Kimetsu No Yaiba Zodiac Signs

Aries (March 21 – April 20)

Akaza

akaza
  • Birthday: March 20

For real, this guy often reminds me of Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen, most probably due to the markings he has on his body. Still, his markings are just so delicate and artistic that you might want to have one yourself.

But dig this:

Akaza is a powerful, stubborn, and irrational demon that loves combat, particularly with other powerful Demon Slayers. He despised everyone he considered weak but sincerely admired those he thought to be powerful, regardless of race.

Sakonji Urokodaki

Sakonji Urokodaki
  • Birthday: March 27 (Fictional)

Do not forget how cold this old man has always acted towards Tanjiro while training him, especially with the near-death traps he always sets up for the lad. And just how uncanny and emotionless he always seemed. But later on, we got to see that he did care for Tanjiro, Giyu, Nezuko and was even hurt by the number of students he’d lost to the Hand Demon.

His care and trust in others were evident in his belief that Nezuko should be left to travel with her brother. He believed that she wouldn’t hurt another human and that with Tanjiro, she would be comfortable, safe and also kept at bay.

And before I forget, like Giyu Tomioka, Sakonji was also a Water Hashira.

Taurus (April 21 – May 20)

Swamp Demon

Swamp Demon
  • Birthday: April 11

This is one of the not-so-pretty demons in the Demon Slayer series, yet one whose power was distinct. Maybe this was even so because of his ability to become three different demons. Yet, these three demons have different personalities and can even act as though they weren’t one.

But basing this Demon’s Zodiac on the main Demon, it’ll only seem natural to say he’s a Taurus, for he is just always so calm, serene and analytical, irrespective of whatever situation he finds himself in.

Inosuke Hashibira

Inosuke
  • Birthday: April 22

In the Demon Slayer series, Inosuke is a character that needs no prior introduction, even though his natural face wasn’t shown that much. Aside from the fact that he wears a boar head as a mask, Inosuke is actually a pigheaded young man who likes to think of nothing else but being the strongest wherever he is.

But of course, he’s protective of those around him, as his loyalty knows no bounds to those he cares for. And despite his prideful attitude, he later becomes quite mellow after spending some time with Tanjiro and gets to admire the young lad.

Kyojuro Rengoku

Kyoujurou Rengoku
  • Birthday: May 10

For me, this guy is the exact depiction of what a Fire Hashira should look like and almost looks like the perfect natural role model for Tanjiro. For someone so disciplined, fierce, strong, yet lovely, amiable and cheerfully eccentric, the former Hashira is someone you’d relate with more if you’re a Taurus.

Despite his outgoing personality, Kyojuro is a tactical and analytical thinker who acts swiftly and accurately when the survival of others is at stake. And considering just how charming and manly he is, there’s no doubt, he’s still the ladies’ choice among the characters in this anime.

Kanao Tsuyuri

Kanao Tsuyuri
  • Birthday: May 19

Wow! Just wow!! Who would have thought Kanao has the same zodiac sign as Kyojuro? Maybe my surprise is because while Kyojuro is a quick-witted fellow who’s able to think reflexively on the spot, Kanao suffers greatly from indecision, which, sadly enough, is the trauma of abuse she endured as a child.

Kanao is the type of character you couldn’t miss in the entire series, as she’s just so quiet and gentle, hardly ever talks, yet is always there, especially during the Rehabilitation Training Arc. But alas, she gradually got over her indecision and made choices for herself later on.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

Mitsuri Kanroji

Mitsuri Kanroji Demon Slayer
  • Birthday: June 1

One of Mitsuri’s most notable characteristics was that she was an extremely emotional and compassionate person who frequently complimented others in her brain; this may have contributed to her title as “the Love Hashira.” But isn’t that what the Gemini star is all about?

Mitsuri, despite her shyness and proneness to panic, was always friendly to others, especially Obanai, with whom she seemed to have a special relationship with. When it comes to the cause of the Demon Slayers, she shows a lot of commitment. In spite of being taken out of the fight by Muzan at quite an early point, she remained determined and returned to the fray.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

Yahaba

Yahaba
  • Birthday: June 27 (Fictional)

This guy’s demonic powers are just so profoundly impressive, and it is something I’d love to have, except the sinister parts of it. And even Yahaba is someone you’d like based on his personality, for he is so calm, quiet, and relaxed. An exact opposite of Susamaru.

Yahaba’s first appearance was in the Asakusa Arc when Muzan sent Susamaru and him to go find and kill Tanjiro. But one thing that’s really cool and scary about his power is that he could use invisible arrows to move anyone and anything, and he just wasn’t predictable, for his calm looks would most definitely let you take him as a weakling.

Tamayo

Tamayo
  • Birthday: July 2

Hey, have you even noticed that this isn’t the first character we have under the Cancer sign? But check them all, and if you’d noticed, you’ll see that they’re characters with near-double personalities, as they could easily switch between being really playful into being pretty serious-minded fellows.

Despite her soft demeanor, Tamayo radiates wisdom and intelligence. Having spent most of her adult life researching the underlying science of demons and their transformation, she was an actual bank of information in the show.

Tanjiro Kamado

Tanjiro Kamado Demon Slayer
  • Birthday: July 14

A character that needs no introduction and is the centerpiece of the whole Demon Slayer series. The Main Character whose story is what all of Demon Slayer is about. Well, just what do we have to say about his character on par with his Zodiac sign?

I’m sure that in the creation of Tanjiro’s profile, the creator of the series researched what the Cancer zodiac is all about because all that we see from Tanjiro’s personality fits precisely with what we know about Cancer.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

Muzan Kibutsuji

Muzan
  • Birthday: July 28 (Fictional)

As his birthday is unknown, just a single glance through his character profile would already tell us undoubtedly, Muzan must have been born with the Leo Zodiac Sign (July 23 – August 22). And this isn’t just a result of his being the Numero Uno of demons, but also his pride, intelligence, and cruelty he so often exhibits.

Muzan is icy, merciless, threatening, and brilliant. He finds little value in humanity and much less in his subordinates. Even as he brutally murders his subordinates, he remains indifferent and monotonous.

Rui

Rui
  • Birthday: July 24 (Fictional)

Do you remember Rui? You do, right? He’s the eldest son of the Demon Spider family, (that fake family of Spider Demons brought together by him). Even the family in itself is a parody of what a real family should be like, as all the members, including the father and mother, all live in fear of Rui (their supposed son, but in actual fact, master of the house).

Rui definitely isn’t the kind of person you’d want to have as your brother, as that is seen in how brutally he treats his siblings whenever they “do not perform their duties”.

And even yet, the funny thing about this “boy” is that he seems really cool, calm and collected, like someone who’s incapable of defending himself. And yet, he very nearly killed Tanjiro, as he is the Kagen no Go (Lower Rank Five) of the Twelve Kizuki.

Muichiro Tokito

Muichiro Tokito
  • Birthday: August 8

As a significant supporting character in the Demon Slayer series, Muichiro’s personality would have you thinking that all his thoughts are just solely about himself alone, and that’s pretty true. He is a quiet kid who appears to be continuously lost in thought and unable to concentrate on anything.

But as time went by, Tanjiro soon discovered more to Muichiro than meets the eye. And despite his lazy nature, you would see him as an entirely different person whenever duty calls. But like a Lion to his cub, he is truly understanding and compassionate.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

Gyomei Himejima

gyomei himejima demon slayer
  • Birthday: August 23

It’s no big feat saying that Gyomei is still the most emotional amongst the Hashiras despite his terrifying appearance. Undoubtedly, his physique would get you thinking that he’s a dominating character. But actually, almost the reverse is the case, as he would easily just start crying at even insignificant things.

Gyomei’s skeptical temperament makes it difficult to fully trust and accept others. As soon as he allows others into his life, he is unshakeable in his devotion. Does all this remind you of someone that happens to have the same Zodiac as him?

Zenitsu Agatsuma

Zenitsu Agatsuma
  • Birthday: September 3

Zenitsu is no doubt the award-winning crybaby of the year! And yet, the most loved by fans! With Zenitsu, one moment that would take your breath away is when he switches and gets to use his lightning form to fight; the chill of that moment is just so good!

One more thing: did you know that the sign for the Virgo zodiac is actually “The Virgin“. I guess that explains why Zenitsu is always fidgety around girls, especially when it comes to Nezuko.

Obanai Iguro

Obanai Iguro
  • Birthday: September 15

Obanai is a stern and uncompromising guy who has no regard for those who violate the Demon Slayer code of conduct. His expectations of his other Demon Slayers are borderline crazy. But like the rest of people born under the Virgo sign, he actually cares about two of his companions, and is even later revealed to have a crush on Mitsuri.

His admiration for Mitsuri was even more obvious when he threatened Tanjiro for growing too close to Mitsuri, and he just couldn’t bear it anymore. And like the serpent that denotes his zodiac sign, he’s just so unpredictable.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Kagaya Ubuyashiki

Kagaya Ubuyashiki
  • Birthday: October 3 (Fictional)

Taking a critical look at it, there are about five Zodiac signs which Kagaya’s personality would fit perfectly under, and yet among these five (Capricorn, Virgo, Taurus, Aquarius and Libra), Libra seems to have a stronger hold on the argument on which Sign the Demon Slayer Corps leader was born under.

As the Demon Slayers’ leader, Kagaya maintains a calm attitude and treats them as his children. As a result, he can accept criticism well and is honest about his faults, one of which being his ineptitude to become a Demon Slayer, although he is their leader.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 22)

Tengen Uzui

Tengen Uzui
  • Birthday: October 31

Tengen is a striking and quirky guy who is seen to be constantly striving to be “flamboyant.” He is frequently shown to boast, declaring himself a “deity” in front of Inosuke, Tanjiro and Zenitsu and demanding that they regard him as such. Apart from this, Tengen has a casual and assertive approach toward people.

But do not be fooled by his flamboyant acts, as he uses that to mask his caring side. And you can’t miss that in the way he treats his three wives, namely Suma, Hinatsuru and Makio. You could also say he suffers from an inferiority complex, as he compares himself to the other Hashiras and is even quoted to have asked the question: “Do I look like I have the talent to you?”

But what gives? That’s just about the downside to the Scorpio gist, as they seem to mask certain parts of themselves with other acts and yet do not think they are up to par with whoever is around them.

Susamaru

Susamaru Demon slayer
  • Birthday: November 7

One word that would come to your mind as you think about Susamaru is “that crazy girl”. Because let us face it, Susamaru is one person you’d never want to have a face-off with, especially with her six arms and six demon handballs.

Susamaru is a cheerful person who appreciates a good challenge. And just what is her favourite catchphrase? “What fun this is!”, that is her famous catchphrase, and she’ll say it over and over again if she’s having a good time. And what she considers as “having a good time” is when she’s fighting a capable opponent. Yahaba’s sincerity contrasts sharply with her childlike immaturity.

Yushiro

Yushiro
  • Birthday: November 13 (Fictional)

If there’s anything that would make Yushiro smile, it would either be whenever he’s busy fawning over Tamayo or whenever he’s spending time with her. To be sincere, I would give anything to have someone as loyal and devoted as he is, so much as hating any other person who comes close to her.

Yushiro is the sort of boy you can’t even move close to because his entire personality tells you just two things: anger and short temper.

He has a quick temper and an arrogant attitude, and he appears to look down on everyone around him. In fact, in his first encounter with Tanjiro, he insults Nezuko for being unsightly and almost fights with Tanjiro.

Sagittarius (November 23 – December 21)

Sanemi Shinazugawa

Sanemi Shinazugawa Demon
  • Birthday: November 29

Unlike other famous names known to be born under this star, Sanemi does seem to be an ambassador of his Zodiac. Because unlike people like Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, and Jay Z, Sanemi is aggressive, fiery, outgoing, and headstrong. He is also frequently rash and ready to strike out.

He is usually cold to others and is prone to rage. However, still, these are pretty much like side characters attributed to his Zodiac, or more like his personality.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

Nezuko Kamado

Nezuko Kamado
  • Birthday: December 28

No doubt Nezuko has to be born under a lovely, beautiful, protective, caring and sweet Zodiac, for that’s just about what we know her to be. As a human, Nezuko was playful, lively, charming and yet responsible, always acting like a deputy mum to her siblings, even to her elder brother, Tanjiro.

Nezuko is someone you could determine as a near-perfect character, for even when she transformed into a demon, she still retained her beautiful personality and even showed more love and loyalty to Tanjiro. She was constantly chipping in whenever he’s in danger, much to the surprise of humans and demons alike.

Genya Shinazugawa

Genya Shinazugawa
  • Birthday: January 7

Genya is the one person that would come to mind whenever you hear the word “lone wolf“. And asides from that, he doesn’t like receiving help from others; he also is quite unruly and rude to all those around him.

Just like Verk said, “Capricorns are always willing to give up anything to achieve a goal” Genya did all he could to help his allies in their fight against some demons, to the point of getting his body wounded very severely. You can’t get enough of Genya with his “always handy shotgun” that’s ever ready to blast away at some demon.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 19)

Murata

murata
  • Birthday: January 18 (Fictional)

As a side character, not much is known about this guy, aside from his first appearance in the woods, where the Spider Demon mother had massacred his other colleagues by controlling them to kill themselves. Seeing that, young Murata got discouraged and tried to run away from the scene to leave such a hassle to the Hashiras.

Indeed it’s understandable that Murata is a good lad and that he’s devoted to his work as a Demon Slayer. Still, going against such odds while fighting the Spider Demons, that would shake anyone, including you and I.

Giyu Tomioka

Giyu Tomioka
  • Birthday: February 8

Like his Zodiac sign, Giyu Tomioka is the Water Hashira in the Demon Slayer series. Giyu’s face is constantly stoic and unfazed by anything. Despite his restrained demeanor, he harbors a fierce sense of justice for individuals who do not see their limitations and recklessly waste their lives.

As we get to see in the series, so long as a demon doesn’t kill and loses its humanity, he is prepared to make an exception for them and let them survive. He is not as anti-demon as some other Hashira. This demonstrates that he has a better rational approach to dealing with demons than if he had let his rage cloud his thinking.

Pisces (February 20 – March 20)

Shinobu Kocho

Shinobu Kocho Demon Slayer
  • Birthday: February 24

This cute purple-eyed Hashira could very well be said to be two-faced. On one side, she’s incredibly charming, bright and cheerful, but really, she’s not what she seems to be. And that’s not to say she’s all that bad; her other angry and cruel side is the one that harbors extreme hatred for demons.

But the degree of her hatred for demons is entirely justified, as she lost her little sister, Kanae Kocho, to one of them. And here’s another thing to note, Shinobu always feels inferior to her fellow Hashira, for her lack of height or muscular bodies like the rest of them, but even roses have thorns.

Conclusion

muzan kibutsuji demon slayer

That was pretty much a quick read-through. And I’m sure you did enjoy it. But for the characters that had (Fictional) in front of their birthdays, do note that that’s not their original birthdays, as they were made up based on their personalities as we all saw in the manga and anime of the Demon Slayer series.
