People in the community have gone insane, and their Chakra is being drained by an unknown force. Boruto and his pals are attempting to put a stop to it.

After a series of terrible incidents, it was discovered that Sumire Kakei, Boruto’s Ninja Academy class representative, was behind all of the unexplained happenings.

The second arc of this anime begins with Shino Aburame teaching his students the great technique of walking on water. Afterward, Sarada was seen upset and thinking about something.
Sarada’s dissatisfaction was later revealed to be due to her father’s absence since she had never seen him. She had always wondered and asked about her father’s whereabouts and why he was not returning home, but no one ever responded.
She was so shaken by her father’s absence that she began questioning her mother about whether or not she was her biological mother. The next day, Sarada found a photo album from the house and saw some pictures that gave rise to her curiosity.
She decided to go on a journey to find her father and ask all the questions she had been asking everyone for years after seeing the image. But when she started following Naruto, a guy named Shin appeared to kidnap Sarada but Naruto saved her.

They arrived safely at their destination, but things didn’t go as smoothly as they had hoped. Sasuke raises his sword to Sarada, believing she is the same girl with whom he has previously battled.
Sarada ultimately discovers the truth about herself after all of her strange travels. But after getting revealed the truth, she was broken into pieces. You must be thinking what the secret was. Well, I will not tell you that LMAO.

The third and most crucial arc in Boruto is the School Trip Arc. Despite the fact that this section was not included in the manga, it is extremely important. Boruto and his classmates embarked on a trip to Kirigakure in this arc, but it was not as calm as it appeared.
Boruto gained a new acquaintance named Kagura during the journey. Boruto and his pals then headed to the Hidden Mist Academy, where the drama started. Kagura’s ex-classmate abducted Denki, but when Boruto and Kagura went to save Denki, a startling fact about Kagura was revealed.
What could be the secret you must be wondering right? HAHA, I am not going to tell you because I do not want to spoil it for you. The action in this arc is intense and worth watching. The soundtrack, the animation, everything about this arc is fantastic.
School Trip Arc consists of 8 episodes and all of them are Canon episodes. There is not a single filler episode in this arc and thus it can not be skipped.
Â
4. Graduation Exams Arc (33-38)

Following the exciting School Trip Arc, our ninjas are now preparing for their graduation. Boruto and his buddies begin the Graduation Examinations Arc by cheating on various tests but Boruto received a perfect score on the exam and did not cheat at all.
But now, it’s time for a physical examination. Boruto and his friends are about to be put to the test by the sixth Hokage, Kakashi Hatake.Â
I know you must be particularly intrigued this time because of Kakashi’s comeback, but I’m also looking forward to seeing the pupils against their teachers.
You might be wondering what type of physical examination Boruto and his buddies underwent, so I’ll just say it was the same one Naruto and his friends went through (WOW).
If you’re still hoping I’ll tell you whether they passed the exam or not, I’m sorry to disappoint you because I won’t HEHEHE. However, if you want to satisfy your curiosity, all you have to do is watch this anime and find out for yourself.
The Graduation Exams Arc consists of 6 episodes and all of them are canon. There is no filler episode in the Graduation Exams Arc, as you may have predicted. So, if you’re thinking about skipping this arc, don’t. Who would want to miss Kakashi’s appearance?
Â
5. Genin Mission Arc (39-42)

The Genshin Mission Arc is one of the shortest arcs in this anime. It only consists of 4 episodes. This arc revolves around the story of the formation of team 7. After passing the graduation exam, our ninjas were assigned to a teacher for their first mission.
Team 7 was made up of three people, and you’re probably wondering who they were. Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki are in this team. This arc not only focuses on Team 7 but also on the evolution of all other teams.
If you enjoy seeing how other teams improve, you should keep an eye on this arc. The Genin Mission Arc has four episodes, two of which are fillers. Half of the episodes in the Genin Mission Arc are fillers.
This arc can be skipped because it contains no significant events.
Â
6. Byakuya Gang Arc (43-51)

The Byakuya Gang Arc is quite famous for its writing. This arc has one of the best storylines in this anime. In the first episode of this arc, we meet a lot of new characters, or we can also call them villains.
The villains are believed to be robbers wearing owl masks (I hope they don’t also make odd owl noises).
This gang’s actions have been on the rise, and they need to be stopped, but who is going to teach them a lesson? That’s a secret I’ll never tell you because I don’t want to ruin it for you. This is a great arc with a story point of view but there is a problem.
You’re probably thinking that the issue is with the animation or the characters. If you believe that, you are entirely incorrect. Byakuya Gang Arc is a filler arc, therefore the problem isn’t an issue. You can skip this arc as it has nothing to do with the main story.
Who skips the great story and the action-packed fighting scenes?
Â
7. Chunin Exams Arc (52-66)

The Chunin Exams Arc is also known as the Versus Momoshiki Arc. It is one of the most important arcs of Boruto. The main antagonist in this arc is Momoshiki Otsutsuki who came to Earth intending to absorb life’s chakra.
The story also follows the development of Konohagakure under Naruto Uzumaki’s rule as the village’s Hokage. We get to view the new Chunin Exams, which look to be much different from what we’ve seen previously.
As Momoshiki anticipates the Chunin Exams, he is eager to achieve his objectives, but what will happen once the exams have begun?
Is he going to be successful, or will our ninjas defeat him? I’m not going to tell you that, HAHA. So, to get a sense of what will happen next, watch the Chunin Exams Arc.
Furthermore, this arc is packed with incredible action sequences and plenty of adventure, so don’t blink while watching it or you are going to miss it.
There are 15 episodes in the Chunin Exams Arc, and none of them are filler episodes. By looking at the fact that there are no filler episodes, you may understand the importance of this arc.
Â
8. Chocho Arc (67-70)

The Chocho Arc is offered after a lot of battling and adventure to brighten your mood. This is the shortest Arc of Boruto that only consists of 3 episodes. This is a filler arc which means it can be skipped easily.
If you think that skipping it will have an impact on the main story, then you are wrong but why would you even think of skipping it? This arc revolves around Chocho and her love for food.
Chocho is a minor character that would sacrifice anything for her meal. You are correct in your assumption that she would miss her ninja lesson and go out to dinner. She just sees food, and she only wants food.
After much thought and investigation, I’ve concluded that Chocho is just like me, and I’m serious about it. I mean who does not love food?
So, rather than skipping the Chocho Arc, you should watch it since it will brighten your mood.
Â
9. Mitsuki’s Disappearance Arc (71-92)

The Mitsuki’s Disappearance Arc is one of the most important arcs in Boruto as it shows how and why Mitsuki went missing. I was shocked after hearing about Mitsuki’s disappearance. But why did he suddenly go missing?
It was shown in the anime that he wrote some sort of letters. We can also call them confession letters and then ran away. He even injured some people while running.
Everyone was concerned about Mitsuki’s behaviour since he was the sort of man who would never abandon his friends and would always stick by them in any situation. There are some people who’ve been calling him a traitor but deep down we all know he is not.
What exactly happened to Mitsuki and why did he vanish? Is he a traitor (Which I believe he is not) or has he been kidnapped? Only Team 7 could find that as they were his teammates.
So let’s wait for them to get into action and find the truth behind Mitsuki’s sudden disappearance.
This arc can not be skipped as it does not have any filler episodes. So, if you are thinking of skipping even one episode of Mitsuki’s Disappearance Arc, then you probably should stop right there.
Â
10. Naruto Shinden: Family Day Arc (93-95)

This is Boruto’s tenth and also one of its shortest arcs. This arc contains no battles, but only charming moments. When I first watched this arc I was delighted to see a bond between parents and their children. This Arc is also known as Parent and Child Day Arc.
This event was organised by Naruto so that parents and their children could spend a day with each other. In this event, we see all of our heroes after a long time together. I was also so excited to see Sasuke after a long time.
Everyone can be seen enjoying and hanging out with their parents. Naruto was spending his time with Himawari trying to get a teddy bear for her, while Boruto was hanging out with his friends (I hope he doesn’t ruin this day because he is a troublemaker LOL).

When Sasuke finally came back to the village, he was confused. He asked Boruto about the ongoing situation. Sasuke finally got to spend his day with Sarada after Boruto talked about the Family Day holiday (How cute).
Sarada was overjoyed to see her father, as his absence had always irritated her.
This arc was filled with entertaining activities and competitions, such as food eating. I know what name came to your mind when you heard about the eating competition. If Chocho came to your mind when you heard about the food competition, you are correct.
Naruto Shinden: Family Day Arc consists of 3 episodes and all of them are mixed canon/filler. You should watch this arc as it gives you positive vibes.
Â
11. Jugo Arc (96-105)

The Jugo Arc is also known as Cursed Seal Arc. It’s simply a brief arc, but it’s one with a lot of meaning. You can know this arc is about Jugo just by glancing at the title. Jugo was a Shinobi who suffered from aggression issues, making him vulnerable.
He has been proven to be dangerous to a variety of people since he loses his mind and control when he becomes enraged.
The Jugo Arc also provides us with some insight into curse seals, including how they are created. Many great characters from Naruto reappear in this arc. This is also one of the reasons why this arc is so well-known among Boruto fans.
The Jugo Arc consists of 10 episodes out of which 4 are complete filler episodes. The Jugo Arc has 40% fillers. You may skip those filler episodes, but I encourage watching them because they showcase Jugo’s character development.
Â
12. Steam Ninja Scrolls Arc (106-111)

Steam Ninja Scrolls Arc revolves around Mirai. You guys must be wondering who Mirai is. So, let me tell you. She is the personal bodyguard of Naruto, the seventh Hokage. Naruto assigned her an S-level mission. You’re probably wondering what that mission may be.
Do not worry, I am here to tell you. Mirai was assigned the mission to protect Guy and Kakashi Sensei. Yes, you have heard it right. This arc specifically shows us the character development of Mirai.
Kakashi and Guy are also seen talking and having a fun talk with each other which is also a wholesome moment in this arc.
In addition, we witness Mirai protecting Guy and Kakashi (I know it sounds kind of funny as Kakashi and Guy do not need a bodyguard for themselves).
The Steam Ninja Scrolls Arc has only 6 episodes and all of them are mixed canon/filler episodes. Many people debate it to be a filler arc but it covers some important events. It’s entirely up to you if you want to skip this arc.
I would suggest you watch Steam Ninja Scrolls Arc as it is full of fun events.
13. Konohamaru Arc (112-119)

The main hero in this arc is Konohamaru. You guys can tell that just by looking at the name of this arc. If you don’t know who Konohamaru is, then don’t worry, I got you. Konohamaru is the grandson of Hiruzen Sarutobi.
Konohamaru was a true companion of Naruto and always believed in him. This arc shows his story about how he finds himself a beautiful girl. You must be thinking about who that girl might be. Well, her name is Remon and she is a really fine lady.
You’re probably thinking how great things are going. They are going well, but not for long since Remon has lost her memory. That’s not all, she even got angry with Boruto and Konohamaru when they both went to meet her. She even shouted at them to leave (Ouch!).
Now you’re thinking that’s it, but it’s not over yet. I feel sorry for Konohamaru and I am also feeling sorry for you guys because I am not going to tell you anymore HAHAHA. You should watch this arc and find out for yourself.
The Konohamaru Arc has 8 episodes and all of them are fillers. This arc can be skipped as it has no link to the story but why would you want to skip it? This arc is filled with laughter and fun.
14. One-Tail Escort Arc (120-126)

If you are waiting for Boruto to blow up and show his true fighting skills, then you are about to witness it. Believe me, this arc shows us the true abilities of our main character of this anime, Boruto.
You’re probably wondering who Boruto is battling, so don’t worry, I’ll tell you. Well, he is fighting the Otsutsuki. I know you are surprised now and are curious to know about the whole situation.
I can’t tell you what happens next, but I can tell you one thing: they both put on a fantastic battle. After such a long time, I’m sure you were looking forward to a battle like this. The One-Tail Escort Arc has 7 episodes and none of them is a filler.
So, if you’re thinking about skipping this arc, don’t, since it provides us a preview of the next one, and who would want to miss an arc with such amazing combat scenes?
15. Time Slip Arc (127-141)

Next, is the Time Slip Arc, which you can tell what it’s about just by glancing at the name. If you think it has something to do with time travel, you are correct.
The Boruto anime has its haters, and some people have second thoughts about it, but this arc is well-known.
Are you curious about what occurs in the Time Slip Arc? Let me tell you something. Boruto is given the opportunity to travel back in time and meet the younger versions of Naruto, Sasuke, and other characters.
I know you’re anxious to see this arc right now; after all, who wants to miss out on all those memorable moments of watching Naruto and Sasuke back in action?
The Time Slip Arc is one of my favorite arcs as I am a Naruto fan.
The Time Slip Arc has 15 episodes out of which 3 episodes are completely fillers and one of them is a mixed canon/filler episode. The Time Slip Arc has 26% mixed canon/filler episodes.
You can skip those filler episodes but I suggest you watch it as those episodes are filled with lots of nostalgic moments.
16. Mujina Bandits Arc (142-156)

This is one of Boruto’s strongest arcs. Boruto, Mitsuki, and Sarada face the Mujina gang in this storyline. Don’t worry if you’ve never heard of the Mujina Gang; I’m here to fill you in.
Shojoji is the main person behind the Mujina Gang and he leads them.
The Mujina Gang is a group of Shinobis that have run away. We can also call them traitors as they abandoned their village. The Mujina Bandits have appeared, but why have they appeared so suddenly?
Is there something they’re planning? Well, I’m not going to tell you that because I want you to figure it out for yourself by watching. The Mujina Bandits Arc has 15 episodes out of which, 4 are filler episodes.
The Mujina Bandit Arc has 26% filler episodes but it can not be skipped as it tells us about the secret mission Team 7 has been assigned to.
Furthermore, this arc introduces a new character as well as the return of a badass villain. This arc appeals to me as a fan of action-packed scenes. You won’t regret watching it.
Â
17. Kara Actuation Arc (157-177)

If you have any concerns about Boruto, don’t worry; this arc will dispel them completely, and you’ll want to watch the show again. You’re probably wondering how that’s going to happen, so let me explain.
This arc is the explanation of the Manga and to get a grasp of the story, you can not skip this arc as it is directly linked to the next arc.
Isshiki Otsutsuki is the boss of this heinous organisation. The Kara Actuation Arc has 21 episodes and none of them are fillers. Yes, you have heard it right. Now you can understand the significance of this arc.
So don’t think of skipping it since it will show us the moments when Team 7 realizes they are still vulnerable.
They’ve taken things seriously now and are training as hard as they can to get stronger, but who will be able to fight Kara? The only way to find out is to keep an eye on this arc.
18. Vessel Arc (178-187)

The Vessel Arc is my favorite arc. Well, when I tell you about it, it will become your favorite arc as well. This arc is full of action and old memories. Even writing about this arc gets me excited and makes me want to see it again.
The Vessel Arc is also known as the Ao Arc and this arc introduces us to a character we all thought to be dead. Yes, you are right I am talking about Ao who was killed by Madara during the war but somehow, he managed to survive.
We’ll finally see some action combat sequences now that Ao has returned. Boruto and Naruto are also seen fighting with the villains (YAYYY). If you think that’s all this arc is about, then let me tell you that you are wrong as we also see the organization named Kara.
As a Naruto fan, I enjoy seeing him fight baddies because it brings back memories. The Vessel Arc has 10 episodes and not a single one is a filler episode. As you can see, there isn’t a single filler episode, so don’t even blink.
19. Kawaki Arc (188-220)

The Kawaki Arc introduces us to a new character and you can guess the name of the character just by looking at the arc’s name. Kawaki is introduced in this arc and he is not just an ordinary character but also a powerful guy who’s been raised by Naruto.
We get to discover some of Kawaki’s past in this arc, and wow! I have grown to love him. There are a lot of battle sequences in this arc, and some formidable antagonists are introduced as well.
Everything about this arc is fantastic, and don’t even get me started on the fighting scenes, since they’re all out of this world. The Kawaki Arc has 33 episodes out of which only one episode is a filler.
If you skip this arc, it will be your loss because the Kawaki Arc is one of the most essential arcs in Boruto.
20. Chūnin Re-Examination Arc (221-230)

Our Ninjas had to repeat the Chunin tests after the Kawaki Arc for various reasons. This is Boruto’s final arc for now because upcoming episodes have been announced but not released yet.
This test is well-known since our MC, Boruto, was welcomed on a live TV show and all of the examinations are shown on television.
People from all around the country are watching the examination since it is broadcast on television. To pass the exam, all of the teams were given extremely interesting problems and were required to work together to complete them.
It’s a nice arc since there are a lot of adventures in it. The Chunin Re-Examination Arc has 10 episodes and none of them are fillers.
Movie Breakdown
A popular anime would be incomplete without a film adaptation, as films convey a story about the anime while still being interesting to watch. Boruto also has a movie, which I shall discuss in depth.
Boruto: Naruto The Movie

Boruto, the son of the Seventh Hokage, Naruto, is the protagonist of this film. Boruto’s major plot revolves around his inability to garner his father’s attention due to his hectic schedule.
Boruto gradually learns about his father’s responsibilities, and his major goal now is to show his father that he is just as powerful as him. Now is the time to take the Chunin Exams, and Naruto will be present to observe the examination. Boruto is so excited about this event.
You’re probably wondering why he’s so worked up. Well, he’s always wanted to show his father how powerful he is, and now is the greatest opportunity to do so as Naruto will be there watching him from the stands. While the Chunin examinations were taking place, something horrible was about to happen. The major antagonists of this film are Momoshiki and Kinishiki Otsutsuki, who sought to murder Naruto.
Is Naruto going to sacrifice himself for the sake of the town or will he be able to overcome them and save the village? That question is answered in this film. Overall, this is a fantastic film with plenty of action and combat sequences. It also has enjoyable situations, which is why I liked this movie. As a major fan of Naruto, the main reason I watched it was to see Naruto fighting and defeating powerful enemies.
This is a canon film, thus, you cannot skip it. So be sure to see this movie to fully immerse yourself in the plot.
Conclusion

So, this was our filler list for Boruto. I know some people have negative views about Boruto but trust me, it’s worth watching.Â
If you’re a die-hard Naruto fan, you’ll find Boruto dull at first, but with some character growth in our main character, you’ll fall in love with this anime. So, I’m going to recommend that you check it out!.
