be engrossed over. One particular scene that amazed me by how smooth the transitions were, is in (spoilers alert!) season 2, episode 9 (Great Pretender, Season 2, Episode 9: Case 4_9: Wizard of Far East). This is where they were able to pull off their one last trick in scamming a high profile Yakuza.
If you plan to watch this series, then you’re in for a good show!
16. Castlevania

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 9/10 | 9/10 | 7/10 | 25/30 |
Next up, is a vampire-themed series that is based on a video game. From its storyline, animation and art, this Netflix anime series is worth your time.
This series starts with Vlad Tepes AKA Dracula and his wife Lisa Tepes, who died. There is also a vampire hunter who wished to avenge his family that died from the hands of a vampire. With this, the story will take its turn for the worst because of the death of a certain someone.
One of the best animated scenes in this series is season 2, episode 7 (Castlevania, Season 1, Episode 7: For Love). This episode gives you a lot of emotional switch, you are either sad, happy, or thrilled in a single episode. Personally, this might be biased but, this episode will leave you with so many thoughts of “what ifs” and “if only”.
15. Bungo Stray Dogs

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 10/10 | 8/10 | 7/10 | 25/30 |
An anime series considered as a hidden gem. Bungo Stray Dogs follows a guy named Atsushi Nakajima, a weretiger who is part of the Detective Armed Agency that aims to protect the whole of Yokohama from the Port Mafia. Atsushi’s role in the agency was that he was given different tasks to handle from solving mysteries, to running a business and accomplishing certain missions along with the other members of the agency.
As someone who has watched this series, one of the best fight scenes was Episode 28 (Bungo Stray Dogs, Episode 28: Only a Diamond Can Polish a Diamond). This is where Dazai and Chuuya teamed up together to beat Rando. Their fight scene was so captivating that you wouldn’t take your eyes off it!
14. Hellsing Ultimate

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 8/10 | 9/10 | 8/10 | 25/30 |
Hellsing Ultimate, regarded by many, as one with the best animation quality. This series will absolutely blow your mind! The fight scenes were so fluid to the point that each and every detail of the gore and bloodshed were animated beautifully.
A short summary of this series, it focuses on a vampire named Alucard, Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, his master, and the new member, Seras Victoria. This group has one goal and that is to protect the nation from a crazy general who wanted to wage a never-ending war with his army of vampires. Curious? Go ahead, watch it and let us know what you think!
13. Kakegurui

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 10/10 | 10/10 | 7/10 | 27/30 |
Do you like playing card games? How about gambling? Then you might probably have a “gambling addiction”. Just kidding!
Kakegurui focuses on Hyakkaou Private Academy, where the sons and daughters of the wealthiest families all over Japan study. The academy lets their students practice “gambling” as a way to educate them. A student named Yumeko Jabami (a character you should simp for), transferred to the academy.
She isn’t an ordinary gal who gambles just to win, she is merely there just to satiate her crazy desire to gamble (yes, gambling addiction at its finest) and risk her life for the fun of it. Curious on how the story goes? Well, go watch the anime! The craziness, unexpected plot twists and its development will captivate you to the point that you will end up binge-watching the entire series.
12. B: The Beginning

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 10/10 | 9/10 | 8/10 | 27/30 |
A netflix animated series that has two protagonists in it. The first is Keith Flick, known to be a genius investigator. The other one is Koku, who is in search of his lost partner. The story revolves around an investigation in search of a serial killer known as Killer B.
One of the scenes that highlighted its top tier animation was the battle between Koku and Izanami. The animation quality and art is something you would appreciate. The expression of each character and the emotions portrayed was very detailed as well.
Wanna know how this story ends? Go ahead and watch the series, let us know down in the comments below what you think!
11. Mob Psycho 100

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 9/10 | 9/10 | 9/10 | 27/30 |
An anime series with the same author as One Punch Man. This anime is about a high school kid named, Shigeo Kageyama, who is trying to live a normal teenage life. But he constantly runs himself into some trouble, which forces him to use his powers. Oh, did I mention that he has telekinetic abilities?
Well, this is why he is too OP for an anime character. Aside from the main character being too overpowered, the comedic chemistry he has with his boss is something you would find entertaining (because his boss is technically a con-man).
One particular scene I find quite entertaining is when he had a fight with the enemy called Koyoma (Mob Psycho 100: Season 1, Episode 8: The Older Brother Bows – Destructive Intent). The CGI, flow of each panel and the characters; emotions are detailed to the point that it would astonish you.
10. One Punch Man

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 8/10 | 10/10 | 10/10 | 28/30 |
One of the most ICONIC anime of all time! I promise you, you won’t get bored! From its godly animation to its sick storyline, this anime series is packed with many things!
This story follows a superhero named, Saitama, who could beat ANY monsters/villains. You know why this anime is called One Punch Man? Well, with just a single punch, monsters/villains all turn into smithereens.
One of the most iconic scenes in this series is the battle between Saitama and Boros, where you can see how magnificent their attacks and powers were (One Punch Man Season 1, Episode 12: The Strongest Hero). The fight scene was so beautiful and the animation was top tier.
9. Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 9/10 | 10/10 | 9/10 | 28/30 |
An anime that will surely leave you salivating as if you could smell and taste the food from your screen. Food Wars follows Soma Yukihira, who aspires to be a full-time chef and to surpass his father. With that, to achieve his dream, he studied at the most prestigious culinary school in all of Japan.
I tell you, the animation in this anime is godly. Also, the recipes that were presented in the series were real recipes that you could probably cook too! As well as, the techniques in processing the food can be made in real life. I find it quite hard to describe the beauty this anime has, how each character and the food was portrayed is something out of this world!
8. Demon Slayer

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 10/10 | 10/10 | 9/10 | 29/30 |
You might have heard of this anime from a lot of social media platforms mentioning how superb this series is. Well, they are not wrong. The series focuses on the journey of Tanjiro, who sets out on a journey to avenge his family who were slaughtered by a demon and to find a cure for his sister, Nezuko, who turned into a demon herself.
Personally, one of the best scenes that I love from this anime is when Zenitsu first showed his true ability (with his eyes closed!) during a fight with a Demon (Kimetsu no Yaiba: Season 1, Episode 12: The Boar Bares its Fangs, Zenitsu Sleeps). You could see the godly animation that never ceases to amaze me. The plot, origins of each character, and the pacing of the story is GOD LEVEL.
For my dear readers who haven’t watched this series, I seriously recommend this to you 10/10!
7. Fire Force

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 9/10 | 10/10 | 10/10 | 29/30 |
Fire Force is a story that starts with a mysterious phenomenon that ensnared the whole world. This phenomenon is called Spontaneous Human Combustion where a person turns into a creature known as Infernal. They burn their whole body, suffer an unimaginable agony of pain, and go berserk. Basically, frying these people non-stop which created a global crisis for human existence.
One of the best scenes in this series is the battle between Shinra and his brother, Sho, (Fire Force, Season 1, Episode 22: Brothers Determination). The art style and animation, as well as the plot, screams AMAZING. You would be shocked by how the story develops in the later parts of the series.
Again, I would like to recommend this series to my readers! Fun fact (major spoilers ahead), this series has something to do with Soul Eater.
6. Attack on Titan

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 10/10 | 10/10 | 10/10 | 30/30 |
You might probably know this series since it has been mainstream for quite a while. Aside from that, the plot and its twists can either make you go cry or question everything. The story follows a young boy named Eren Yeager, who wanted to eradicate the entire Titan species, after he saw his own hometown get devoured by Titans and the death of his mother.
You would find this series quite captivating in a way. From the plotline, to the roles of each character as well as the animation, MAPPA and Wit really did produce the best mind boggling series. One of the best scenes that most, if not all, agree is the part where Eren first turned into the Attack on Titan.
5. Fate Series

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 10/10 | 10/10 | 10/10 | 30/30 |
This anime series has one of the best animated fight scenes. Essentially, the Fate series has other installments that fleshes out the stories, but each installment has a different main character. Meaning, each segment of the series has a wide variety of stories that would surely keep you entertained.
In other words, you get to have multiple MC’s to simp over (more husbandos and waifus for you). Furthermore, if you have watched this series, you too would agree that the animation of its fight scenes is impeccable. The animators really did take time in creating the most fluid animation that awed the entire weeb society.
For me, one of the best installments in the entire series is Fate/Zero. It’s a spin-off series in which it happens way before the original story began. Plus, this storyline took quite a dark turn compared to the other segments. If you are interested in watching this GODLY anime, then I recommend you search for the guide/watch order for this series on our site!
I promise you, you won’t regret watching this!
4. Jujutsu Kaisen

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 10/10 | 10/10 | 10/10 | 30/30 |
Jujutsu Kaisen is about a high schooler named Yuuji Itadori who suddenly encountered a cursed item (a finger), and then ate it. Basically, turning himself into the vessel of a demon named Sukuna who is known as the “King of Curses”. With this, he starts his journey as a Jujutsu sorcerer, in Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical High School.
If this piqued your interests, then I recommend you to watch it! Since there are a lot of episodes where the animation is top tier, personally, as someone who watched this series myself, one of the best scenes you should look forward to is in Episode 7 (Jujutsu Kaisen, Season 1 Episode 7: Assault). This is where Gojo (part of the toxic husbando club) showed his Domain Expansion, and I kid you not, the art is unfathomable, it’s just plain beautiful.
3. Howl’s Moving Castle

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 10/10 | 10/10 | 10/10 | 30/30 |
An all time favorite classic animated movie, produced by Studio Ghibli. The story begins with Sofie who has led a normal and uneventful life. Her life took a turn once she met Howl, a magician, who lives in a flying magical castle.
One of the most ICONIC scenes in this movie is how Sophie meets Howl. In that part, I’m sure everyone had butterflies. We could see how Howl saved Sophie after she was being unwantedly hit on by two men (that are also unwanted). In addition to that, both of them tried to escape from the shadowy slimes that were following Howl.
This scene would seriously charm you with how Howl acts towards Sophie. In addition to that, the transitions were so smooth considering that this is quite an old movie.
2. Spirited Away

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total1 |
| 10/10 | 10/10 | 10/10 | 30/30 |
Another all time favorite classic animated movie. Spirited Away follows a child named Chihiro, who ventured around a run down adventure park. However, that park is where ghosts gather so she was forced to stay and work there so that she could save her parents, who turned into plumpious pigs.
There are a lot of captivating moments in this movie. In particular, the spirit train scene is by far the most beautiful part in the entire movie. You could see the fluidity of the animation, the beauty of a peaceful afternoon ride. You will definitely get entranced with the smooth transition of it. In addition, as each light passes through the window at the train, you would be able to see the spirits boarding and leaving the train.
This scene would leave you enamored with how exquisite the animations were. Not to mention, the background music fitted well with that scene.
1. Your Name

| Plot | Animation | Character Writing | Total |
| 10/10 | 10/10 | 10/10 | 30/30 |
Better known as “Kimi no Nawa”, a movie that would leave you astonished with the story, visuals and beautiful animation. The word “Beauty” is a huge understatement in describing this captivating anime. This masterpiece of a movie produced by Makoto Shinkai, talks about Taki and Mitsuha, who both lived completely different lives, but suddenly switched bodies.
All I can say to my dear readers is that this whole movie provides you tons of emotional damage. Personally, one of my favorite scenes in this movie was the part where the meteor fell and the background song, Sparkle, suddenly played. I tell you, it gave me goosebumps.
Conclusion

Have you found another anime to binge? To be honest, there are so many more anime that need to be added to the list but this is all I could give, for now. Hope it piqued your interests!
