Hello there folks! How have you been? I hope you are doing well and that you are fine. Anyway, I welcome you on IWatchItAll, and yes, again, we are back with another fantastic blog.Â
So, today I’m here with another watch order. And we have a new generation of shounen anime here. We can say this anime is still a kid; it has a long way to surpass his father. Yes, we are here with the Boruto watch order.
So, we know about Boruto: Naruto Next Generation, right? Like it’s the future generation of the Naruto series. We all grew up watching the Naruto Series. It has a particularly spot in our hearts, and now we have Boruto—his son, and he is trying his best to build his name as well.
However, many people don’t like the Boruto Series. You might be one of them but just wait, you’ll see that Boruto is actually a great anime, and it MIGHT surpass Naruto someday. For now, Boruto is still pretty fun to watch.
Anyway, keeping everything aside, we’ll talk about the Boruto Watch Order in today’s blog. Not just the watch order, but we’ll also talk about some of the most popular arcs, and I’ll tell you why Boruto is worth watching.
Without wasting any time, let’s get into my blog.
HOW TO WATCH BORUTO?
Boruto Chronological Order
- Boruto: Naruto Next Generation
- Boruto Series: Episode 1-51
- Boruto: The Naruto Movie
- Boruto Series: Episode 52- 240
Boruto Arcs
First of all, Boruto is not yet divided into seasons. Maybe it’ll be divided into seasons in the future, but for now, Boruto is divided into Arcs. The Boruto series has been airing for 4-5 years. And by now, there are a total of 23 Arcs.
Most of them are filler arcs, and they’re not so entertaining. But some arcs are worth every second. Boruto might seem tedious, but some of its angles are just way too good with god-level animation and plot.
So, I’ll tell you about some of the most popular arcs in the Boruto series. I’ll let you know the episodes as well to watch them.
1. Academy Entrance Arc
Besides, we’ll see how troublesome Boruto is, and he really is Naruto’s son. This arc has a significant part where we can see Boruto in some action. An unknown beast appeared in the Hidden Leaf, and later, Boruto fought it.
We’ll even meet Sarada, aka Sasuke and Sakura’s daughter, and Mitsuki, Orochimaru’s son. Later, they became the new Team 7, and their team leader/sensei was none other than Konohamaru.
It seems like it was just yesterday when Konohamu and Naruto used to show each other their iconic transformation Jutsu. But look at them now, one is the Hokage, and another is a Jonin/sensei. And Konohamru might become the next Hokage.
This arc starts at episode 1 and ends at episode 15.
2. Sarada Uchiha Arc
This is the second arc of the Boruto series. Like its name says, UCHIHA, we’re going to see a new Uchiha family in action, including Sasuke, Sakura, and their daughter, Sarada. And yes, a new Uchiha is introduced in this arc.
Just so you know, this new Uchiha is not the real Uchiha. He is a self-proclaimed Uchiha who is the test subject of our very own Orochimaru. This self-proclaimed Uchiha’s name is Shin. Even his Sharingan are clones that are made from Itachi’s DNA.
In this arc, we can see Naruto training Boruto and later, Naruto saving Sarada and Chocho from one of Shin Uchiha’s “sons.” This was also the arc when Sarada met her father, and Sasuke almost killed her for the first time.
If I have to say what this arc is, it is basically focused on the new Uchiha family. We can see Sakura being protective towards her daughter and husband. The same goes for Sasuke. Sarada got to know more about her father, and her doubts were also cleared.
This arc has a lot of action, and it’s pretty entertaining. We even get to see Naruto and Sasuke fighting together, and also witness one of Naruto’s coldest moves in the Boruto series. “CALM DOWN KURAMA.” This arc starts at episode 17 and ends at 24.Â
3. Konohamaru’s Love Arc
In this arc, Konohamru met a girl, and at some point, they both started liking each other. However, that girl was about to marry, but something very odd started happening. When everything settled down, that girl lost her memories which she made with Konohamaru.
Even Konohamru didn’t tell her anything, and she married someone else. Man, I felt so bad for Konohamru, but at that moment, I realized not everyone gets a happy ending. Even Boruto realized how hard it was for Konohamru to let that girl go.
This arc starts at episode 116 and ends at episode 119.
4.Chunin Exam Arc
Ok, I don’t think I have to tell you about the Chunin Exams, right? Like we’ve seen the Chunin exam before in OG Naruto, and they were death battles. Chunin exams are always fun to watch, but we know one thing: nothing ever goes as planned.
In the Naruto Chunin exam, we saw how Orochimaru attacked the Hidden Leaf and killed the Third Hokage. In the Boruto Chunin exam, some Otsutsuki attacked the Hidden Leaf Village. The Otsutsuki literally came out of nowhere and started attacking.
However, everyone was present there, such as Sasuke, Sakura, Shikamaru, Gaara, and Naruto. There were more of our OG characters who helped people during the attack of the Otsutsuki. But Naruto gets kidnapped, he actually sacrifices himself for his people. His duty as a Hokage was to make sure his people were safe.
At that point, Boruto realizes that his father is a real hero and whatever he does, is for him, his family, and for the people. That day, Boruto finally acknowledged his father. There is a lot of action in this arc, and yes, we can see our favorite duo, Naruto and Sasuke, in full action.Â
This whole arc starts at episode 56 and ends at episode 66. This arc is also the adaptation of the 2015 movie Boruto: Naruto the Movie.
5. Time Slip Arc
So, we know this show is called Boruto: Naruto Next Generation, right? It means we are in the future. In this arc, we’ll see how Sasuke and Boruto’s time traveled and went back to the past when Naruto was still young. They went back to that time when Tsunade was the Hokage.
Boruto met his father, who was his age. They spent time together, and Boruto realized what his father had gone through. During this arc, he even saw the power of Nine Tails which makes Naruto go berserk.
This arc gives a nostalgic vibe. When I saw Neji and Jiraiya, I was like, dude, you don’t have to do this to us. Boruto even saw his mother, Hinata, who had a massive crush on Naruto, which was totally obvious.
One of the best things about this arc is when Boruto meets his Uncle Neji and Jiraiya. Bruh, it was so heartwarming to see these characters again. In this arc, an Otsutsuki appears known as Urashiki, and Sasuke, Boruto, Naruto, and Jiraiya fought him.
This episode starts at 128 and ends at 136.
6. Kawaki Arc: Kara Clash
Dude, I’m telling you, whatever happens, don’t miss this arc. Don’t you even dare miss a single episode of this arc. It is one of the best arcs of the Boruto series. This arc has emotions, action, an op villain, and anything you ask for.
At the arc’s beginning, we’ll see Kawaki for the first time, who is also a vessel like Boruto. Kawaki was actually fighting a member of Kara and was pretty much beaten up. However, when he came close to Boruto, his karma seal activated.
Kawaki overpowered the Kara member; not just overpowered, but he killed him. Even Boruto and the rest of team 7’s life came into danger. Later, Kawaki was taken to the Hidden Leaf, where he met Naruto. Naruto decided to take care of Kawaki.
Later, Jigen was introduced, and he wanted Kawaki back, but Naruto didn’t want that to happen. Naruto and Sasuke both fought Jigen, but they were easily defeated by Jigen even though Naruto was kind of sealed in different dimensions.
Later, the new Team 7 went to retrieve Naruto. And guess what? Borushiki was introduced for the first time, and he was way too powerful. This arc has many different parts, but each part is fantastic and worth it.
This arc starts at episode 188 and ends at 209.
7. Kawaki Arc: Otsutsuki Awakening
Tell me one thing: is Kurama your favorite character in the whole Naruto and Boruto series? Then you are not ready for this arc. We can say it’s the second part of the Kawaki arc. In this arc, we’ll see it was not Jigen who was the enemy; instead, it was someone else who was more powerful.
Before going to the main thing, let me tell you one thing: one of the Kara members’ real identities was revealed. That member was Kashin Koji, and he was the clone of Jiraiya, which according to the sources, was created by Amado using Jiraiya’s DNA.
Jigen was just a lie; the truth was Isshiki Otsutsuki. Isshiki was inside Jigen’s body, or we can say Ishhiki was controlling Jigen. It’s pretty complicated. Ishhiki came to the Hidden Leaf Village to get his vessel, Kawaki, back.
Isshiki defeats most of the Ninja of Hidden Leaf easily, including Lee, Konahamru, Kiba, etc. Later, he fights Naruto, Sasuke, and Boruto in another dimension. Dude Isshiki was way too powerful for Naruto and Sasuke.
Baryon Mode was not free; Naruto paid it with Kurama, the highest price of his life. Baryon Mode used Kurama’s Lifeforce, resulting in Kurama dying and leaving Naruto’s body, and Naruto couldn’t stop him.
Kurama was gone, and Isshiki was defeated. When everyone thought it was over, Borushiki came out of nowhere and destroyed Sasuke’s RINNEGAN. Later, Naruto, Sasuke, and Kawaki fought Borushiki, which didn’t take time because Boruto gained control back.
This arc is just too much to take. We lost two most essential things: our beloved Kurama and Sasuke’s Rinnegan. This arc starts at episode 210 and ends at 220.Â
8. Chunin Re-Examination Arc
Ok, so we know that the Otsutsuki attacked during the chunin exam, right? Because that Chunin exam couldn’t continue. But later, the Chunin Exam started again in the old OG Naruto style. The Chunin exam has three stages like before.
The first stage is a written exam where participants have to pass in the Hidden Leaf itself. If they pass, they’ll go to the second stage, and if they fail, they won’t be allowed in the next phase. I still remember that Naruto didn’t write anything in his chunin exam, and he still passed.
The second stage is actually 3-on-3 man combat in the Forest of Death. Dude, Boruto is nowhere near Naruto in terms of the Chunin exam. I mean, the Naruto Chunin Exam was a deathmatch. In the second stage of the Naruto ChuninExam, you can never forget what happened.
The third stage is 1v1 combat between all the left participants who passed. And this is where the real fun begins. It does bring some memories back. It’s like seeing the old generation again. We have new and side characters, and their fighting styles are different.
This arc has a lot of entertainment, and it’s worth your time. This arc starts at episode 221 and ends at episode 227.
Boruto Movies
1. Boruto: Naruto Next Generation
His family includes Hinata, his wife, Boruto, his son, and his cute adorable daughter, Himawari. Our boy Naruto came a long way. There was a time when he wanted to cry because there was no one for him, but look, now he has a family of his own.
Ok, enough with being emotional. This special is actually just 10 minutes long, so it can’t be considered a movie, but it’s ok to put it in the movie category, right? In this special, it was the day when Naruto was about to become the Hokage which was his dream.
However, something unexpected happened, and he couldn’t attend the Hokage Ceremony. I don’t know why I’m not shocked. I mean, we are talking about Naruto, nothing ever goes as planned for him, and now we have his son, and he is as troublesome as Naruto used to be back then.
Even though Naruto didn’t attend the ceremony, he still became Hokage because someone else took his place by disguising himself. After this special, the real Boruto: Naruto Next Generation Tv series starts. Believe me, you’ll feel proud when you watch this special.
2. Boruto: Naruto the Movie
So, let me tell you one thing if you skip this movie, it won’t change anything. This movie is actually in the anime series. This movie is based on the Otsutsuki Invasion, which happened during the Chunin Exams.
Naruto was kidnapped by the Otsutsuki, and the new Kages went to rescue him, but they couldn’t defeat Momoshiki Otsutsuki. However, later Sasuke and Boruto went to save Naruto. This was where the real fight began: Naruto and Sasuke vs. Momoshiki Otsutsuki.
Dude, this fight was insane, like my whole body got chills the entire time. In the end, Boruto stole the entire show by defeating Momoshiki. However, Boruto became the vessel of Momoshiki. We even got to see Boruto’s Jougan.Â
This movie will show you fights, but they are not complete. Most fights in anime are like 10-15 minutes, however, in this movie, it’s mostly cute parts, hence it is not that fun to watch. If you watched this movie first before watching the special or the series, you wouldn’t understand anything.
I’ll recommend you to watch the series first and then watch this movie or don’t watch it at all. It is not going to change anything.
Why is Boruto Worth Watching?
They even nerfed our favourite waifu’s, Hinata and Tsunade in different ways. Boruto is more like everything is in peace while Naruto is at war every day.
Whatever we have in Boruto is because of the Naruto series, the peace, the calmness. It’s all because the past generation did their best and some even sacrificed themselves for the future generation. And guess what? What they wanted is actually in Boruto. It’s the peace that everyone wanted.
Look, people even hate Masashi Kishimoto, author of the Naruto and Boruto series. Everyone claims he is the one to blame. After all, he created Boruto. It’s his writing, his creation, right?Â
If you think about it, if Masashi Kishimoto hadn’t nerfed the previous characters, the new generation wouldn’t have gotten the spotlight. Its BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATION, not NARUTO: IN THE FUTURE. Giving the spotlight to the new generation is what Kishimoto is doing.
Look, to be honest, I don’t hate the Boruto Series at all, you want to know why? Then listen, Boruto is still young; his character development has not entirely started yet. Give this show some more time, and you’ll see that Boruto is a fantastic anime.
Boruto has even more powerful villains than Naruto. Take Isshiki, for example; he can beat both Kaguya and Madara. Boruto’s characters, like the new generation, are still learning, and their parents are what we call heroes. Not to mention Baryon Mode broke the internet.Â
Boruto’s animation is clear, its story is maintained, and we have not seen a lot. The Boruto series just needs some time like Naruto Shippuden. I’m pretty sure we’ll get a proper Time Skip in Boruto, and after that, we’ll see what this anime is all about. Those who have not watched Naruto and are watching Boruto actually love it.
If we go back to the first episode of Boruto, we’ll remember the Hidden Leaf was destroyed; it was just Kawaki and Boruto fighting. And fun fact, everything that is going on in the Boruto Series right now is Boruto’s memories that he remembers while fighting Kawaki.
There are a lot of mysteries in Boruto, like what Kawaki meant when he said, “I’ll Send You Where I Sent The Seventh Hokage.” Does this mean Naruto is actually dead in the future? Right now, Boruto is just remembering him?
The more you watch Boruto, the more you’ll get curious, and there is a chance that a new Kage might try to kill Boruto, which leads to a whole new WAR. Code vs. Naruto is not yet animated, and Code is even stronger than Isshiki, so just think where this is all going.
On the other hand, we who grew up watching Naruto hate Boruto. There is no point in hating Boruto. Boruto has its own special element. Boruto and Naruto are both different. Once you understand this, you’ll like Boruto for sure.
Conclusion
Oh, hi there! So, you are here. It means you read the blog, so what are your thoughts on Boruto? Do you like it or not? Be honest, okay? We shouldn’t hate Boruto. We might regret hating it in the future because it might blow our minds and amaze us.
Every anime is good in itself so let’s just not hate them. Anyway, let me know what you think about the Boruto Series. Also, let me know if this blog was helpful or not in the comment section. I’ll be waiting for your comments. BYE-BYE.
